I hear great things about this office.. if you can get an appointment. I've been playing phone tag with them for awhile now and finally got through to their office to make a new patient appointment, only for them to tell me that the person that makes new patient appointments works remotely so they can't help me. They transferred me but the call just ended after the transfer. Maybe they should get someone new to make appointments for them if they want new clientele, because the person that works remotely doesn't answer anytime I try to call during business hours. read more

Dr. Featherston has been our boy's primary care for 8 years. she is the best. she takes her time with us, answers questions, makes sure we understand what is happening, what our options are and works with us to come up with a plan. I'm so thankful for this office. the staff is friendly and helps get us in when we need to be seen! they have gotten us back paperwork for the school quickly. overall great experience, I'm so glad we have this office! read more

Very parental choice friendly but offers all options. I've been going here since my now 3 year old was a newborn and now I have another baby. I honestly don't run to the pediatrician for everything and I don't need someone to be overly friendly to me. I just want to get in and get out, so I think that's why this place works for me. The last 3 times I visited this practice we were seen on the same day that I called in. This office is extremely accommodating. We have been coming here well over a year now, and I stand by them. The staff is always professional and kind and such an inviting atmosphere. I have called in many times for advice, and never once did anyone instruct me to give my daughter over the counter medicine for a serious concern nor have I ever been told to wait a couple days before coming in. But I am also kind and respectful when I call. No matter what profession you are in, people are not apt to help you if you are rude. At one point the front office had a sign that stated people can leave if they were going to be rude. I didn't care for the sign, but clearly they have a reoccurring issue with some of the patients being unkind otherwise they wouldn't have put that sign up there.. read more

My daughter got her vaccination and I received no paperwork on the possible side effects. I had both my daughters with me and was distracted when I called to ask about that I was told that I'm responsible for looking through the drawers to find them myself and was hung up on. I called back the next day my daughter was having bloody stool and was very fussy. I asked if this was a possible side effect of the vaccine could I bring her in. I was told no they didn't have any sick visits available to take her to the hospital. I never took my daughters back after that. read more

Be sure to take your kids to other specialists or they'll misdiagnose asthma for months & they'll also get upset with you that you don't know how to read results and question why you didn't look at them, meanwhile your kid has pneumonia and they never called to tell you, oh and then drop you as a patient because supposedly they had you scheduled 4 times and when you call to reschedule and they're closed it's YOUR fault for not getting ahold of them their staff will hang up on you while youre talking to them as well. they're extremely unprofessional and i would never recommend them to anyone. the only good doctor they had obviously caught on to them and went to a different place. I asked around for a referral to a doctor that would be open to discussing vaccines instead of just injecting them and was referred to Dr Featherstone. She has been very open and accommodating- there is no pressure either way for choosing vaccines or not. We never have to wait long. What a breath of fresh air! My whole life of going to doctors, as well as my entire sons life so far of seeing pediatricians we have felt pressured into things, unheard, and dismissed for any concern we brought up. This place is the opposite. They are very upfront about how there's no pressure to do anything you don't want to do, and how every medical decision you make for your child is YOURS. The nurse practitioner was extremely informative and educated. Very poor customer/consumer service. Our appointment was scheduled for 8 AM. We showed up at 7:50 AM and we were not called and put in to a room until 8:40 AM. The visit was for two vaccines that took maybe all of two minutes to administer. The staff is not punctual and do not show any remorse for you if they are running very behind. I understand there is usually a wait time when going to the doctor, however if I am there right when you open and my appointment is scheduled first thing in the morning I would expect to wait no more than 5 to 10 minutes after checking in. We have taken our kids, two girls, here for four years now and it has clearly gone downhill in customer service and care. Not very excited because now I am going to search for another provider for my two little ones. read more

My daughter saw Dr Featherston for about a year before I transferred her care to a FNP. Dr Featherston,also a NP,listens to parents and is parent choice for vaccines.Wait time is relatively short. They no longer take Medicaid which I was hoping to re establish care for her under her CCHP plan.CCHP refers to Cook Children's Star Kids Medicaid and Featherston was listed as still taking on new patients but apparently they don't because I called and asked to re establish care with her but they no longer take Medicaid. Unless you have other insurance you'll need to seek out other NPs,MDs,DO, who are accepting Medicaid and are parent choice. I just went down the insurance list that was downloadable and starting calling drs. I found one who I will write a review on after we've seen her a. few times. read more

My family loves coming here! Dr. Featherstone has been great at fitting us in when sick and we appreciate how she supports our choices on medical decisions for our children. My kids enjoy going which means so much to me. I have read the bad reviews and everyone is entitled to their opinion but some of these like blaming Featherstone for a visit to quest is ridiculous seeing how most insurance policies require quest for bloodwork. And I love that she is freedom to chose and kicks out mean people as we all know there is too many of them nowadays. I would go meet her and give her a chance as she truly is one of the good doctors in the world! read more

Used to love this practice when we used to see Donna and another NP that left. Elishia is knowledgable but unfortunately can be rude and assuming. My daughter had a hernia which we called an outie and she felt the need to correct me and say its an umbilical hernia. Literally since I also have one and my other kids have one of course I know the proper med term. Not to mention, I also went to nursing school none of what she has ever told me was complex or confusing. In addition to this, my twins were diagnosed failure to thrive even though ALL of their tests were normal from every specialist she sent us to. They were all confused why she diagnosed them with it!!! They are now in the 67th percentiles. My babies are scarred with that on their chart now and I hate it I refused to go back after that. Im traumatized from the whole experience to this day. Our older daughter was smaller than them and Donna was NEVER concerned. No other doctors either! Our kids always met milestones ahead of schedule too. Also, they are rude towards stay at home mothers here. Constantly saying the kids dont get out the house enough. Who said that? I take them to be around other kids every day, they dont need to be away from me 8-10 hours like other kids to be socialized. I still recommend this place to other mothers who want vax flexibility but it is no longer the place for my family. And I agree the front staff is never pleasant.We switched to Natural Choice ped and that is who I always rec first and foremost. read more

you meet the owner Elisha in the first visit and she puts you at ease.. and then you'll never see her again and deal w it h her staff. I'm sure they're wonderful people, but after asking the same question for the past 6-12 months(my daughter is 18mo) it took a new nurse to explain why my daughter was on a different vaccine plan than was discussed on my initial visit. needless to say, I feel duped and will be looking for new pediatric care. read more

Easy to schedule an appointment,friendly drs and nurses,great office staff and communication, and supports parent choice when it comes to controversial issues. Referrals are written based on who she's comfortable with not necessarily who the parents want their child to see. Short wait times as well. She takes Zoloft and I have been having to take her to assorted psychiatrists, never able to find one that is a good fit her for. We were referred to Dr. Featherstone for a practice supporting parental choice, but in our experience that just meant signing forms and short, not very warm check-ups where she read a chart and had her front desk tally a 3 page "milestones" check sheet. The billing department was particularly frustrating as we had good insurance and I specifically stated we wanted to confirm coverage before appointments. They scheduled two annual (as in one year) check ups 6 months apart, then left me with the bill. I called to have this oversight on their part looked into, and I had to call back twice, then was told to call their billing department directly, then had to follow up for two weeks, only to be told I would then have to speak with the office directly (all in all over a month of back and forth). I personally would not recommend this practice. We're looking for a NP that doesn't just look at a computer and checklist, has a positive and warm relationship with their patients, and is supportive of parents' informed choices. read more

This place is a joke. I gave them 3 chances. First, my daughter had the flu and when I called to make an appointment, they told me I had to wait two days before coming in, which put us where I could not give my child medicine for the flu. Not sure why they made me wait two days maybe stupidity. Second, for my daughters one year they sent us to the quest diagnostics for blood work. Which usually in my experience is a finger prick. Well, the lady at quest had horrible bed side manner and we took our daughter and ran out of there. Third and final straw, I called to make an appointment for my son, I knew he had strep, they told me to give him Benadryl and wait two days. Really?!? Benadryl for strep throat, that takes antibiotics not Benadryl. I'm not a doctor and I know this. I will never take my children back to this place again. Please be careful and don't let the front office ladies try to tell you what to do. read more
