I flew in from Los Angeles to support a close friend through a very personal and emotional appointment at Aspire Fertility in Addison. I brought my young daughter with me, not expecting any issues. The moment we stepped off the elevator--literally before a hello or welcome--we were told that children are not allowed in the clinic due to the "sensitivity" of other patients. I completely understand that fertility treatments can be an emotional experience and that some policies are in place for that reason. But here's the issue: Where was the empathy? The professionalism? The basic courtesy? No signage, no prior notice, no discreet conversation--just a cold, public directive to leave and "join on FaceTime." That's not compassion; that's carelessness. As a guest who traveled across the country to support someone going through an already difficult process, I was left feeling disrespected, dismissed, and ultimately disappointed by how they handled the situation. Being "mindful" of all patients includes how you treat THEIR SUPPORT SYSTEMS, too. Aspire Fertility may specialize in reproductive health, but clearly, they've got some growing to do in how they handle human connection. Not a great place to go if you are looking for fertility answers. They are slow to respond, and not very aggressive in their approach to helping you. I felt like I had to overly advocate for myself here, which is exhausting when dealing with something as sensitive as fertility. read more

My husband and I went to the clinic in Addison to begin treatment so we could have a baby in August of this year. We decided that an IUI was the initial course of action we wanted to take and paid for the procedure in full. Well we ended up falling pregnant naturally and requested a refund and here we are almost 3 months later and still no refund. I get literally no answers from the local clinic and get the run around about how "only corporate processes refunds." They canceled my initial refund request saying we owed them $15 for previous rendered services which we provided proof that we did not and had paid that before the refund was initiated and they are still dragging their feet giving me my money back. This place is so unprofessional and only care about stealing peoples moneys when their services are no longer needed! GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!!!!! read more

I had a consultation a few years ago to just introduce myself, since that's all that it was. The initial consultation is very fluff and no real substance, which is why they first told me the cost would apply towards my next appointment. which now I know is a cash grab. Especially if you are self-pay patient like myself. I reached out to follow up and schedule my initial testing again, and they stated that I would now be considered a new patient, and would now need to pay another consultation fee of $250. Even though I already paid a fee and the new consultation is not even really needed when no testing is being done, just asking you basic questions that can be answered through the intake forms, not to mention nothing has changed in my health. I really wanted to move forward with this practice but It screams money hungry and it's just not fair. I tried voicing my concerns over the phone before writing this review. and they didn't care, they wanted my wallet again. Im devastated about this, its just not right. read more

Dr. Mansfield was the best doctor to go through treatment with. She is the most compassionate, sweet doctor. Every time we would meet with her she would go in detail through any process and by the end had answered most of my list of questions. We did 2 rounds of IVF and thanks to her we have our little Angel with us now. Be AWARE billing department is a headache to deal with. I had multiple issues with them. They hired an outside company so anytime you have a question or issue the clinic who you made payments to will not answer but you have to contact a third party. 2/23/24- scheduled initial consultation 2/28/24- called to ask about the cost of the consultation after insurance- was told there was no charge. 3/8/24- received bill for $184. Called to see what was going on, was on hold for 30 minutes, opened ticket with the prelude system in the email I received. 3/10/24- ticket closed without comment. Opened a new ticket. 3/11/24- had appointment with Dr. Wu. Good explanation, he brought up some points that I had in my head and disagreed with my OB on. Agreed with plan to follow up at the start of the next cycle 3/13/23- get an estimate of insurance coverage for next steps and message from financial counselor, asking when I'd like to go over things. I respond right away, asking again about the $180. I also get a call from the clinical team regarding the next steps, asking if I had any questions. I didn't initially but responded to a follow up message with 3 questions. I brought up on the phone call my financial issues, they said I would get a call back that day or Thursday. 3/15/24- call aspire, trying to see about... anything. Particularly the $180 because it has now been a full week. I was told I would get a call back on Monday. I open up a new email ticket on the $180 bill because at least then I got a "case closed" instead of complete ghosting 3/19/24- I message the financial counselor again. It's ridiculous at this point how many business days they have had to answer why I was being billed after being told there would be no charge. I receive an auto message to call back during normal business hours As of writing this I have not received a single answer to a single question from Aspire Fertility. I liked Dr. Wu, but I don't think I'll ever get a hold of anyone again to get to him. I am currently looking at other clinic options. If communication is that poor before I've had anything done, I can't imagine how it will be when I'm actually getting treatment and need answers quickly. I was hesitant to give this clinic even these 2 stars as the only reason for them is the fact that my IVF round ultimately resulted in my beautiful boy. However, my Doctor has since left this clinic and opened her own practice. Dr. Linda Elkins was WONDERFUL and her nurse was attentive and responsive to my needs. During my IVF and FET cycles I felt taken care of by clinical team. HOWEVER, the billing office and admin staff was horrible. So many many voicemails go unreturned. I often had to call at least 5 separate times and leave multiple voicemails and messages and get very frustrated before anyone would respond. I also paid via IVF loan and I'm fairly certain they overcharged us but could never get my itemized statements from billing despite leaving messages, emails, etc. Glad to be done with them and moving my embryos to another storage and following Dr Elkins to her practice. read more

Aspire Fertility Dallas was outstanding and I could not recommend them more. Our doctor, Dr. Linda Elkins, was kind, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable. She made my wife and I feel l like we were high profile patients but family friends. She went over and beyond our expectations and hopes. As this was our first experience, we were a little nervous of what to expect. This worry was quickly alleviated, as soon as we had an opportunity to spend some time with Dr. Elkins and staff. In addition, we absolutely loved our nurse Shab Liles. Shab's smile, demeanor, and knowledge was so contagious that it was hard to have a bad experience. Even after our experience was over, Shab continued to check up on us and make sure everything was going well. She went above and beyond anything we could have hoped for. Having worked in hundreds of hospitals and clinics across the country, I found this facility to be state of the art in both the rooms and equipment. There are too many other staff members at Aspire Dallas that made this experience great to name for both my wife and I. However, I would highly recommend the competent and knowledge staff at Aspire. When experiencing such an significant milestone in your life, it is important to have a team that you can trust and count on. Aspire Dallas should be your first call. read more

Dr. Wu was fine, but as several reviewers have stated, the office staff is TERRIBLE. The fertility treatment process often has very specific timelines, but the staff were never aware of my patient calendar and when appointments or test results needed to be complete. This resulted in us almost ruining a few cycles had I not been on them about the timing. Reception and billing were often rude and uncooperative on the phone, and I always had to double check the information or dates given to me as the staff were unaware of my specifics. I will say that the nurses were lovely and several went above and beyond for me on a few occasions. I was finally compelled to write this review when the billing office sent a statement SIX MONTHS after the service was rendered, and we had already moved on to another clinic. Our first IVF experience was with them and it was horrific. The clinic is disorganized, the staff doesn't return calls timely, they don't care for you like your a real person, I felt like just another number... saw my doctor on the day we interviewed and never saw him again till the day we left the clinic! He didn't even do my retrieval! The lab is Terrible no updates given in a timely manner! We left this clinic after being told my husband sperm wasn't good and he was the issue. So we transferred our supposed bad sperm to hfi and got pregnant within 2 months! read more

Dr. Elkins and her staff were outstanding. My husband and I were in a difficult time having found out our previous child was born with a super rare disease. To avoid that happening again if we wanted another child, we were recommended to Dr. Elkins. Best thing ever was just going and talking to her and weighing our options. She is super knowledgeable, kind and the upmost compassionate. The office went above and beyond to help us navigate this process and made us priority along the way. horrible customer service. Disappointed bc we loved Dr. Elkins but the financial staff and administrative staff are horrible. They urged us to get lab tests prior to insurance approval because they called and said it was covered by our insurance. Now we have a $2,000 bill and going through an appeal process and the staff have ghosted us. They never return our calls to follow up on the appeal process. I'd like to start off on how rude the receptionist are everytime you call up there. I have been going here since January, it is now August. This is my first time using a fertility clinic and I guess my expectations were too much for this facility. I started with one doctor and in the middle of it all was told by her nurse that they were leaving and that I'd have a different doctor, which I had never met. I tried to keep my cool, but then the new doctor I received required me to get vaccinations which set me back an additional 3 months. By this point I was furious, the lack of communication is terrible! But wait it gets worse... I payed for all of my labs up front to aspire, but a few months later, received the same bill from the lab. I called aspire several times and tried to get them to work it out but even to this day I'm still trying to fight it. Aspire is responsible for paying them, not me. I finally got ready for my IUI and was told the sperm shipped to them had a low Motile rate, aspire insisted that I go on with the IUI because "It only takes one" the quote straight from her mouth. I called the sperm bank to figure out what happened and they had me send all of aspires information on the sperm to them. The sperm bank then proceeded to tell me that they let the sperm thaw out twice the amount they were supposed to and it damaged/killed off most of the sperm. I wasted over 2500k for a try that they knew wasn't going to work. read more

I did not have a good experience with Aspire Fertility. In the beginning and after my first couple of procedures I thought everything was great, but I learned the hard way that it was not. They have very poor communication skills which led to missing my monthly prescriptions which anyone going through fertility treatments understands that this is a big deal. My nurse, Kim, was very disrespectful to myself and my husband over the phone. I asked for the doctor to call me back and she never did. I even left voicemails asking for anyone that cared about my well being to call me back. No one ever did. They actually stopped answering my phone calls. My time with them ended up costing me a lot of wasted money, time, and energy. I had to seek out new doctors that are doing a much better job and seem more knowledgeable. read more

The Dr. was very knowledgable, however, the practice was horrible. I went in for an initial consultation (made a month in advance due to no appointments being available) and gave blood for initial testing. After not hearing from them for 10+ days, I sent emails and called 4+ times leaving messages with the front desk. 60 days later, I received a call from a nurse who told me they just had a period of 'high turnover' and my patient results 'got lost in the shuffle'. Nothing has made me feel more like 'just a number'. How do you forget a patient? The nurse gave me my blood results over the phone, completely freaking me out by the findings. I ended up going in and speaking with the Doctor and she gave me a better understanding- however, there was a lot of miscommunication, frustration, and unnecessary stress as a result of that phone call. Since then I've had no follow up calls from anyone at Aspire. I went to another Dr. and the practice has been extremely proactive, communicative and upfront. I am so happy I went somewhere else where I actually feel like more than a number and am receiving the level of service expected with such a delicate situation.
