Our old HVAC which was original to the house finally quit on us. Daniel found that the compressor…read morewas dead, and we needed to upgrade, so he asked Tyler to stop by the same day. Instead of simply proposing a 1 to 1 replacement, Tyler listened carefully to our issues and came up with a great solution that would increase airflow, reduce humidity, and potentially save on utilities. His proposal would remove both the upstairs and downstairs units and install a variable speed single zoned system with a dehumidifier. Tyler's solution was less expensive than our other finalist, and very competitive with the other bids. Every question was answered quickly and thoroughly. In the end, however, there were some specific things about the thermostat that the other option handled better for our needs, though most people would probably not notice. Even after I let Tyler know we were choosing another company, he was very professional and advised us on a technical detail. I would highly recommend you talk with Tyler when it's time for a new system.

When our AC unit went out in the lovely Texas…read moreheatwave on 7/22 (aka normal Summer!), Rose was quick to listen to our issues and my comedy around our situation (we have an autistic 6 year old who would've been stuck sleeping in bed with us if we didn't find a solution ASAP). Rose had a technician, Rafael, scheduled to come out the SAME DAY. That is truly unheard of in my experience. We were kept updated on arrival time through a tracking link which is way better than being given a large window of time without visibility into an approximate arrival. Rafael was quick to diagnose our issue and walked through our options (needed to replace the unit which was at end of life), informed us of finance options if approved and even put in a temporary fix so our boy could sleep comfortably in his own room that evening. Rose had 2 wonderful technicians come out to install the new unit the wet next day!!! I'm blanking their names but they were efficient and awesome. We had some issues installing the new thermostat, but again, they put in a temp fix and the new unit was up and running in no time. Another gentleman came out about a week later to install the new thermostat. I'm also blanking his name (sorry :/),but he took the time to walk me through why there was trouble installing it in the first place as well as how to operate the new thermostat, applied some default settings based on his recommendations and made sure my app on my phone was working. Fast forward to today, 9/8, we had an issue over the Labor Day weekend with water leaking through a ceiling fixture (older home, older plumbing, happened before). We contacted Strickland on Sunday and they had another wonderful technician, Duncan, to our home this AM. Duncan took the time to explain to us what was going on with the units and assess as well as diagnose it's a plumbing issue related to the unit(s). He provided us with a reference and we have them coming out at 8 am tomorrow (looks like I'll be doing a review in the near future for them as well ;)). Lastly, huge shoutout to Jeremy. Jeremy is the owner, and I can't say enough great things about him and his team. He took the time to call us and make sure everything was going well. I don't know a lot of owners who care to take the time to do that or take our call on a holiday weekend. We will never use anyone else and will always recommend Strickland to family, friends and strangers. Strickland is like family to us!!

In June they performed a routine complimentary maintenance inspection to keep the system running smoothly. On July 30, 2026 the ceiling started dripping. I called them right away. A separate roofer also inspected and confirmed the roof and attic were fine, and specifically recommended checking the drain line on the pancake unit. I relayed this to Sunny Service. Their technician came out the same day, said everything was fine, and charged me another service fee. The next day (July 31, 2026) the roofer returned, opened the ceiling, and immediately found water coming from the direction of the pancake unit. The drain pipe was flooded. Just one day earlier Sunny Service had told me it was not the issue. I now have roughly $2,000 in ceiling repairs to deal with. I'm also unclear why the system did not detect the overflow and shut down, which the technician had previously explained it should do. I trusted this company for two years with a brand-new system. Please make sure any AC company thoroughly checks and clears the condensate drain on every visit. This should never have happened.

I hired Rescue Air & Plumbing in 2023 for routine maintenance on the original AC in our home. What…read moreshould have been a simple visit turned into high pressure sales tactics. They claimed safety issues, pushed contracts in front of me, and scheduled installation for the next day. I tried to cancel but was told I was locked in. I ended up spending around $30,000. After the installation, every maintenance visit came with aggressive attempts to sell me more services I did not need. Then the new system failed in 106 degree heat. The compressor failed at only 16 months old. Communication was poor, and I was left without AC for about seven days. I had to repeatedly chase them for updates. They did not have the part, did not follow up, and someone finally arrived at 10:30 PM after days of waiting. They gave me a two year complimentary membership as compensation. I assumed the membership would end after the two free years. My card on file had expired, yet in May and June 2026 the company suddenly began charging me again. This suggests someone manually updated my card information without my permission. I never authorized a renewal, never received a renewal notice, and never received invoices for any charges. They refunded the charges I caught, but then claimed I owed $95.80 for four months of fees that were never billed and never agreed to. I asked for written confirmation of a zero balance and never received a direct response. They only responded to the BBB and stated the account was at zero. Based on my experience with both service and billing, I strongly recommend being cautious before using this company.

I chose Comfort Land because I related to who I communicated to and was able to establish good communication with them at a, albeit weird hour (Saturday night 9pm). The person I talked to, Will, was very upfront about the pricing. The price was 49$ for a diagnostic visit. I also asked if there was a cancellation fee in case the AC worked itself out, no cancellation fee, and he also recommended some YouTube sites to see if some of the basics could be ruled out on the costumer side. I appreciated that and after doing some price comparison with 2 other companies, one of which tried to upsell me on a yearly plan, I decided to go with Comfort Land. I confirmed the appointment time on Sunday and on Monday they came early afternoon. I was not here when they originally came and my husband interacted with them, he had a favorable opinion. I had done my own research that morning and realized that the problem was likely inside the house since the outside unit was spinning normally and the refrigerant line was cold, but nothing was blowing in my house so I thought it was likely a motor blower issue. they confirmed that they found that the motor blower was not working. they also said the auxillary drain pan was very rusted (like around 2-3 feet of rust on the pan) I like that they documented everything very well and showed and emailed us pictures of what they found in our attic. I felt very comfortable and confident that they were honest and did a good evaluation. They called and had a motor blower and new drain pan delivered from their storage facility and I think the two of them waited outside the house for like 90 minutes for it. I think they came around 1pm, and left around 5 pm after installing everything and left after they made sure the AC was working, including measuring the temperature that came from the AC. In regards to the pricing: It was 2600 to replace the motor and change the drain pan. I did a search on HVAC subreddit and it seemed like that price was reasonable. My husband and I are very grateful for their prompt service, their handwritten evaluation that not only evaluated the immediate problem, as well as overall health of the AC system we had and the degree of wear and tear on some of the other parts. I feel comfortable recommending this company to friends and other people. Please keep up the good work everyone!

I always felt like I was receiving a very fair rate for the amount of work being performed. Select A/C provided me with unbiased opinions and options to resolve my HVAC issues. Select A/C always answered all of my question without attitude or negativity. An example of the character Billy has is when he responded to our call for help late one evening. We determined one of our outside units had been vandalized and rendered inoperative. Even though it was after 9:00 PM and it would have been much easier to ignore our call until the morning, Billy arrived shortly after our contacting Select A/C. Billy worked for over an hour, had all of the necessary parts with him, and had our A/C working 100% prior to leaving. This is only one example of the exemplary service we received from Select A/C. I cannot say 'thanks' to Billy enough. If you are looking for a very dependable, fair, and unbiased HVAC service provider, look no further than Select A/C.
