I needed a replacement key for my car. I called and spoke to Rory, he gave so much info on the phone and helped me figure out how to complete the job without necessarily using his services. For my specific make and model, he told me exactly what needed to be done, why my specific car is complex and unless it was an emergency, he recommended I go to the dealer due to my specific car make and model. That is refreshing in today's market. Makes me believe he will not take your money or charge extra to make a buck. He is truly honest, kind and very helpful. I would strongly recommend calling him for your locksmith needs and ask how to proceed before using anyone else. Thanks Rory - i did not use your services this time, but put your phone number in my contact list for when i need a locksmith! read more

The owner was incredibly rude to me. He was sitting in a truck outside the store and watched me walk in. I was in there alone for a good 6-7 minutes before he decided to stroll in. He walked in with no "hello" or anything like that it was "what do you need?". I told him I needed a key copied. He took the original from me, copied it and rang me up. Not a single word spoken. Plus almost $10 to copy a basic key. I'm sure there are a million other places to help with your key and lock needs. Go there instead. read more

I had a Medeco key that needed duplicating--something most locksmiths won't even touch--but this locksmith handled it quickly and professionally. The service was fast, efficient, and the copy works perfectly. Great customer service and clearly very knowledgeable. Highly recommend for any high-security key needs! read more

Fantastic experience. Was able to get a 7-pin and wasn't able to find that elsewhere.

I can say he is extremely rude. I have never met such a rude and unprofessional man in my life. Very confrontational and argumentative. I asked a few questions about a problem with my lock and his demeanor was very nasty and intimidating. I should have brought my husband or my brother with me because I really do not think he would have acted so tough. What goes around comes around. read more

Rory is an expert at identifying and cutting very difficult and oddball keys. He masterfully is able to not only help in any obscure situation but also advise and teach the regular lay person about locks and keys. I have recommended and used his help multiple times and there is no job I have brought to him he is not able to only help me with but save me in the moment. He also saved the day a while back when I lost my car keys. Definitely the best around! Thanks again B&B Lock Technicians! read more

Found B & B Locksmiths purely by chance on line. After trying many other locksmiths who informed me they were unable to duplicate my Medeco key, Rory gave it a try. To my happy surprise, the key he made worked perfectly. If you have a lock or key problem, before you waste time elsewhere, go see Rory at B & B Locksmiths. They are reasonably priced, very knowledgeable, and have an unbelievable stock on hand to solve just about any lock problem. read more

Rory is very knowledgeable and does a quick and professional job. With places like this and honest people who work there being few and far between, I'm glad to have these lock technicians close to home. I will continue to go here for any and all lock/key needs. read more

Rude and condescending ... I'm not the type of person who goes in with an attitude yet I was greeted with one and it continued through the conversation until he was outright condescending. Suggestion...if you are having a bad day don't take it out on potential customers. read more

I've never used a locksmith before but the guy here is a little strange. He acted like he was some big tough guy. I'm not sure I would use them again as I feel very uncomfortable as a lady. read more

I came in to have some keys copied. Simple job. After he cut the keys, I visually inspected them and could see the pattern was not the same. He gave me a big song and dance and assured me they were done right. They did not work. I went back and asked for a refund, which he refused to give, and said he would fix the keys. He also commended that he knew he should have cut them differently at the time. I pointed out that I told him at the time, they did not look right, and once again he gave me an argument and blamed the lock company. He was arrogant and argumentative and never once apologized. Maybe the keys will work this time but I will never go back here and urge you not to as well. The price was acceptable if they had worked. read more

I cannot say enough about the quality Craftsmanship and knowledge of the staff at B&B, I was in a unique situation with my homes front door which only opens with a turn of the key and the key broke. The key was from Italy and all the locksmiths I saw did not have a solution. Immediately when I spoke with B&B they said come in and they had a plethora of blanks. They were extremely helpful and had excellent craftsmanship. Thank You! Regards Joe Sergi read more

Absolute incompetence. Won't quote cost till after work is completed, poorly (technically I was NEVER even given a quote!) Prices change weekly on a whim, $4.50 to cut a key one day, $8.15 10 days later and that's with them cutting key blanks I supplied them! No calls to let you know work is supposedly done. I called to check after not hearing back for a few days, wasnt given a straight answer as to progress and never got a call at all. I had to walk back in after a week and half to check. Dont bother with this place unless you want an endless story on the history of the key and lock you bring in, what years they were used, who invented it, what they ate for lunch the day they did, how long they stood on line at the patent office, the name of the first burglar to ever successfully pick said lock.....instead of them just giving a quote and doing the work. Pray you never need to use them if you're locked out of your house or car. Would be faster and cheaper just to buy a new car and move to a new house.... read more

Very knowledgeable locksmith. I needed new keys for my Accord and a brand new set for my boss' Tahoe. Rory even made a "house call" for my boss' Tahoe to get him a set of keys. read more

Very knowledgeable, Does excellent work. You get what you pay for, that's why you go to the mom and pop shops to have keys made up. And NOT the big retail box stores. I had keys at Home Depot meet up in the past & more than half of them did not work. read more

B&B (Bill and Rory) are fantastic. After calling other locksmiths who were either closed or would have to order a remote for my son's car (after his keychain broke and he lost the remote), I happened upon B&B Lock Technicians. They not only HAD the remote in stock in their extensive inventory but said to come down and they would do it immediately! We went there and were duly impressed with their knowledge and the thoroughness of their work. Their store was well stocked with many items. Rory did the work, programming the remote, precisely cutting the new key, and stored the information in his computer database so should anything happen again, he could just look it up and reproduce it within minutes. Thank you, B&B Lock Technicians. read more

I'm posting this twice because this needs to be on multiple sites to really drive the point home about how lovely Rory was as a representation of this lock company I got locked out and within less than 20 minutes Rory was at my house and managed to get me back in within minutes! He was so fantastic that I asked him to fix my front door that had been broken for months. He explained everything about what he was doing and fixed everything good as new! Seriously recommend them for good prices and for professional and friendly service! read more

Great locksmiths very helpful and very knowledgeable and up to date on all New technology on home and auto needs.

THIS IS MY STORY: So I lost one my vehicles remote keys I went to two separate Auto Dealers to have this key replaced both Dealers had to order the key (2-5 Days ) and I would have to schedule an appointment for it to be programmed, my estimated cost / fees were approximately ($325.00 + Tax) at either dealer. So by chance I stopped in at my towns local locksmith (B&B) they were able to make me a basic chip key right away for my vehicle which the dealers did not even offer. Unfortunately B&B didn't have in stock the version of remote key that I needed as well, so it had to be ordered. Within two business days my key arrived and Rory from B&B notified me, later that afternoon I went to have it programmed and the bill / cost was over 20% cheaper than the dealer estimates. B&B GOING THE EXTRA MILE: So Rory at B&B insisted on reprogramming my vehicles computer and all my keys with a new number so this vehicle would only identify those keys in case the lost key was found, it would be rendered useless and unable to be used. Thank you I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND: B&B Lock Technicians Inc. If you want keys cut that work correctly without having to return them my advice is use this locksmith. I found them to be friendly, respectful as well as very knowledgeable. They seem to stock a large assortment of keys for just about anything you could need a key for, as well as vehicle chip keys and remotes. They also stock a large assortment of safes and locks for all your personal, residential and business security needs. read more

We misplaced the keys to our car a few days ago and spent over an hour looking for them to no avail. It was a Sunday evening around 5pm and I was concerned we weren't going to be able to find someone since it was the only set of keys we had for the car. I went to Yelp and found B&B in nearby Farmingdale, I got Rory on the phone and he not only offered me a very reasonable price to open the car but was able to cut a key for it right there in his truck. After opening the car, cutting the key, signing the paperwork and paying him we were on our way. It was a very positive experience and I would recommend B&B to anyone either in a similar situation or in need of keys. This guy is a perfectionist and would not leave until everything was working and we were good to go. read more

Rory is the best in the business. I bought an old Explorer and key I had only worked the ignition and rear hatch. I thought I needed another key made for the driver & passenger door. I pulled the driver's side cylinder and took it to B&B and left it with Rory. He called me an hour later. He was honest enough to let me know he didn't need to take apart the cylinder. All that was needed was some lubricant. The cylinder was working with the ignition key I already had! Since I had the Explorer with me, he shot lubricant in to the passenger side and in no time that cylinder was working as well. Rory didn't want to charge me anything {but of course I gave him some beer money}. What you get from Rory is knowledge, honesty and a fair price. You can't ask for any more than that! read more

Excellent shop! The owner is full of knowledge, and just listening to him speak I knew I was in good hands. I purchased a 94 civic and they key was so worn (the only one given to me) that I couldn't start the car anymore. I provided the VIN # and a flawlessly working key was remanufactured. A week later I returned to have two more keys made for the car because I was so pleased with the work! They even have emergency services where they store the key information in case you lose a key or damage one! I highly recxomend B & B's Lock Technicians!! read more
