I got to give birth in the water like I wanted without any issues, interventions, or complications. I even pulled my baby boy out all by myself!! It was as close to unassisted as possible. I was very happy with my choice to have Kristi by my side in case I needed any assistance. She didn't take my insurance but even my out of pocket cost was extremely fair. I was so happy I could find a midwife Like Kristi so far along in my pregnancy!

The risks and the benefits; everything! It's rare for me to find a medical professional who can be honest, competent, AND pleasant to work with but Kristy is all three. She knows her stuff and i felt completely at ease with her attending my home birth. I love that she keeps up with the latest research instead of using decade old information like some obgyns. I had a traumatic first birth with murky information and so was extra anxious about certain risk factors but Kristy guided me through the whole thing. With her guidance and support I had a quick, unmedicated, and manageable labor this time and gave birth to a healthy baby girl within the comfort of my home! She also clearly loves babies and kids. I interviewed another midwife and what made me pick Kristy was her full support of me having my toddler present at the birth. He ended up not wanting to be in the room but I loved that she was on board with him being there. The other midwife wasn't too thrilled with that idea. Kristy was extremely easy to reach any time i had any questions. I was sick at some point during the pregnancy and she fully encouraged me to call her day or night. She gave me so much emotional support throughout the whole ordeal and throughout my entire pregnancy. She's simply amazing. Use Kristy, you won't regret it!

Signed in and was waiting in the empty lobby for 45 minutes. I then was brought back to the room and waited 30 minutes or more after the nurse did her work up. I was not checked in on once or told how much longer the wait would be. Dr. Boyd comes in and sits down in the chair across from me. She then wanted to review my medical history. It was completely inaccurate. I had spent 25 minutes writing down my detailed family history prior to my appointment as required and she was repeating it incorrectly. I then corrected her politely and she "fixed it." She then said I was here for my hormone evaluation panel and I agreed and she just ordered the labs. She did not ONCE examine me or take a look at the areas I was concerned about (even tho that was why I was there). I was told they do not do labs in office and had to obtain them and return in a month to review the results (which is fine). I was then checked out. About 2 weeks later I received the EOB from my insurance and she billed a moderate visit that cost my insurance $600 dollars and I had to pay $175. I went to look at my chart summary and the medical history was STILL wrong after Dr. Boyd "fixed it" in the exam room with me. She had completely incorrect diagnosis of cancer for my family and had random diagnoses for my father (that I did not report and he does not have). My occupation was also wrong (despite filling it in myself online as instructed beforehand like the rest of the paperwork). I have never given a provider a poor review before but the lack of detail and absolutely NO physical exam by her was not ok. I am seeing another OBGYN next week who I hope cares more than Dr. Boyd. Please go see another provider and avoid this practice. I paid my fee but I will not be returning.

I have since moved back and attempted to make an appointment with her as she was my previous OB and I was still a CURRENT PATIENT for GYN. However they (MELISSA) refused to schedule me an appointment because I'm over 15 weeks pregnant. I have my full medical record from my out of state provider and when asked what my options were she said that I needed to call my old out of state provider and go back there (ITS OUT OF STATE I CANNOT GO BACK THERE???) and was told that if I came in for my annual Pap - this was scheduled for a month out that I would be turned away for not just that appointment because I am pregnant but ANY APPOINTMENT. As a current patient and a previous OB patient, I just don't see how an office that should advocate for helping pregnant women turns away PREGNANT WOMEN. Especially their own patients.

As a busy professional, I strongly value when appointments run on time - they almost always do at Northlake. The team supports you every step of the way. In the delivery room itself, Dr. Dobi guided and comforted me making the labor and delivery journey as pleasant as possible. I've been getting my birth control prescribed from this place for 2 years. I am 19 years old and every time I have been to this place, I have not been treated well, and the staff does not communicate well at all. THEY FORCED ME TO GET A PAP SMEAR. I went in for my regular check up a few months ago to get a renewal on my birth control prescription. That was the only thing I scheduled my appointment for. I come in, they told me I had to get a "wellness check," in order to get my prescription. I told them that was fine, but that I did NOT want a pap smear because I hadn't been sexually active for over a year. My mom also coached me to tell them "no" if they wanted me to do a pap smear (but I was alone at the appointment). I told the nurse I didn't want to do a pap smear, and that my mom didn't want them to do that to me either. Well she tells me, "That's fine, we can cancel your appointment right now." Mind you, I'm already in my appointment, I've changed into the gown, she's like inspected my breasts and stuff already. I'll never forget how horrible and uncomfortable I felt when I knew that in order to get my birth control prescription that I came here for, I was going to have to have a metal device stuck up my vagina. According to the CDC website, Planned Parenthood website, and every single person and website i can find: YOU DON'T NEED A PAP SMEAR UNTIL YOU ARE 21! (unless there are extenuating circumstances). I have no STDS, unusual discharge or anything abnormal going on in my vagina. They knew this, and still forced me to go through an incredibly exposing and uncomfortable experience. I've never had a fear toward any doctors or nurses. I always trust them. But after this experience, I'm now leaving this review because months later I am still shocked and upset that they made me feel like I had to go through that. I always thought that if I had a female nurse, she is someone I can trust, be respected, and communicate with. Clearly not. I won't be coming back here and neither will my mom. This is not the OBGYN to feel safe and supported by other women.

Being pregnant for the first time was scary, so many questions, so many signs and symptoms and not knowing which ones are concerning or not. Jessica sent me over videos to help with my pain (I had major back and hip pains during pregnancy). I can only imagine what she would of been like if she was my doula!

I would give no stars, if I could!! Dr Halderman performed an open myomectomy on me based on…read morerecords that were almost a year old. I was my own advocate telling her and her office that I was extremely anemic, as well as had a polyp in my uterus that needed to be removed. This I had discovered by seeing another physician whom I was considering to have the fibroids removed laparoscopically. I decided to stick with Dr Halderman, because she could perform the surgery before my insurance lapsed. After my surgery I asked the Dr if the polyp was removed, because I didn't see it on the pathology report. She said that there wasn't anything there! After going in for my post op follow up, they discovered they the polyp was in fact there. What kind of place is this? How can they perform any type of procedure without seeing the state of things prior to surgery. They never documented it. They also denied that I ever conveyed this to them and went ahead with my surgery. Fibroids that were there were removed, but not the polyp. Now they want to perform another procedure to remove it. The costs involved now falls on my shoulders! I should have known better when they called me the day before my surgery to go in for a blood transfusion for my anemia.
