Dr Bailey is AMAZING!!! The front of desk representatives are unbelievably amazing. Anything to the back of the house real eyes to the nurses and the NP I encountered they were grotesquely disgusting with rudeness. I have no other words but to say I tried to stay with Dr. Bailey because of her professionalism but this fourth encounter of being at least 35minutes late to an appointment and not even an iota of concern (or and apology) due to the time is sad. Moreover, the NP clearly offered me two medical procedures and did not even pay attention to my age or read my chart. I have that witnessed even though the NP attempted to write my chart up as a future medical (mind you 7 years from now). Dr. Bailey thank you for taking care of ME. I truly do not believe your staff recognizes their lack of emotional intelligence portrayed. read more

TLDR: THEY FORCED ME TO GET A PAP SMEAR AT 19 YEARS OLD! This place does not care about the consent of their patients. I've been getting my birth control prescribed from this place for 2 years. I am 19 years old and every time I have been to this place, I have not been treated well, and the staff does not communicate well at all. THEY FORCED ME TO GET A PAP SMEAR. I went in for my regular check up a few months ago to get a renewal on my birth control prescription. That was the only thing I scheduled my appointment for. I come in, they told me I had to get a "wellness check," in order to get my prescription. I told them that was fine, but that I did NOT want a pap smear because I hadn't been sexually active for over a year. My mom also coached me to tell them "no" if they wanted me to do a pap smear (but I was alone at the appointment). I told the nurse I didn't want to do a pap smear, and that my mom didn't want them to do that to me either. Well she tells me, "That's fine, we can cancel your appointment right now." Mind you, I'm already in my appointment, I've changed into the gown, she's like inspected my breasts and stuff already. I'll never forget how horrible and uncomfortable I felt when I knew that in order to get my birth control prescription that I came here for, I was going to have to have a metal device stuck up my vagina. According to the CDC website, Planned Parenthood website, and every single person and website i can find: YOU DON'T NEED A PAP SMEAR UNTIL YOU ARE 21! (unless there are extenuating circumstances). I have no STDS, unusual discharge or anything abnormal going on in my vagina. They knew this, and still forced me to go through an incredibly exposing and uncomfortable experience. I've never had a fear toward any doctors or nurses. I always trust them. But after this experience, I'm now leaving this review because months later I am still shocked and upset that they made me feel like I had to go through that. I always thought that if I had a female nurse, she is someone I can trust, be respected, and communicate with. Clearly not. I won't be coming back here and neither will my mom. Dr. Bailey and her team are the most compassionate and skilled in the field. They did a fabulous job delivering my daughter. Recently I experienced a missed miscarriage, and there was no hesitation or delay in care. They explained my options clearly and answered all my questions, which helped me feel comfortable making the right choice for me and my family. Dr. Bailey is highly skilled, and I truly believe the recent award she received from D Magazine for "best doctor in Collin County" is completely deserved! She is an absolute gem! read more

I noticed there hadn't been a very recent review of Centennial.. so here's mine. THIS PLACE IS THE ACTUAL WORST. I'm mad at myself for staying with them during my pregnancy and even more mad at myself for thinking it would be different postpartum. In the beginning, appointments every 4 weeks went smoothly. Until I got to my 20 week appointment and they told me that was the last scan I would be receiving before I delivered. I requested a 36 week ultrasound multiple times and they said no because it "wasn't medically necessary". I argued that they wouldn't know if anything was medically necessary if they weren't checking on the baby. Once I began going every other week, I was scheduled with the NP Ruth because Welborne had a mysterious sabbatical - no one could tell me why my doctor wasn't coming into work...weird. Ruth couldn't even bother to remember if I was having a girl or a boy or write it on my chart to at least pretend. If you want to feel like someone cares for you before you deliver AVOID THIS PLACE. I asked to see Bailey when I started going every week, cause ya know it would be cool to meet the person who would be delivering your baby before you delivered. Apparently I was the only one who thought that. The first time I met Bailey she informed me that she had scheduled my induction a week before my due date even though it wasn't "medically necessary".. never asked me anything about how I wanted to deliver or anything. I told her I didn't want to induce, especially before my due date and she told me the "stress of labor becomes too much for the body after 39 weeks and risk of fetal death increases." So if i don't induce my baby can die...? She told me just by looking my baby would be about 7 pounds. She was born at less than 6 on my due date, so I wouldn't trust her "professional opinion" for anything. If you want to feel supported in your birth plan AVOID THIS PLACE. 3 weeks in I get mastitis. The worst. I called in and they transferred me to the nurse line. I had to leave a message AND SHE NEVER CALLED BACK. I self treated my 102.7 fever with an infant at home. Fast forward to 6 week postpartum appointment. I show up with my baby because my husband works. Got her dressed, fed, and out of the house (standing ovation, thank you) and as i'm checking in she tells me "we don't allow babies in the office". So when I made the appointment for a postpartum check up you didn't think it was important to tell me the baby that made me postpartum can't come?! Whyyyyy did I waste my time with this incompetent office?? AVOID THIS PLACE!! read more

This place will charge you an obscene amount of money and you will NEVER see an actual doctor. This place is an actual "money mill". DO NOT COME HERE!! I went in and waited for over 90 minutes!! After someone finally came in, I found it was a nurse practitioner, Moulin, and she came in and proceeded to abrasively tell me everything that was "wrong" with me and diagnose me with 5 different things! She told me I needed to start taking two different medications and see an blood oncologist, and as I was sobbing, she said "okay let's go up to the front". There was no compassion at all and she made all of these diagnoses that had nothing to do with my reproductive organs. Also, it was right after I had just been cleared by an actual PCP DOCTOR. Dr. Bailey took wonderful care of me during the entire time. She went to the hospital to deliver my baby at 3am in the morning on her day off after seeing me the day before in the afternoon during labor. Dr. Bailey is experienced, laid back, and a great OB! Dr. Ward saw me during postpartum at the hospital, and she was also very nice. Dr. Bailey is very dedicated and takes the time to answer all my questions and concerns each visit. I had a medical issue, wrote to Dr. Bailey in the patient portal at night, and the office called me first thing in the morning to schedule a same day appointment. They do prioritize properly, which is so appreciated. The patient portal also sends appointment reminders, and they will call you for reminders if you don't rsvp online. You can also cancel/reschedule your appointment online. The wait can be long at times, but I think it was all worth it. All female staff here, which is what I was most comfortable with (they use one experienced male OB on call at times on weekends for extra coverage). I recommend Dr. Bailey as an OB 100%! read more

SUPER AWESOME DOCTORS & STAFF!!!! I have been coming here for 10 years after my original OB (that delivered my children) retired. It is hard to find a replacement OB when you loved & trusted your doctor for over 25 years. However, these ladies are just what I needed for the 2nd phase of my life. They help me with anything that comes up, big or small. They preformed my hysterectomy and helped me through breast cancer, even finding me a great Oncology surgeon and a great Gastorologist. I never dread my annual visit, it is so easy and they treat me like a friend. They are smart, competent efficient doctors, but can communicate with their patient in a way that is easy to understand and makes it easy for me to ask questions. You don't feel like they are rushing on to the next room & have time to talk about what might be going on. A rarity in today's world. I very much appreciate the job the doctors, nurses, PA and office staff do at Centennial OBGYN! Thank you! read more

It would be hard to find an OB that cares less. At the initial visit early in pregnancy the Dr. seemed warm and open. Took the time to answer our questions and was attentive. She assured us when baby came, unless there were any unforseen circumstances she would be there and that if she wasn't able to we would have a female Dr. to attend to us as she is part of an all women practice. That's exactly what I wanted so we proceeded with her during my pregnancy. However, when my waterbroke we went to the hospital and were informed our Dr was unresponsive and no one from the practice was coming. Since we wanted a female we had a hospitalist deliver us who had not delivered a baby in YEARS - we never received an exist exam or check up before leaving the hospital, even though it's literally attached to her practice and it was a weekday and we were sent to the Nurse Practictioner for all of the 3-4 follow-up visits needed due to the hospitalist getting crazy with the episiotomy. Pregnant women beware - unless you want to schedule your baby in advance and nature decides not to intervene this practice could not care less about you, your baby or your experience. read more

I am a faithful 3 year client to this facility. I've always been treated with respect and a happy smile behind the desk. Dr. Bailey has been amazing and would not change her for the world. Having to go through a tough lose she knew how to comfort me. When my own mother met her she expressed how much she appreciated the attention she gave not just as a doctor but a human being. This year we have been blessed to carry a baby girl and she has been nothing but excited with me and my family. I won't just say they have an exceptional doctor but even her team has been very thoughtful. 5 stars for sure on the people and business! read more

I've been going here for a while and I have to ask myself WHY! I've had to sit in the waiting room for over an HOUR, asking at the desk why other patients were being taken before me even though they arrived WELL after I did, and I was just told to wait. But finally after I blew a gasket they asked me when I had surgery, b/c they couldn't find my file with the other surgery charts. HELLOOOOO NEVER! I was in there for hormone pellet insertion, OH... sorry... and they took me back after I'd sat there for close to 90 minutes. EVERY TIME they call me on my cell though I wrote on my chart to call HOME first. THe next 3 times they called on my cell, I instructed them to remove my cell number. OK today makes number FOUR b/c they're still using that number, and I STILL had to ask them to remove the cell number. Each time they say they've removed that number from my chart. How difficult is that b/c they sure don't seem to have the advanced computer skills required to DELETE a number. They've ordered things like a mammo and a bone density within the SAME year that I'd already had them. I argued w Centennial that I wasn't due for them but they insisted. I got to the imaging facility, and was told my insurance won't cover it b/c it only covered 1/year. I left and called Centennial and informed them, and said it was their mistake, I needed a PAP not a mammo/bone density (like those are even CLOSE??) . I was told I wouldn't be able to get pellets w/o a PAP this time. (Basically they said "my bad" on the bone density and mammo). I got to Centennial and was told my PAP wasn't needed b/c it hadn't been a full year, so wasn't going to be covered. DOES ANYONE CHECK CHARTS? But this was after I was taken into the exam room, prepared for the pap (stirrups and a gown) and then was told "You're not due for a pap." This very same thing happened AGAIN last week and their excuse was "OH, someone filed your PAP under labwork instead of under PAP!" Are you serious? My chart was incorrectly marked (at least twice) as to which hip my pellets were inserted. (I keep a record). They're supposed to be in alternate hips each time if possible. I'm PRETTY sure the THREE STOOGES run this place. The absolutely WORST of the WORST. read more

This place is nothing more than a money mill. They never let you speak to or see a doctor. I went to them for a yearly checkup and to get hormone therapy advice. I never saw a real doctor and they ended up putting in hormonal pellets. They have changed my progesterone prescription 4 times and I have gained weight, bleed constantly and have been having dizzy spells to the point of fainting and they STILL will not let me see or talk to a doctor. This place has the worst customer service and the worst "bedside" manner I have ever experienced at a doctors office. They give ZERO support. I wouldn't ask my worst enemy to go to this office. The worst part is that doctors like these are becoming more and more common and you are roped into seeing them because you have to go to the doctors who are on your insurance and in your network. The nurses, PA's and the office staff are all condescending and rude. PLEASE, PLEASE do not waste your time going to this office. They are horrible!!!!! read more

I am writing this review because my wife and I have had five children and felt a review was in order. Centennial OBGYN and our doctor, Dr. Ward, took great care of my wife and her high risk pregnancy. We always felt the nurses and medical staff cared for my wife and were knowledgeable particularly for our higher risk pregnancy and the potential issues we could face from having our child later in life. We did find the billing department to be less than ideal in handling of insurance overpaymwnr but after finally receiving our refund that was owed to us, we felt an altered review and look was in order. Looking back at our overall view of their staff and handling we will still give a 5 star recommendation due to the quality of medical care they offer at a five star hospital. We recommend requesting Dr. Ward and her extreme knowledge when considering this practice. read more

I have to disagree with the reviews posted about Centennial ob/gyn. I had a great experience. Dr. Welborne is very friendly, kind, and approachable. It was my first time there for a yearly checkup. I didn't wait long to be brought back. The staff was very polite. No one tried to sell me anything. She made me very comfortable. I have an HSA account so I'm used to having to pay something for any medical visit. When it came time to pay, they told me they would just bill me later once they figured out what the insurance would cover. Pretty straightforward medical office visit. read more

TW, Difficult Pregnancy, Still Born - Melissa Bailey and the entire staff took the greatest of care of my husband myself and my baby girl theo, very soon into the pregnancy we got some scary diagnosis, one after the other, we spent almost 8 months working as a team doing everything we could to ensure that nothing else could be done leading to the inevitable, I was monitored super closely, Dr. Bailey referred me to a maternal fetal medicine doctor whom she worked extremely close with the entire time, this situation was life changing, I was made as comfortable as possible with each scary milestone leading to the birth of my sweet baby, I was terrified of what was going to happen at the hospital, although our situation was heart breaking my doctor made sure anyone who stepped foot into my room was informed and composed themselves with compassion, They have set the bar so high for my expectations as far as pregnancy care, Dr.Bailey will forever be my OBGYN for as long as she will have us, thank you so much read more

My Ob/gyn recently retired, so when we found out that we were expecting again, I was literally shopping for a doctor to deliver my baby in August. I'd had a good relationship with my now-retired ob/gyn and wanted a similar rapport with my next one. My husband did his research, and we decided to try to meet Dr Alisa Ward of Centennial obgyn at Baylor, Frisco - given her "compassionate doctor recognition", I was hoping she would be the one!! We called during Christmas week, and made an appointment - for Jan 14th, 2 PM. Then on Jan 13th, at 5:18 PM (less than 24 hours to my appointment), I got an email from Karen Bausone (centennialobgynpa@yahoo.com) stating that I would be required to "pre-pay" for the delivery. And since the "pre-pay" would happen before the services were rendered, I would have to put it on my credit card and not on my HSA, and then claim re-imbursement after the delivery. My previous Ob/gyn had billed me after the delivery, so I thought this to be odd. Wanted to clarify, so I called centennial, but got the recorded message saying it was after hours. So I decided to clear this up when I go to see the Dr. Ward the next day. When I checked in the next day, here is what happened: 1. The front desk person charged me for the first visit + ultrasound - which had not happened yet. Every other doctor I've visited, I've seen the doctor before I've been asked to pay. Red flag?? 2. I then expressed my concern about the pre-pay - saying that I haven't even met Dr. Ward, so I am not sure I want to commit to paying for the delivery upfront right now. After waiting for about 35 minutes, another girl from their staff calls me inside, and says that she has spoken to the doctor about my concerns, and the doctor says that "since you don't agree with our policies, it'd be best if you find another doctor." That's right - I was turned away because I was apprehensive about paying north of $1,500/- without meeting the doctor. And what else - Dr. Ward did not have the courtesy to come talk to me herself - that time slot was booked for my appointment, so I think she should have been able to step out for a moment to talk to me, don't you think? Also, if they would have emailed me that document well in advance, I would have had a chance to clarify things with them earlier and would have saved myself some time - the half hour of waiting there and taking half a day off work. If they have a policy to demand pre-payment, should they not also have a policy to send out this document at the time of making the appointment? One of two things is true for Dr. Ward and the Centennial ObGyn Practice - Either: The office staff is not meticulous with their paperwork, and are making the doctor look bad - they forgot to email me that document well ahead of time, and the doctor does not even know what transpired at her front desk. Or: This place is indeed a "money mill" that says "commit to pay without even seeing the doctor, or the doctor will not see you!" And that makes me wonder how they get all these "awards"??!! I've now been to their office 3 times and every time have had to sit and wait for an HOUR after my scheduled appointment before being seen. It doesn't matter how good the care is if they can't respect their patients time and manage their schedules. I won't be back and won't recommend it to anyone. read more

I hated my experience. I think we have the right to express our opinions even if they may be different than a doctor's. They are not interested in helping unless you do what they want, wouldn't even discuss alternate ways to help at all. I took time off work and it was completely wasted. Just moved to Texas and had to find a new GYN. This was the worst office I have ever been to in every aspect. Waited 1.5 hours for my annual exam. They ended up coding it as a repeat instead of an annual. I tried to contest it but got no where after months of calling and calling. I ended up just paying the $150, the very first time I've ever had to pay for an annual exam. Office staff is extremely rude and unhelpful. Dr. Ward I was also very unimpressed with. Things like appointments, labs, and billing- they are always so nice and friendly. The on-staff nurse for questions is an amazingly convenient way for quick help. I am a new patient to the practice and have truly enjoyed getting to know Dr. Bailey. She is warm and knowledgeable, and she seems to love what she does. The office staff has been efficient in their work, although I really would appreciate for some of them to improve in their interpersonal skills. A simple "good morning, how are you?" would make such a difference and keep you from feeling like you are just another number. Some of them are very warm, but some are not and I seem to keep bumping into those ones. This is the only reason why I don't give the practice a 5 star review. Maria, one of the nurses, is quick to call you back and address your concerns. The wait in the lobby may be long at times but I have come to conclude that it's possibly because of Dr. Bailey's outstanding bedside manners, judging from the intentional unrushed attention she has given me, and I barely ever have questions to ask. This was not a good experience for me, it came recommended but I did not receive good communication from them. Every time I tried to call I was put on hold for extended periods of time, calls frequently dropped when I was on hold, I felt more like a paycheck rather than a patient, I miscarried and the option of D&C, pill, and natural passing of the miscarriage were advised. I called them and scheduled the D&C, nothing was ever explained to me about what I would go through if I began to pass everything before the D&C, I went into labor on my bathroom floor being the most painful and horrible experience ever. As it was Sunday there was no way to contact for help or information. When I called to cancel the D&C, again I was put on hold multiple times, waited for a Michelle since the DR was never available to answer questions, I have never felt so unimportant to a doctor. I asked Michelle to cancel my D&C, then she informed me I NEEDED to come back for another sonogram and more bloodwork, I asked her how long I would have to wait before I could try again and was told the doctor could answer that after my sonogram and bloodwork.... That is unacceptable! I needed information regarding this whole experience as this was my first attempt at a baby with my husband and my only other child was 13... I needed answers but never was able to speak with a doctor or get answers without scheduling an apptmt and paying to do more bloodwork. I honestly hope they don't treat anyone else like this and can simply answer questions or give needed information to prepare patients as if they care for them and not the money. All could have been avoided if i could have actually received answers and information without paying for bloodwork every time for a baby i do not even get to have. read more

I would not recommend any pregnant woman to see anyone in this office. I am 29 weeks pregnant. My family and I just moved here from Kansas City December 1, 2014 with my husband's job. I made an appointment on October 6th, 2014 to be seen December 3, 2014. We went in for the appt, met the ob/gyn, who seemed very lovely, and scheduled my next appt, Dec. 22nd, 2014, on our way out. On December 5th, I was called and informed that the total estimated out of pocket cost of my labor and delivery (approx. 02/26/2015) would be $1200.00 and further more, it would be due on 12/14/2014. Now, there may be some women who have this kind of money lying around. Unfortunately, with us just moving, we would not have the total amount available until, 12/23/2014. When I called to try to make arrangements to have this paid when we would have it available, I was told that I either had to come up with the money or look for ANOTHER new OB/GYN. Apparently it's company policy to collect the money for delivery by your 30th week of pregnancy. I have several issues with this service. First of all, if that truly is your company policy, wouldn't it have been customary to inform me of this when I called to make the appt in October? Second of all, we all know its already stressful enough being pregnant without moving to a whole new city in the middle of your pregnancy and having to find a new ob/gyn. You all couldn't wait a week for me to get the money together? Finding a good OB/GYN is already hard enough. This office obviously is more concerned with money than providing great customer service. DO NOT trust these people with your care or the care of your new baby. read more

I've been coming to Centennial OB/GYN since 2013 and i LOVE this facility. Dr. Ward and all of her nurses are amazing. They've helped me so much over the years! Sad to see negative reviews, because i have never had anything but positive experiences here. The ladies at the front desk are so sweet and always help me if i have any insurance/scheduling issues. I have never waited more than 30 minutes in the waiting room, and the only times that has happened is when there was an emergency with another patient or i was late(both of which are not the facilities fault). People that complain about wait times have clearly never worked in healthcare or a doctors office before. Offices run behind sometimes, it happens. Delay in my appointment has never affected the care I've received. And as far as billing and insurance go, again, people that complain about these things have obviously never had to experience the evil nature of insurance billing/claims. I can say from experience those issues are 99% of the time your insurances fault, NOT the doctor or billers & coders. Payment up front is extremely common in healthcare facilities in the united states. This is due to the fact that insurance companies will deny claims for no good reason and the office then has to rely on patients for payment of services AFTER THE FACT- which takes more time and equals a loss in revenue. It is not about being "money hungry" or "greedy", it is simply the assurance that the facility is being paid for the services they are providing to you. Be upset with the corrupt insurance companies instead of blaming the doctors. i highly recommend Dr. Ward or any of her partners if you want the highest quality care all around. read more
