We're opening a new store and needs their services. Stuart showed up and did a job that was not only professional, but intelligent and artistic. Solved unforeseen problems on the spot and set us up. I trust nobody else with my home and businessea. read more

Don't use them. Horrible. My wife got locked out and I made the mistake of calling them (I was at work). Guy was rude. Showed up and complained his lunch was interrupted. Then proceeded to look, not attempt to pick lock, and tell her he had drill it. Drilling is the LAST RESORT not first try. Wasn't a fancy lock, run of the mill Schlage. He should've spent 10-15 min trying before drilling but didn't even attempt. And proceeded to tell her "time is money and I can't be here all day". Didn't have to pay him $120 to drill a months old doorknob. Could've had my father in law do it for free. And result would've been the same. And he was also incredibly rude to my father in law as well. Will not be using or recommending. read more

I am writing this review to commend the professional service that I received today. I had a broken back door lock, and I contacted them for assistance. My repair person was Stuart, he was professional, prompt, reviewed the situation and recommended how to fix it. He repaired a multi point lock, and it works great. In addition, he noticed our front door locks were not installed properly. I asked him to look at that as well. He shimmed the door, repositioned the strikers, and the door lock turns effortlessly and is secured. WOW! I am very happy with the service I received, I did not price shop, but to me the value of the work is most important. Stuart is a hardworking professional. I would def recommend them and ask for Stuart. read more

I was locked out and called Assured Locksmith. They arrived in under 30 minutes. Having just bought this home I was able to change all my locks and keys in the easiest of manners. Stuart was helpful and professional as well as polite. Explaining the functions of all entrance locks I am safe and comfortable. Highly recommended without hesitation. Well done !! read more

Assured Locksmith of East Northport was hands down the best locksmith service I have ever had to use before. Stuart showed up on time, wearing a mask, he was very professional and extremely knowledgeable. He fixed my issue with a sliding patio door lock in such an expeditious manner, it was rather impressive. I picked his brain on other issues and he inspected all of my other doors to help identify problematic issues, they were all addressed immediately. In addition, he had a keyless entry lock readily available on the truck which I've been wanting to upgrade to so he installed that as well. I couldn't feel any better about the service that Stuart provided me, thank you. I highly recommend this company and Stuart. read more

Worst customer service experience I've ever had to deal with. Pure disrespect from the staff that haggles you out of your money. Find another local locksmith. The owner had the audacity to yell at my father a customer which was being nothing but polite to him. Unbelievable. read more

Just paid $370 to get into my apartment! The phone service was unprofessional, the service man got here in 40 mins after I was told 25-30. Pulled up in a very rusty van and complained about the parking availability, in a village, while he was in a metered spot but that wasn't good enough. Said the lock HAD to be drilled and replaced then charged me $370 after it was done. Oh and was told I was given a "discount".... what was the real price than ? read more

We called Assured Locksmith at 8:00 this morning due to a problem with our front door. Over the past couple of years, we've had different people come who just did a "Band-Aid" fix, saying nothing more was needed. After reading so many wonderful reviews about this business, we decided to move forward and asked them to come. Within an hour. Stuart Altschul arrived. He gave us several suggestions on how to fix our lock. He was polite, very professional, and extremely knowledgeable. Prior to his arrival I had completed my research on Google regarding our problems- without going into it with Stuart he immediately advised us of what was going on and while I'm not a locksmith, I agreed wholeheartedly based on my research. Our door/ problem was fixed and I felt extremely positive about the work that was done and highly recommend this business to others. We used the East Northport location. This business is a 100% 10. read more

My repair person was Stuart, he was professional, prompt, and pleasant. He reviewed the situation and proceeded to fix everything we needed.

They were so helpful. Stuart arrived first thing in the morning to help me with a lock on my garage. He made the process easy and even checked other locks that I needed some assistance with and was able to handle multiple issues at once. read more

Stewart came right away on Sunday and took care of a difficult lock and door problem. It was not only the lock being broken but the door was broken too. He was completely prepared with all tools so that when he left our home was safe. He was courteous and a pleasure to deal with. read more

I needed new locks put in my house recently because I had some problems with an ex-girlfriend... I'll just leave it at that. I stopped in the shop and spoke to Don, the original owner of the place. It's nice to speak with the owner of the business I am dealing with that is about to secure my house; and not some snot-nosed, mouth-breathing kid at home depot that doesn't know anything other than whats on the package. On top of that, Assured has been open for over 30 years so I was very comfortable in trusting them to secure my home. Why do I know this? I know this because I asked.... I mean they are going to be installing the locks to my home so I wanted to know a few things. I spoke to Don for about 20 minutes and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. He went over a few options and even suggested a few upgrades that made so much sense. I went ahead and booked the job to be done 2 days later. Stuart showed up right on time, and finished the job flawlessly in less time than he estimated. He was a nice guy, we talked for a bit while he was working. He has been working for Assured for over 10 years, you gotta love a small business like that! Yes, like some of the other Yelpers said....The bill was not as low as some other places. But I am securing my HOME, its my whole life in this place! I definitely watch every dollar I spend, and I cut corners these days as much as I can; but when it comes to the safety of my home... no way! I was happy to spend the extra few bucks to deal with a local Long Island small business that is trustworthy enough to be doing business for over 30 years. I did my research and couldn't find any other locksmith like that around here, who knows if you can trust one that has only been in business for a short time. Not me! Go with these guys.... they know what's up! read more

my mom's door lock jammed and fell apart. I called Assured Locksmith and Stuart was there within an hour. He replaced both bolt and key lock and was professional and a pleasure to have in our home. The cost was fair and commensurate with what he did. I highly recommend Assured Locksmith. read more

This is a great place to deal with. Excellent customer service and quick service. Stuart was a pleasure To deal with. Would absolutely recommend read more

Based on my experience, I would recommend that you stay away from this business. I had had keys made there so when we needed work done in the house, I called them. They replaced some door knobs and dead bolts. The bill was outrageous! Afterwards, I compared their prices to other locksmith's and learned that I had been overcharged by close to 100% When I called and later stopped there to complain, I was able to negotiate the bill down by a few hundred bucks. Now, I've overpaid by about 50%! My advice - compare prices, ask for "installed prices", and then decide on a locksmith. I'll bet that Assured Locksmith will not be your choice. read more

I have only good things to say about Assured Locksmith. I called them to open my door after locking myself out from my home. Stewart was pleasant and straightforward on the phone. He arrived exactly on time the next morning and was able to unlock my door without breaking the lock. Other locksmiths would have broken the lock so they could charge me double the quoted price but not Stewart. I found him to be very honest as he charged me exactly the quoted price. I wouldn't hesitate to use Assured Locksmith again read more

They were awful. I called for an estimate to change my lock. When they got here and did the work the price was totally different. They were rude and unprofessional. Do not use them!!! read more

WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL!!! Stuart fixed our lock on the front door AND reset the astragal (which was installed INCORRECTLY by ELEGANT ENTRIES of NASSAU). This had been causing issues with the door for a year. Stuart's level of professionalism and knowledge impressed me greatly and I finally have a working door!!!! read more

I had the worst experience with this locksmith. I lost my motorcycle key called this locksmith the guy told me no problem bring the bike in we can fit a key. Loaded the bike in the pickup and brought it over. After two hours of trying to make a key the guy sent me home and said he would call me when it was done. Got a call an hour later that it was done. I asked him to make a couple of spare keys and I paid the nearly $300 bill! Went out to the bike and tried the key and nothing happens! He told me if the key turns he did his job and its a problem with the bike.   I told him the motorcycle was working perfectly the day before.   Pretty much he said too bad sucker.  I brought the bike to Kawasaki and was told that the locksmith had  destroyed the ignition.  Kawasaki replaced the ignition for $200.  These guys are a ripoff!!! Stay away! read more

Assured Locksmith was wonderful. They repaired a lock on a generic patio door that could not be repacked because the manufacturer was out of business. Stewart, the technician came on time and used his skills & creativity to fix the door. Thanks to him I do not have to replace a patio door. GREAT JOB! read more

I have left this review three times now and YELP keeps removing it because they don't believe it is a real and true review. Well they are WRONG! Heaven forbid someone has something nice to say! I recently visited the shop again to have a key made. They remembered me from previous visits, were kind, courteous and efficient. They are masters at what they do and a please to business with. They are my go to locksmith for work. Here is my previous review that YELP keeps deleting: Excellent service!! Prompt, honest, efficient. They were able to fix my lock on site in less than an hour and even matched my key! They arrived on location within 25 minutes of my call!! Highly impressed! I will never use any other locksmith. They are the best!! read more

0 stars. Assured Locksmith & Safe Co. should not call themselves a business, they are absolute thieves! Do not use them !!!! There are hundreds of other lock-smiths that do the work for a fraction of the price. Shop around unless you want to pay $735.77 to have your locks changed. For example : Called 10 other locksmith in the area and was given a variety of quotes that ranged from $55-150, while other said they would give an estimate b4 ANY work is done. Again, do not use this company !!!! read more

Please, it was awful. The locksmith chopped up my camper door and inside wall of a restored Serro Scotty. When I brought photos the owner kept averting his eyes from them. All he kept saying was "My man has Hands of Gold"...So I said if I bring the camper and my photos are verified then I would like a refund. It's going to cost me over 500 to fix the birch alone. The bill was 300.00 He took off out of the shop with no assurance of making it right after being nasty as heck, and yelling at my husband on the phone. Beware. These bad ratings do not come from nowhere. Now we are out probably 800.00. Do not be as unlucky as we were. read more

I had a very good experience with them. I brought in the door to an electronic, older safe that was left in the house I bought. They got it working for $25.00. They said that that there was rust in the interior of the door, which they had to clean out, and replace batteries, so I was pretty pleased with a mere $25.00! I took off one star because they said they'd call when it was ready, and they didn't - I had to call them after about 10 days. So, a little more organized may help. But overall, good service. I'd go back. read more

Horrible! I hired them to re-key two locks in my home. After breaking one of the locks he tried to hit me with a $90 bill for a service call. I ended up doing what the "locksmith" was hired for and it cost me $5 bucks at Home Depot. These guys are terrible. I would not use them ever again! Beware!!! read more

Professional, timely, and reasonably priced. Refreshing to find them in a sea of locksmith scam artists!

We went next door to our neighbor's for a visit and when we tried to get in our front door our key wouldn't work. Thanks to Stuart, we were in our home with in a half hour of our call. When you have an emergency, the price isn't the ultimate concern....but the care and concern to our situation was. Stuart introduced himself as he got out of his truck. He discussed the options for a new lock and we went with the best, his recommendation...isn't securing your home something that should spare no expense? We also took advantage of our situation and did some additional things that we had been thinking of doing, yes we spent a lot of money, but it was for our security and the prompt service we received was well worth it. I would definitely use them again even if it wasn't an emergency. read more

Not even worth one star. Called at 10 pm and was told someone would be there in an hour. Called back an hr later and no answer. Left a message. Called again two hrs later and no answer again. Left 3 messages and no call back. 24 hr service my rear. I will never recommend them to anyone. They left my aunt stuck out in the cold without a care. read more

Stay away from this company. Was very disappointed with a local business that has been in the East Northport area for as long as I can remember. I just moved back into the neighborhood and suggested my girlfriend call them to get two entry doors and a shed door rekeyed. Well I guess they felt that they were able to take advantage of a woman and charged a stifling $500 fee for this simple service. Never again will I deal with this company and I warn you to stay away!! read more
