We had such an amazing experience at the beautiful and welcoming Frisco Birth Center for both births and formed a truly special relationship with Margie that will never be forgotten. Margie is an incredibly kind, gentle, supportive, knowledgeable, and professional midwife who genuinely cares about her clients in a way that is rare in any medical setting. Throughout pregnancy, she promptly answered any questions or concerns that arose, even making herself available between visits as needed, despite her busy schedule. Our older children came with me to prenatal appointments and they adore her as much as we do! She took the time to teach them and let them get involved in finding baby's heartbeat and position, which helped them get so excited to meet their new sibling. Leading up to the birth, we had some unusual findings in one of the blood samples that were run, and she put in extra time and effort to help us find the answers we needed to feel confident in our birth plan. There was also a risk of hemorrhage, but she wisely helped us weigh all of our options before, during, and after the birth so that we could have the safe and beautiful delivery we hoped for. Margie and her assistant midwife, Neta (who is also wonderful), accurately assessed the health of both mom and baby and responded quickly and professionally to any concerns that arose, including a very fast transition and delivery and maternal bleeding. We felt completely safe and empowered throughout the entire process because of Margie's clinical skill and compassionate demeanor. Birth can be unpredictable, and we felt well-informed and supported through every decision. After the birth, her standard of excellence continued, as she made multiple home visits to check on mom and baby and helped empower us make the decisions about his health we were uncertain. For my second birth I gave birth at Allen Birthing Center which was fantastic! This third time around, I decided to do several interviews of midwives in the area. I felt an instant connection to Margie and I knew that I wanted to go with her. I was having some financial issues at the time but she allowed me to make a payment plan and get a substantial discount. She really does care about people and want to help in any way possible. If you have formerly received obstetric care, I think you'll find that out-of-hospital midwifery care is a night and day opposite experience. Obstetrics focuses mostly on the baby and is very fear-based. Margie is very holistic in her methods and believes in the woman's body's capability to birth. She knows that the mother's emotional state is just as important as what is going on with her physically. Through our appointments I let her know my goals for my birth, including my desire to birth in an upright position. She made sure that all of my wishes were respected and I obtained the ultimate birth experience that I desired! I am forever grateful for her and consider her a friend. She not only has provided me with education with every issue I faced, but also allowed me to make decisions based on a full understanding of all of my options. She's not just an OBGYN, she's a caring provider who wants to look at the patient as a whole. She treats you with respect. Rarely I find a DR that truly listens when a patient is telling them what is going on. Dr Walsh does. It means a lot to have a DR validate what you're experiencing and give you answers as to why you're experiencing it. This is who she is. If you're experiencing due to stress, she'll tell you, but if it's something that needs to be examined, you better bet she'll examine it. I can't say enough good things.

She connects with you and truly cares about you. I feel like she's part of my family now. I will always go to her and recommend her. You can always count on her giving you her best ! I wish more people were like her in this world . She had a lot of concerns through my pregnancy , It wasn't easy. To begin with... There was scares with my blood labs which ended up fine after doing an amniocentesis test. Shortly after , at 18 weeks Dr Walsh found that my cervix weakened due to a Leap Procedure I had done for cancer cells. Dr. Walsh did a Cerclage on me and unfortunately I was then put on strict bedrest. Going to our weekly sonograms, we went through many scares. One was so bad.. My cervix shortened so much that I was put into hospital for a week. When I was 35 weeks and 3 days pregnant, I find out that it is about to be the most important day of my life... Dr Walsh told me I needed an emergency c-section due to a calcifying placenta ... I asked her "Can we do it tomorrow, so I can register this? I'm not ready to be a mom today." She responded so perfectly." You have been a mom this whole time. She made it this far because of you!" - And here we are! Because of us..all of us. Info for their next patients:…read more Need to share this after I finally talked to the doctor (Gupta) and the nurse practitioner (Mahnaz) today a week after the miscarriage. 1) I signed up for the OB I chose (Gupta). But Gupta told me she wasn't involved in any data checking or appointment decision making until I went to ER. She said it was all on the nurse practitioner. - What?! Why?! She said it was strange I was scheduled at week 11. It's usually week 8. - Whose responsibility?! Who's bearing the consequences? I asked her how I know if there was ever a fetal pole or not, she said "ya we don't know." 2) the nurse practitioner, Mahnaz, just kept telling me even an earlier sonogram wouldn't make any change to the result. - what about the data for me to know what actually happened? And she just did what every OB would do. - without asking her OB? She told me she didn't know I tried to make an earlier appointment. It was all the front desk girl. - Seriously?! At the end, she just told me "I need to go to see my patient. You can talk to the office manager because you and I are not getting anywhere!" Next thing I knew, she slammed the door and left me in the room by myself. - What a jerk! It hurts like so many bad words. I'm surprised she does this for living. She should be fired. 3) If you want to get their attention, consider to share your experience here, they will call you right away. ---- Worst experience! No matter how much I told the NP, Mahnaz, after I signed up to Gupta about my advanced age and my last miscarriage which was within a year, the NP just gave me very broad info intake and 2 blood work in week 5. I had to be the one to request for blood work in week 6 when I saw my HCG wasn't doubling. No more blood work scheduled till the miscarriage. My first sonogram was scheduled at week 11. - Ridiculous! I called and requested a few times to have an earlier sonogram. I was told the Dr said it's not necessary!!! I feel very dismissed from this place on me or whatever risk I am going through. One star bc there's no zero star option. Just know that all the negative reviews here and on Google are not coincidence.
