I visited SNZ Locksmith today for their key duplication services to make a copy of my house key. The process was very smooth and affordable. It was $8.50 to make a copy while another place was going to charge me $15.00. I also had visited the Minute Key kiosk at Lowe's and they didn't have the key blank. The staff member that helped me was friendly and done in a few minutes. SNZ Locksmith is located on 2nd St in Mineola. There is street parking available. read more

Needed to replace broken part of old Arrow deadbolt, rather than replace entire same keyed lock and deadbolt for a steel door. After a lot of calls and running around, they had a fine used part, exact match. Working great. read more

I called Michael at SNZ yesterday to repair my Anderson French door handle/lock. He arrived promptly at 9am this morning and fixed it in no time. He was responsive, on time, friendly, and a fair price. I highly recommend SNZ. read more

I have used them a few times for locks for my business and they do a good job at a fair price. I would recommend them highly.

I was locked out so someone gave me the number. This guy meets me by my house and says "I left all my tools in New Jersey, but you can come and stay over my place tonite, no charge. What are you talking about, I said no thank you. Than he started laughing and said he was only joking. He said he could make me a key for $ 350 cash. I said no thank you, after 15 minutes, $ 300, $ 250, $ 200, he finally did it for $ 75. He got me into my apt but was very unprofessional read more

Needed copy keys got immediate service nice personnel. They have everything you would need. Even safes. Would go again.

On time, pleasant, answered the phone immediately and skilled professional work was performed by the owner himself. My lock broke, I called, a live human being answered, and they showed up even earlier than expected. As anyone can imagine, this is an emergency when you're locked out. I appreciated their quick response and good work. The cost was more than I expected but I have never had to call a locksmith before so I have nothing to compare to the $325 fee they charged. Well worth it for my peace of mind, lifetime warranty, and convenience. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Michael and his associate came when I called them for an estimate. After they dismantled my doors (one of them being a french door with a cylinder lock), they told me that it was going to cost almost $1000 to fix it. After they dismantled one of the doors, I had to use a bungee cord to keep it closed until they returned to fix it. They brought with them what looked like a 1990s leftover item and considered it fixed. A couple of days later it broke off because it was the incorrect lock for the door (It was a full length mechanism for a french door that needed to be replaced). I asked to comeback and fix it. They did not. I am still sick to my stomach that I was taken advantage of. DO NOT USE THEM! read more

I had a key copied it was an expensive key ($17) and when I returned to the city today it does not fit all the way in the door. I called to get a refund and they said they "no longer do refunds on keys" but I could come back and they'd "look at it". I said it would take me 2 hours to drive there and back can they please refund my money the key doesn't work, he said "that's what you say". I told them I would leave a bad review on Yelp are they sure they don't want to work with me on this and he said "no do what you have to do." So, I'm sorry to share but I had an awful experience with this place. Also no one working in the store wore a mask on the day I was there. read more

Absolutely the best lock smith company I ever used. Not going to lie usually companies do nothing but completely ruin my day with how unprofessional they are. The woman I spoke to on the phone was so sweet and professional. They booked the appointment immediately. Michael came with in the hour and put my new lock in . He also made me copies of keys on the spot which was so helpful!! Then he fixed my door for me as well. The door used to slam so loud. He offered to fix that for me which I didn't even know could be fixed. I thought the company was just so quick, neat, professional, and sufficient. I highly recommend this locksmith to anyone!!! read more

Gentlemen ..was nice but didn't have the key I needed.. said he was waiting on a delivery...

My key was stuck In my front door and went to snz for help instead of spending $300 on a whole new set. I have a pretty nice cast iron set. They sold me the exact front bolt lock. That worked but I had an issue with the cylinder also that I didn't know. While trying to put it all together, the cylinder fell apart and tiny pieces everywhere. Took it to them and they fixed it all up. Finally put it all together and it's good as new. Saved me lots of money. read more

On a recommendation from Baldwin brass I have used them once and will never use them again. They were supposed to repair the cylinder (key was hanging up) but managed to make the mortise lock inoperable and left me that way. When I tried to get them back to repair what they broke they tried to sell me a new lock for $750 and wanted me to pay another service charge. The way they handled the situation left me with a very bad feeling like I was being ripped off. I have since repaired what they broke and will never use them again. read more

Don't know anything about locks..call someone else Called to have someone remove Medeco lock from old door and put on new door. Technician didn't ring my bell to let me know he had arrived and only when I noticed the van outside of my house did I go outside. As I approached the van he commented "Can I help you?" with a slight attitude and I said I called about the lock and he then said something that he was working on it and it was "not easy". Any service person responding to a call would knock on the door first, so that wasn't a favorable first impression. After he worked on it a little, he told me something about the issue with the lock being glued and the spring not able to move that made it difficult for him to remove the lock. He said that he talked to his boss about this and his boss told him to rip out the lock but he didn't want to break lock or the faceplate which could have cost more money to get a new part. I told him that I would contact the company that installed the lock to help. I understand his concerns and since he's a locksmith thought he knew what he was talking about and paid the $75 service fee. However, my neighbor, who is not a locksmith, was able to remove the lock in a very short period of time and then install it into the new door without any issue. It seems that person didn't want to do the work or isn't properly trained. Either way I recommend you go somewhere else. read more

Very professional, fast, and friendly. Was able to duplicate key many others could not for a great price.

Had a problem with the lock on the Thule on top of my SUV. The technician couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.

This is a true story! I went here to get my car key copied. When I went to go pay them, they said they don't except cards under a certain amount. So I went to go take my car keys back so I can drive to the bank and get cash. They said no, you can't do that' What?! That's right, they would not give me MY car keys; they said there is a bank across the street and an ATM machine at another location. Because I did not have an account with this particular bank and I had less than $20 in my account (yes the struggle is real), I decided to walk 1 mile to the nearest chase bank. (2 miles in total.) When I arrived at the locksmith, they were closed! Yes my car keys are locked in the store; I arrived 5 minutes after closing time. I called the number that is on the window and the guy said that the employee who I dealt with left and was not coming back. I just could not believe it. What is more, I was forced to leave my car overnight and the next morning I got a $50 parking ticket!... I was heated. I walked into the store demanding my keys and the employee had the nerve to get my keys along with the receipt for the copied key. I said I'm not giving you anything, I grabbed my keys and walked out. I told all my friends and they said that is the craziest story and said they would not patron this business. I will never go there again. PS: My parking ticket was dismissed after I explained to the judge what happened. He said ''If your lying, you got me. Dismissed." Boy was I happy. read more
