Out of the blue, they dropped us from their care at 7 months pregnant. Gave us a list of other providers and sent us on our way. Problem is many providers either don't take in new patients at this stage of pregnancy or don't prorate. Their reasoning was because my wife expressed some fears and asked questions to try to get some reassurance.. That's it. They pocket ~$1,600 for 2 visits and we're left trying to find someone else to help us. Be careful with expressing your fears, if you don't want to lose money.

I expressed concerns, in hopes to gain knowledge from my birth team but never received that. Instead, they dropped me as a client at 30 weeks pregnant. I have no concerning medical history whatsoever. A healthy pregnancy, blood work, clinical reports, healthy baby. There was nothing to warrant them to drop me as a client as 30 weeks pregnant like they did. From my experience and the care I received I would not recommend this place to another mama who is wanting to seek a natural birth approach.

It was the best decision we made for us and our baby. My labor and delivery ended up being the total opposite of what we had wanted/planned and Kaitlyn was the absolute best coach and comfort during the whole experience. Not only did she educate us on what to expect, but she made us feel confident as decision makers and parents - before our girl was even here! My birth experience was intense and I cannot imagine going through it without Kaitlyn by my side. There truly isn't a better advocate for mom and baby than a doula. We learned that the hospital and staff (while they were great) just aren't as invested in you as a family. Kaitlyn helped us see a tongue tie issuse as well which after we got corrected literally changed our breastfeeding experience when it was looking impossible. Kaitlyn will always be a special part of our family story. Doulas are so gifted and magical and you will never regret having one - especially Kaitlyn if you're lucky to have her! We love you Kaitlyn!!!

We hired Katie as our doula and unfortunately, although she was supposed to be on call for us starting at 36 weeks, when I actually went into labor (past my due date), she did not answer her phone. We tried repeatedly to contact her via text and phone for over 3 hours. At that point, she finally answered her phone and we asked her to come out to assist us. She said she would be there in about an hour but didn't show up until 2 hours later with no text or call to let us know she was running behind. She missed the entirety of our labor and the birth of our child, thoroughly defeating the purpose of having a birth doula. To her credit, she did provide a partial refund for the services she did not provide, but we felt that the refund should have been in full since she didn't provide the services we had agreed upon. I made several attempts to reach out to her regarding my dissatisfaction but she refused to respond to me. Overall, we were incredibly disappointed by this experience and we would not be able to recommend Katie to anyone. This might have been a one off goof on her part, but I would have expected her to make more an effort to fix things on the back end. After all, everyone makes mistakes, and if it had been my mistake and I was supposed to be on call and didn't hold up my end of the bargain, I would have been mortified enough to provide a full refund to my disappointed customer.

As a crunchy mom, I don't know who would want dye in it anyway. I'm very disappointed in the service and the lack of transparency. She did not offer a refund after compromising my placenta, which felt very unprofessional. She delivered the capsules to my house while I was only a few days postpartum and didn't want visitors. I told her to leave them at the door, but she told my husband she wanted to see me to give directions--directions she ended up reading directly off a printed sheet. She was not my doula or on my birth team, just someone hired specifically to encapsulate my placenta, so it felt unnecessary and intrusive for her to insist on coming in. A few minutes later, someone knocked on our door. Again, I was days postpartum and considered my space sacred. It turned out to be her boyfriend asking to come inside to wait for her. He stood in our living room until she finally left. It was extremely uncomfortable and awkward. I would not recommend!!!

I was wrong and I learned so much from this experience. The knowledge shared with my husband and I helped us make informed choices for our child and family (what we could ask for and say no to). I learned birthing techniques that would later be necessary for me to use when I gave birth naturally (kind of unplanned). I was given access to equipment to use that I didn't know I would want/need (Thank you Lord for TENS units!). The experience from start to finish was excellent and I plan to have a doula for any future pregnancies/deliveries I may have. I will also always encourage my family and friends to have one too! I am forever thankful to Dominique for the knowledge, support, and love she showed our family. She also got amazing photos of our baby's first moments with us. It's truly amazing to look back on. If you have ever even slightly thought about working with a doula...DO IT! You will not regret it!

I was initially introduced to her through a friend, but I strongly believe God also aligned us in perfect harmony. We began our journey with a great consultation. Then, there were home visits where Ebon'Nae thoroughly explained the birthing process to my husband and me -- patiently answering any and all questions we had. She also took time to come to an important midwife appointment with me where we discussed my desired birth plan. Throughout my experience, Ebon'Nae offered everything from tools and advice to prayers which really helped me to move through my pregnancy with a sense of ease leading up to the birth. For the actual birth, she was right there by my side physically and mentally coaching me through every moment while going the extra mile to visually capture some of the best moments as well. With this being my first pregnancy, as one would imagine, there were a lot of unknowns to explore, and having such a knowledgeable and supportive doula like Ebon'Nae, I felt seen and safe. While she always kept things very professional, she also felt like family -- and I feel so blessed to have gained the opportunity to work with her. She's truly called to do this work, and words alone can't describe her amazing service. If you're looking for an amazing doula or to train to become one, I send my highest praises and recommendation to "glow" with Ebon'Nae.
