We have a beautiful absolutely perfect son but I truly now cherish the journey bc it has changed me, changed me as a mom, changed our relationship. We tried again & had a ectopic pregnancy which just added to the journey. I now don't see it negatively. You would never feel this level of comfort and love at a hospital, and to be honest, the fact that they empower you to truly do what you believe is best for your child without the guilt trip is really what did it for me. Cheryl cared about me as a whole person, I never felt rushed (most appointments were 30-60 minutes). I had to bring older siblings to most appointments and she made sure that they were included. I really appreciate that my midwife and the birth center didn't have lists of routine interventions. I was allowed to make my own decisions about my care and what tests/interventions I wanted to have. I had a peaceful and amazing water birth at the birth center. Even if I had needed to transfer, it would have been worth the money just to have my midwife's support in the hospital. I cannot recommend Gentle Beginnings more highly.
