I can't say enough about the quality of care I received from Meredith and her team. It was all I could hope for and more! My appointments were informative and I never had to wait too long. Everyone was welcoming & the process for paperwork was easy for my husband and I. My birth experience was redemptive since I had a traumatic c section for my first but also had a vbac for my second child. So that's what made me a good candidate to have a birthing center birth for my 3rd and I'm so thankful everything went well! Thank you so much for these memories I'll always cherish.

However, my wife had looked into it thoroughly and I trusted her intuition and research. Our experience with our midwife Meredith Braudaway was amazing. She counseled us through the ups and downs of my wife's pregnancy and was very responsive to her needs, and paid careful attention to her medical needs. Our birth experience was so incredible compared to the hospital, with no drugs or medical intervention my wife gave birth to our baby girl with such grace and ease and we were home within a few hours, so much less stressful. I was in shock from how quick the delivery was when she was allowed to birth naturally. We are super grateful for this experience and the amazing team at Birth & Wellness.

I've been blessed to have Paige in my pregnancies on multiple aspects…read more As a pregnancy/birth educator - As someone who's been through labor before, I learned many new things; updated techniques, practical coping tools, and fresh perspectives in a pregnancy/labor class Paige taught back in 2022 when I was pregnant with my third baby. Paige has such a calm, reassuring presence and a genuine passion for empowering moms at every stage. She respected my prior experience while still giving me space to ask questions and refresh my knowledge in a really supportive way. As a loss support - I cannot fully put into words how grateful I am for the love and support I received during one of the most difficult seasons of my life....but here I'll try! Walking through pregnancy loss multiple times, which is an unimaginable kind of pain, but having a Paige who showed up with such compassion, gentleness, and unwavering faith made all the difference. From the very beginning, Paige created a space where I felt seen, heard, and deeply cared for. She didn't try to rush my grief or offer empty words...she simply walked beside me, offering comfort, prayer, and encouragement exactly when I needed it most. Her presence was calming, her words were thoughtful, and her heart for serving others was so evident in every interaction. What meant the most to me was how she gently incorporated Christian faith into her support. Paige reminded me of God's love even in the darkest moments, prayed over me, and helped me find small pieces of peace when everything felt overwhelming. Her faith wasn't forced, it was lived out through kindness, patience, and genuine care. In Birth - We spent hours as she went over our options for every stage of labor, and make decisions with confidence. During labor, her presence was comforting. She fixed cooling rags, offered pressure where needed, helped me move when I couldn't, whispered positively to recenter me. Paige knew exactly when to step in with encouragement, and when to simply be there supporting us. What truly set her apart was her kindness and genuine care. She supported not just me, but my fiancé as well & giving him space to lead. Because of her, our birth experience was filled with love, strength, and support. We will always be thankful for the role she played in bringing our baby into the world. In Postpartum - I truly don't know how I would have gotten through those early postpartum days without her. Having her support in our home was such a gift during a time that can feel overwhelming, exhausting, and emotional all at once. Paige stepped in with such care and attentiveness, helping with meals, laundry, keeping up with dishes, and making sure our home felt just a little more manageable. But what meant even more was how she cared for me. She would hold baby so I could take a moment to eat meals, breathe, and simply exist without feeling rushed or guilty. She also created a safe space for me to talk and process everything I was feeling. Whether I needed to vent, ask questions, or just be heard, she met me with kindness, encouragement, and zero judgment. Her words and presence lifted me up on the hard days and reminded me that I was doing better than I felt. If you are looking for someone who will support you not only physically and emotionally & also spiritually (when you wish), I cannot recommend her enough. She is truly a blessing!!!

I did not have a doula present at my first 2 births and now comparing those experiences to my third birth of having a doula with me I can not really express in words the difference that it made to me and my spouse. Paige knew many times during labor exactly what I needed her to do without me having to ask and how to communicate that with others present and help them be involved and helpful as well. Also, any requests that came to mind that I asked her to do, I felt heard and she made it happen. Paige brings a calming, supportive, validated, loving and God-centered atmosphere with her wherever she goes and these are definitely qualities I wanted at my birth. I know this may not be true for every doula but Paige was exactly what I did not know that I needed and would not do without if I give birth again . If you recognize the importance of a doula for your birth space, which like I said I did not even realize until I experienced it for myself , I highly HIGHLY recommend her and the services she offers .

She was always one step ahead of me as I transitioned into being a mom for the first time. She made sure I was fed, comfortable, and ahead of dealing with the pain that I was in since I had to have some repairs done. I was told I needed to take baths, and she made sure the tub was cleaned and ready for me before I needed, as well as ensuring I had enough pads, and cold pads made, and running errands for my new little family and I. Keyana is very reliable and punctual. If she tells you something will be done, she makes sure that it is done no matter the cost. While serving as a doula, there was never a time Keyana was late. The way Keyana interacted with my newborn after his birth was very natural and you could tell she had a genuine concern for me and my son. My favorite part of how she interacted with him was her patience, caring, and gentle nature. This is my first child so I was very cautious about who watched my child, but I was at ease with Keyana. Keyana takes pride in her work and takes it very seriously. She always maintains her professionalism in all situations. She is very detailed and really gets to know her clients to ensure a peaceful, personalized experience. Even though she does not have children of her own, she understands the thoughts and concerns of mothers. She sends text updates to make sure your mind is at ease while your child's is in her care. Keyana is VERY knowledgeable about almost all aspects of birth and babies. And if in the seldom event she doesn't have an answer for you, she will research the topic and get back to you within the same day in most cases. Most importantly her love for Christ and serving spirit aided in her making sure that my wishes for my birthing experience came true without question. She made me feel supported and coached me to having the natural Water birth I had always imagined. I would definitely recommend beautifully created birth services to any expecting mom or couple!

She communicated with my wife, met with us a couple times at our house, and provided plenty of information and help. And then when the day arrived, she was there before we even arrived around 8:30am and cared for my wife and our family until over an hour after he was born, close to midnight, when she made sure he properly latched and began feeding. She used many positions and techniques to relieve pain, to help the process, and to ease our worries. When I couldn't be holding my wife's hand, Abbey was. When we didn't know something or needed something, she found out or asked for us. We felt cared for, taken care of, and blessed by her. We didn't take any birthing classes, just watched and read a lot beforehand. But I'm so thankful that we invested in Abbey's care and expertise. For my anxious wife and her inadequate husband, Abbey was exactly what we needed on one of the biggest days of our life.

I gave birth for the first time through Family Birth Services. I was talking to a good friend about…read moremy concerns with hospitals in general and with my delivery expected to be in August, COVID made the idea of giving birth in a hospital even worse. My friend recommended I watch the documentary with Ricky Lake ( The Business of Being Born) to get more insight of what typically happens when giving birth via the hospital route and that lead me to decide to go the natural route like she did with her 4 children. She recommended I go through Family Birth Services like she did and that was the beat choice I could've made. Betty, who works in the office, was so pleasant and instantly gave warmth and comfort when I called to inquire more about how things worked. She was patient and friendly and seemed to care as if she'd already known me. At this point, I was still undecided on whether to go natural or continue with my hospital visits and upon returning to the next hospital check up visit, the feeling of being treated as a "patient" or treated as just another pregnant lady with a check up was overwhelming. My doctor was in (what I thought) was a clean hospital and my delivery was supposed to be at Medical City Hospital. I was looking for a final sign on what direction to go with the delivery and when I took my urine sample at the last doctor's office visit, I was disgusted because I - once again- had to place my urine in the small window next to the urine samples of other pregnant women whose samples had not be removed from the window yet. Needless to say, I left that appointment and asked the check out to send my records to Family Birth Services. My midwifes were Esther and April and they were a gem!! They were just as pleasant as my initial phone call to the birth center and they made me feel like they cared about me and my unborn baby like I did. This proved to be the same during the delivery and post giving birth. They both came with gloves and masks and all the safe materials needed when the day came for my baby girl to arrive. Ester made sure to check in on me and give advice on things to help with issues like painful breastfeeding and etc and April was just as knowledgable about information when I asked her. I'm beyond grateful to have listened to my friend's recommendation because a natural birth proved to be the best route that I could've gone as it relates to the treatment, cost, the lack of wear and tear on my body that would've happened under a hospital's supervision, and my overall birthing experience. I would most definitely recommend any woman looking for proper treatment for herself and her baby to use them!

I initially was very against it since this seems so dangerous and outdated but it was a pleasant experience. I convinced my wife to see a regular doctor at first and it was nothing but mistakes and people pointing fingers at each other in the office. Such a contrast with April and our student Esther. Every question answered and helpful from start to finish. Very organized and informative. I learned a lot in the classes held at the midwives location. Just the amount of support we had alone from the midwives was well worth it. We would definitely go this route again should it come to pass. There's no substitute for a mom delivering comfortably at home and these girls made that possible.
