I initially was so happy to find CWC for my first pregnancy. They were so helpful and caring from the front office to the NP to the Doctor. HOWEVER, my insurance changed at the start of this year. I updated the office before my 16 week appointment and as soon as I got to my appointment they had to reschedule me because of the doctor not being available but also because they could not figure out my new insurance. They asked me to call my insurance company and I found out their office is not covered. So unfortunately I had to find another doctors office that would be covered under my insurance. In order to make an appointment there, I had to ask CWC to send over my medical records to the new office. CWC told me they need 14 business days just to get all my paperwork together (I'm sure all my stuff is digital and I've only had 3-4 appointments, so I'm not sure what takes so long) and after asking if they can expedite it so I can make a new appointment and don't miss any appointments, they refused and could not care less over the phone. It was almost as if the person on the phone wasn't even paying attention and did not care about my situation. SUPER frustrating and disappointing to put a pregnant woman through. read more

The front office staff of CWC, and specifically, Dr. Nguyen T Nguyen DO, are recommended with enthusiasm and confidence. I had nothing but positive experiences while in their care. Dr Nguyen is an expert in robotic assisted Hysterectomies and took excellent care of me before, during and after my surgery. She was always open to answering all my questions and took extra care during my surgery to minimize post-op healing time. Dr. Jacob is sweet, caring, and personable. I appreciate the relaxed atmosphere she provides. I also appreciate one of her nurses, Shardae. During my pregnancy, I'd often have to bring my 3yo with me to visits. It's absolutely not the staff's job to entertain my daughter, but Shardae did just that every time. She talked to her, brought her crayons, and made her feel important. This made each appt a great experience because while my daughter was happy and focused on coloring, I could talk with Dr. Jacob. Dr. Jacobs is funny, down to earth, and open to listening to what's going on. It's been awhile since I felt this comfortable with my Obgyn and I instantly felt so. I feel like she is making solutions and plans that work for me versus what has worked for other people. She is professional and I am grateful to have found her! I've been seeing Dr. Jacob for the past 2 years and I absolutely love her. She always spends time to catch up and really ask me if I have any additional concerns or questions at the end of the appointment. Today, she was out of the office for the whole week and I had a medical emergency that needed to be seen pretty quickly so I called right at opening (8:30am) to see if they could squeeze me in. They told me that even the nurse practitioner was booked for the whole day so they wouldn't be able to see me but the medical assistant would call me and might be able to call in a prescription to the pharmacy for me. The MA didn't call me until 4pm and asked if I could come in now. I said sure cause it was an important issue. I showed up and the nurse practitioner basically spent about 5 min with me to get the swab and was extremely sassy. During my exam, she said, in a condescending tone, "next time don't use anything when you know you're going to come in." I explained to her that I didn't know I was coming in till about 20 min ago since the receptionist told me they were booked the whole day so I had to find some over the counter treatments to hold me over. She then said "well I just squeezed you in since my schedule was full." If I knew I was actually going to be seen by someone, obviously I wouldn't have had to use any OTC medications. At the end of the exam, I asked several clarifying questions about when I would get my results and her responses were extremely rude and demeaning. She also said that the OTC cream I bought and used prior to my exam wasn't as effective as the 7 day treatment because it was a different percentage of medication. I double checked that information once I got home and the creams are the exact same concentration! Now, I also want to mention that I am in the medical field and I did mention that to her during our meeting but she basically spoke to me as if I were an idiot. I definitely didn't appreciate her tone but being the better person, I've always learned to just brush it off because maybe that person is having a bad day or they're really in a rush to get home. However, as a medical care provider, you should be able to separate those and really just solely focus on your patient during their visit no matter what is going on in your personal life. That was the most unprofessional encounter I've ever experienced and it's disappointing that she may be the reason why I may not return to Dr. Jacob's office in the future. read more

Dr. Nedra Rice is very friendly. The building was easy to locate it's Plaza 1 and third floor. The office has a lot of seats and there's a lot of young women in that (workers and patients). I didn't see one that looked pass age 35. Almost everything is done online here. Your check in online, medications online. So if you don't know how to work internet I wouldn't recommend. For most part it's quick and easy. The nurses are really nice, and they have a casual attire, presence feel. Dr. Rice is very welcoming, informative and professional. She makes you feel at ease and explains a plan she'll work with you to accommodate measures, if needed. The only complaint I have is I have a Medication on my Portal account with them that is different than the medication that was dispensed to me at the pharmacy. It's same dosage and does same things, but different brands. I don't know if they sent over the wrong information or if the pharmacy dispensed me the wrong medication.. I couldn't call them because my appointment was on a Friday and they're closed at noon and 4th July they're closed (Mon) so I'm just going to have to wait. read more

She is personable and professional and she was so supportive and accessible during my entire pregnancy and delivery of my first born. The doctors have been wonderful here, but unfortunately they have not been able to find a new nurse practitioner that seems to fit the values of their practice. Since Christa left I have had to see the new nurse practitioners a few times, and neither were able to fill her shoes. I felt judged and uncomfortable, and left rather depressed after visits with them. It is difficult to get an appointment less than 1-2 months in advance if you want to see a doctor, which is understandable... but if patients have to see the nurse practitioner, the level of care and atmosphere should still be similar. I did not feel that my comfort level was their first priority. Another thing which could be improved is the level of communication or information kept in patient files. Each time I have to talk to someone about what is going on, I have to repeat the entire story and sometimes I have to explain information which has been explained to me; if it is their job, staff should be able to properly inform and assist patients--patients should not have to inform the medical staff. A few details are fine, but it would be preferable that: -when needing to discuss a patient's concerns at least some of the information in the file has been reviewed and incorrect suggestions (according to previous information provided directly to the patient from the doctors...) were not made -the patient would not have to repeat every intimate detail to multiple employees to get things resolved. If necessary, just take a message and have the doctor or NP call the patient back to get details instead of the staff member trying to get them herself when she does not understand or is not familiar with the condition. I am not posting the review to be negative or mean, but I truly feel this practice has been and could be great and would just like to give a little feedback that might be able to improve patient experiences--thank you for your time! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! They will nickel and dime you for every little thing. Went in for an annual exam and was charged for an additional visit because I asked about getting on birth control. Insurance assured they shouldn't have done that. Called the office and they refused to fix it! They sent my blood to an outside lab for testing without my consent and was charged $50. Charged me for a pregnancy test - $25. And this is with insurance! The Dr. insinuated I needed to lose weight since I had high cholesterol- I am 5'10 and 148 lbs. Very much within a healthy weight range! Please avoid for your own sake. read more

The staff and the front desk personnel seem to have an attitude and were not friendly. Long waiting times (waited 30-40 minutes after my scheduled appointment) and was told to come in for an initial consultation appointment (turns out to be $200) but couldn't even get any services after due to their overbooked times which they failed to notify me about. There are much better offices less than half a mile away from this place with more friendlier staff who are not going to play you for your money read more

I saw that Dr Jacob's had really good reviews so I tried to schedule to see her. I am new to the area and needed an appt asap as my old doctor in CA had me recommended for an appointment in the next 7 days. Initially I called an confirmed that they would have availability in my time frame. They said yes they did but they needed my old records before I could make an appointment and that I myself would have to fax them. Of course I don't have a fax machine so I asked if they could request from my old doctor directly. They said no that I would have to do it. This is when they started being very unhelpful. I managed to get them the records within 2 days after very much stress and ping pinging between doctors with no help from them. Once they finally got them they tried to schedule me for a different doctor a month out. I said I had requested doctor Jacob's and she said I was confused and that I would have to wait even longer and cancel the appointment which she hadn't even booked for a month out with a different doctor. She was extremely rude and told me they had no availability which I checked before I even tried to make an appt and also blamed it being the wrong doctor on me. I was nervous because I was having some issues and felt I needed to be seen right away and she basically said we can't help you just because you're pregnant. Probably close to the worst customer service I have ever received. It was even more painful since its due to such an emotional and sensitive issue youd think they would hire only women who are kind and supportive not to mention competent. I don't know if the doctors are good or not but I guess I'll never find out because the front desk service was beyond terrible and pushed me away. read more

I used to love this place. Staff was all very nice and helpful. The last time I went, the girl at the front desk was rude, I waited for over 30 mins after my scheduled appointment, the nurse who brought me back was very friendly but the new nurse practitioner is very curt and not very personable. And you can never get through on the phone and if you do they have to have someone call you back which is never very prompt. They're office hours are supposed to be 830-5 but you can't get through until at least 845. They close for over an hour for lunch and the phone is turned off by 445. There is a lot more that just adds up Time to change doctors I think. read more

I left, and I knew that they usually take long but I can't do this every single time I want to be seen. Dr. Nedra Rice IS wonderful, and she makes me feel like we're best friends. Of course, we're not, but that's fantastic when a pro in any field makes any customer/patient feel that way. To A.K. who said on 6/24/16 "This is an extremely corrupt practice." Careful about the words you use when you don't know what they actually mean. What you describe is, in your opinion, poor customer service and some very rude people demonstrated by really bad manners. Corrupt though refers to illegal activities, such as insurance fraud, not revealing ownership in a facility they use or refer you to or do procedures you don't actually need just so they can collect for it. Those type of activities. Contemporary Women's Care does NOT do these things and they are NOT CORRUPT. And unfortunately, one or two bad apples can spoil the bunch. Many people work there - 20? 25?. My guess is that maybe 2 people whispered to each other. - possibly not even about you (hopefully not b/c that IS hurtful).....I doubt all 25 of them gathered around to discuss you. If they did, no wonder the other reviews also say long wait times - the entire staff is busy gossiping about each patient...ummm, no. Don't think so. I hope you told someone there so it could be addressed. That is very unprofessional of staff to whisper about patients, I do agree with that. I saw Dr. Franken and subsequently, Dr. Rice who ultimately became my surgeon. The bedside manner of both doctors can't be beat. Not only are both doctors highly competent in what they do, but in this line of work, we all need something more than competency, and these doctors deliver! Both doctors both go above and beyond in delivering compassion and empathy, which is very difficult to find. Newly remodeled office, I like it... The staff is very sweet, from the front desk to the girls in the back. I feel like I'm amongst gf when I'm there. Not judged or anything. Very friendly and professional. Only downfall (other drs offices are doing this too) is they have everything on-line. I really dislike this. My PCP does this too and it's so complicated to me. I hate this place! Every time I've come in for my SCHEDULED appointment I usually spend 45 mins to a hour waiting before actually seeing the doctor. I called up today to try to make an appointment and the receptionist was so rude that I decided to take my business else where. I didn't get her name but she had kind of a British accent. This is not my first encounter with her, I've over heard her gossiping about patients while waiting and I think it's just wrong. I will not be coming back because of her. read more
