Thank goodness someone was home to let me in and I immediately consulted Yelp for a local locksmith. Call me old fashioned but I like to use a brick and mortar store when it comes to locks and security. (Had a bad experience in the city from a "mobile locksmith" years ago but that's a story for another day). I spoke to Jose at Merrick Master Locksmiths, we agreed on a price range and he was at my house in less than 30 minutes. Jose extracted the broken key and fixed the lock in about 10 minutes including a nice hit of WD-40 to lube it up, something I'll do in future periodically to keep things working well. Price was reasonable for a house call and he even threw in 2 free spare keys made at the store later that day. Lock is working perfectly now. Merrick Master Locksmiths offers a wide array of products/services ranging from simple key dupes to high tech keypad lock installation.
