Our A/C went out on Sunday/Fathers Day. Always the worst time right? We called Top Gun and Jon was here in 45 minutes. I know a little about heating and cooling so when he explained the issue (a capacitor) I new he was being honest with me. He had the part with him and my system was back on line within a few minutes. As far as the cost, it was way beyond reasonable. I have found an A/C man. read more

My family and I couldn't have been more impressed with Kylen Brown and the team at Top Gun Heating and Air. Kylen arrived early and did an incredible job of servicing our AC unit and even taught us a few different ways to save on energy costs going forward. We'll definitely be using Top Gun's services again and recommending everyone we know to do the same! read more

Wouldn't you know it, the minute I canceled my home warranty company, my AC starts to act funny. So I got on to see who the Yelpers recommended and found Top Gun. I left a message via their website on a Sunday and by early Monday morning I had already been contacted. Someone (Kyle) actually came THAT day. That surprised me but I was glad it happened so quickly. It ended up being a much bigger job than I had anticipated and I trusted they told me the truth. Sometimes you just have to trust folks. Anyway, I ended up needing a new air handler (gulp) and it was installed the very next day. I really couldn't believe the fast turnaround time. The owner came as the job was ending to check on things and collect payment. The installers were polite and very clean. They had a plastic runner from my front door to the attic to keep my floors clean. I wasn't really worried about it but I am a bit OCD in the cleaning department. All in all a good experience. A bunch of reviews (39 to be exact) for this place are "hidden" using the Yelp filtering process and I don't know why. People can give 5 stars and really mean it. read more

Had my lower level hvac system go out on a Thursday before last weekend. Called one of the bigger companies that you hear on the radio. Not only was their quote high, but we would have to wait until the following Monday at earliest for the new system to be installed. I found Jon at Top Gun Air on Yelp and called him immediately after the previous quote. He had me text him some info on the unit to give me a quick estimate before he was able to personally perform his inspection and diagnosis. Jon's quote was almost 3000 less than the other company's AND he was able to have his installers come the next day. Having HVAC work is always a grind, but Jon and his team made it as pain free as possible. I will definitely recommend this company and will not hesitate to use them in the future. To update, a year later my upstairs until (not the one they installed in 2018) stopped cooling on a Saturday night. I called Top Gun not expecting to hear anything until Monday morning. Jon called me on Sunday and setup up a Monday morning appointment. While I was at work, they came and spoke with my wife (treated her great) and found that only the capacitator needed to be replaced. They installed an upgraded version within 20 minutes and that was that. There was no upselling or anything else shady involved. My wife and I are extremely satisfied with their service and will be using them the next time they are needed (hopefully longer than a year though!). read more

I am very happy with Top Gun Air! Service is EXCELLENT!! Very informative, honest work, not pushy, fair pricing, and same day service! Can't say it enough adding a return in our master bedroom best decision ever, we're freezing at night now! Ha! Highly recommend this company, ask for Jon, my husband and I were very impressed! Thank you again!! read more

Our AC was leaking water for a week. Our original contractor told us he could not come out until 25 weeks. I called Top Gun. Their Serviceman, Austin, came to our house that day. A leak pan was missing from our AC. He replaced it. I was so happy with the service I signed up for a maintenance contract. Austin was professional and did a great job. Prices are great too. read more

Really excellent service. Easy communication, good pricing, efficient and helpful. Will absolutely recommend to everyone we know!

Our church had a good experience a service call with Kylen last spring so when our furnace unit was getting kicking out after about 10--15 minutes we called Top Gun again. Kylen came out again and after looking over the situation determined that we needed to have an electrician put in a new panel breaker. The electrician determined that it wasn't a panel breaker problem but that it was a wrong size contactor. I called Top Gun and the electrician told Kyle what needed to be done. A few minutes later Kyle called and said he would be out in 30 minutes and would repair it at no additional charge. Upon arrival, Kyle called the manufacturer and determined that we already had the correct contactor -- but it was pitted and black so he went to the warehouse and got a new one and installed it. Even then the three breakers were over heating and the unit would shut off. What was the cause??? He checked everything over, tightened all circuits, troubleshooted with his own electrician and they decided one of the breakers on the unit could be bad. He made a second trip to the ware house and installed the new unit breaker. Now two hours later -- the unit is working and breakers are cool. NOW FOR THE AMAZING NEWS: Kyle said, (with a twinkle in his eyes), there would be no charge for his time, or for the new contactor and breaker. He was sorry they weren't able to catch this very unusual issue on the first visit and he wanted us to be a happy customer. Kyle doesn't know it but our small church has been hit hard by Covid with several of our members losing income and not able to keep their pledges. We are struggling to pay our bills and his kindness and excellent service is a huge blessing. I can't speak highly enough of Kyle and Kylen and the service we received in May and again today. I wish we could give 10 stars to Top Gun. Ken E read more

Great service for a great price. They knew what they had to do with repairing our A/C as well as explained options for what could wait for later but will need mending down the road. Completed the work on time and on budget. Highly recommend. read more

Our technician was able to come out about three hours after I called, which is awesome. He quickly identified the problem and flushed out our unit and our hot hot house was soon cool again. In this Texas summer heat, he was a miracle worker. He then came back the next morning to maintenance our unit and get it up to where it needed to be to run smoothly for another year. He was polite, informative, and friendly. The price was completely reasonable and I will definitely be giving them a call for AC needs in the future. read more

Our upstairs AC unit stopped working on a Saturday night. I messaged Top Gun via yelp the next day, after seeing all their 5 star reviews. Within 20 minutes, I had a response and an appointment set up for the following day. Kyle arrived early (yay!) and had our AC back up and working fast! We were sure that we'd have to buy a new unit, since our current one is so old, so we were ecstatic when he got it working!! We will definitely be calling Top Gun for all our future AC needs! read more

I just finished having Top Gun Air service my HVAC system and I wanted to pass along what a great experience it was. Jon was very courteous, friendly, insightful, and helpful. He quickly resolved my issue and gave me multiple tips on how to keep my HVAC system running well. I was able to get an appointment with them quickly and the rate is very affordable. I can't imagine there is anyone better in the DFW area than Top Gun Air and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs assistance with their heating and air conditioning system. read more

My unit stopped working at 2:00 pm today and Kyle was out working on my system before 5 pm. Theses guys are great and honest. They fixed my existing system by fixing the mess the other companies I have hired left. Their pricing is good and they know what they are doing. read more

A few days ago Top Gun installed a new HVAC system at my residence. They did an excellent job with the install. I have to admit I am sort of critical regarding purchases and repairs of any kind , but I have to admit I did not have a one complaint after the install was completed. This is a very professional company and the owner is honest , please stay that way!! So far the system is working great. I thought about putting these guys in my Will. I need to wait on that I suppose. read more

We've been using Top Gun for about a year. Everyone has been such a pleasure to work with. Very professional, great communication, and thorough. Definitely recommend this company! read more

We decided to try Top Gun for an A/C problem and Kylen came to our rescue. He is an extremely pleasant young man who wants to help his customers and, most importantly, knows what to do to to resolve heat and air issues. It looks like we have found a winner! read more

I had a great experience with Top Gun Air. I requested an appointment online, and they called me back promptly to schedule. They arrived on time. Fortunately, I did not have a big issue with my furnace and they did not try and "upsell" me or find other problems to fix. Kyle was honest, professional, and knowledgeable. I recommend this company and I will be using them again to service my units. read more

I was in desperate need of assistance with two clogged air conditioners in July. Kyle was extremely professional, empathetic and even worked his schedule around to come out for repair the same day. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable in troubleshooting the issue, he went above and beyond to ensure both units were in top working order. I'm definitely a Top Gun customer for life. I highly recommend them to anyone in the area. A+ for sure!!! read more

Wow! Just amazing!!!! I can't recommend this company enough. Don't call anyone else, just call TopGun (cool name, btw). The tech explained everything at the end of the install, which I like because I want to know what I'm getting for my money. You can see he takes pride in his craftsmanship (our new unit now makes the other look sad), and he even helped me troubleshoot my new Nest thermostat. Overall, I am VERY pleased with our system now (super cold and our bill is even lower. Yay, efficiency!). And the service...HONEST, GREAT PRICE, TOP NOTCH!! Will definitely be calling if I ever need anything in the future. read more

Had issues with our furnace on a Friday afternoon. Called the office and was able to get a tech out to our house that afternoon. The tech was polite and knowledgeable. Found our issue quickly. I highly recommend Top Gun Heating & Air. read more

Our heater went out over Christmas weekend on that Sunday, I texted Jon to see if they were working Monday to come look at our unit. He set up the appointment and we're at our house by noon, Monday....unfortunately our system was original when the house was built in the early 90's and was going to need a major repair to fix. We went ahead and decided to go ahead and have our complete Central Air & Heat replaced since we kept having problems in the past with our AC. The Top Gun team showed up that Wednesday of the same week and removed the old system that was in our attic and installed a whole new system in one day. Jon personally showed up to show us how to program our new thermostat, answer any questions, and walk thru our payment options. I went up in the attic the next day and looked at the unit and how it. Was professionally installed, no trash or debit left and install was clean and orderly. I highly recommend Jon and Top Gun for any of your AC and heating needs. read more

These guys are the best of the best, I had a complicated high voltage issue that left me without heat for several days and these guys diagnosed the issue so I could have my energy company fix the main problem, and then came back out very quickly afterwards and fixed everything in a timely and very professional manner. Don't call anyone else if you need service done to your HVAC. 10/10. read more

I'm really, really glad I called this company. I comparison-shopped for a full system replacement and one of the other companies, a big well-known one in this area, gave a quote for almost twice as much as Top Gun Air did! Everything went smoothly and they explained everything and did what they said they were going to do. The only complaint I have is that we don't like the thermostat they gave us - its interface is confusing to use and it doesn't seem to obey our programming. So we will probably end up replacing that. But the system works beautifully and our power bill has dropped dramatically. And we saved thousands of dollars by going with this company. read more

Quickly got my air conditioner working again. Quite a relief in these days where we are still working form home.

Had some issues with all 3 of my A/C units. Top Gun came out and solved the problem right way. Very professional and extremely knowledgeable. Gave me several repair options, didn't try to upsell me on a whole new system but let me know what the pros and cons were to fixing vs. Replacing. Greatest service ever! read more

I have used Top Gun Heating and Air to replace 2 units, the inside and out, as well as replace a blower a few years later. I found Top Gun to not only be extremely fair, if not well below market average, they also gave me honest advice about not necessarily needing to replace the furnaces at the time, when many others in the industry take advantage of those situations. Jon, the owner of the company, has always answered my questions and concerns right away, and always has the best, most honest advice and recommendations. I highly recommend this outstanding company. read more

I had a small issue (that could have been big) with my HVAC and he was responsive and honest with what was wrong with it. No upselling, no extra charges, just honest analysis. There is something to be said for someone who picks up your call and even texts back and forth when needed. I appreciated John and his efforts! I will use again and you should too. read more

Amazing service from top gun air. Our air conditioner went out on an evening at about 4 PM They were out here by 5 PM and ready to replace the unit the next day. I waited an extra day and interviewed 4 other companies And top gun air was definitely the best price for the amount of service. They didn't try to upsell me on any products, they informed me of all my different choices and what that meant, and let me decide on which unit would be best for my home and budget. The work they did is fantastic I should've gotten them much earlier in the summer and not try to make it through with a partially working air conditioner. read more

The reviews don't lie, Jon was great! He kept me updated throughout the process, quoted me after he assessed the problem, was extremely reasonable in pricing, was here within 3 hours of me calling him and had our AC running again the same day. I will be using him again for any future needs we have and will definitely recommend him to anyone looking for good quality, fast, friendly service! Thanks Jon! read more

Being a Realtor for the DFW area, I need reliable and honest companies! I had other higher estimates from other companies and come to found out the things they recommended, really didn't need to be done. I was referred to Top Gun Air by a friend and I couldn't have been happier with the service John the owner provided. Not only did he "honestly" recommended what I needed done, he was very detailed. He told me the first guy didn't need to do "extra" work!! He also was very competitive on price and he didn't over charge! I would recommend John to anyone looking for a honest AC company that does great work!! read more

I called another HVAC company on a Tuesday and left a message, called again Wednesday, but didn't hear anything back. My AC unit wasn't blowing cold air and the triple digit heat was on its way shortly. I called Top Gun Air and didn't have to leave a message because they answered my call every time. I called on Thursday to schedule an appointment for Friday. Jon was extremely professional, gave all of the information I needed to make an informed decision and did a great job. I had a leak in my system and he checked with Rheem to see if my unit was still under warranty. Luckily for me it was. Other companies I've used in the past would've just charged me thousands to do the repair. The repairs were completed quickly and for an extremely reasonable cost. I now have a reliable HVAC company! read more

Very rarely do I leave a 5 star review for home services because I always feel ripped off, but Jon and his company is the definition of top class. I have used their services numerous times now and they have done a wonderful job every time. Whether it's working in the rain or giving me a clear and non-convoluted estimate, this company will go all the way for the customer. Consistency and transparency; very rare quailities to have these days, but Jon has em both. 100% recommend. read more

Hire this company you won't regret it. He is now my HVAC go to contact from now on One of my HVAC units for my business is a problem child for me. It is temperamental, and has always been finicky and stops without rhyme or reason. Jon responded to my HVAC service request promptly and then when we spoke he asked the right questions. He quoted a fair price for just coming out. We agreed on a maintenance plan and a price - and that was the price I paid even though I know he spent twice as much time working on the unit than he anticipated While it's hard to recount the entire experience, I can tell you that I was happy with his technical proficiency, his approach to troubleshooting an intermittent fault, and his honesty (he could have sold me on some additional repairs and I wouldn't have been the wiser given the regular day to day issues that had my attention at work) I will hire him again if/when needed for work and home read more

Called them on a Wednesday in the evening when we noticed our downstairs AC unit was blowing hot air. They were able to show up first thing 8am Friday morning. They were completely honest with our options based on the fact we have older units. They were upfront with all the cost per option chosen and what would be best for our situation. We ended up going with a temporary fix (low cost) due to our situation and they even agreed if we called back for more service they would deduct what was already paid. Very professional, friendly and honest. Will recommend to others. read more
