As a crunchy mom, I don't know who would want dye in it anyway. I'm very disappointed in the service and the lack of transparency. She did not offer a refund after compromising my placenta, which felt very unprofessional. She delivered the capsules to my house while I was only a few days postpartum and didn't want visitors. I told her to leave them at the door, but she told my husband she wanted to see me to give directions--directions she ended up reading directly off a printed sheet. She was not my doula or on my birth team, just someone hired specifically to encapsulate my placenta, so it felt unnecessary and intrusive for her to insist on coming in. A few minutes later, someone knocked on our door. Again, I was days postpartum and considered my space sacred. It turned out to be her boyfriend asking to come inside to wait for her. He stood in our living room until she finally left. It was extremely uncomfortable and awkward. I would not recommend!!!

I was wrong and I learned so much from this experience. The knowledge shared with my husband and I helped us make informed choices for our child and family (what we could ask for and say no to). I learned birthing techniques that would later be necessary for me to use when I gave birth naturally (kind of unplanned). I was given access to equipment to use that I didn't know I would want/need (Thank you Lord for TENS units!). The experience from start to finish was excellent and I plan to have a doula for any future pregnancies/deliveries I may have. I will also always encourage my family and friends to have one too! It was the best decision we made for us and our baby. This was my first home birth experience. As a patient I should be able to ask questions, express fears, in hopes to gain knowledge and reassurance back from my midwife. A few days later, I get a call from them saying they can no longer see me and think a hospital birth would be more fitting. Mind you, I am 31 weeks pregnant. Healthy pregnancy, no reason for a hospital birth. All I did was ask what they do in an instance of a mother bleeding too much, or tearing ect. They not only pocketed $1600 from me, but dropped me high and dry so late into my pregnancy because I asked what do they do in a "what if" instance were to happen. As mothers, and going the unmedicated home birth route, or even a birthing center route, we should be allowed and welcomed to talk about these types of things with our midwife. I am absolutely shocked from the care we have received from them and how we were so poorly managed. They claim they're a faith based Christian center, but I see no grace, compassion, or anything Christian about how we were handled. Mothers, please find somewhere else. Would hate for you to express or even ask a simple question and they take your money and drop you.

I definitely recommend this school for the DPS road test! They are friendly and fair here. My son…read moretook his test here and passed first try. I will have my daughter come here as well when it is time for her test. The only negative I would say here is that the appointments on line are not really needed or used. I would recommend calling a couple of days before your test and just verify if they are available. He will let you know if that day works and then you just show up between business hours. The only problem with this is you may have to wait 30 minutes or so (as we did) because we had to wait for a driving class the was just ending. Otherwise great school and will be back!
