It was humungous and so was the Donair! I tried a bite of the poutine and Donair they were both delish. It was not soggy and meat was really good. That calzone though .... WOW .... It was sooo good. The only critique was it should include a dip like pizza sauce or something creamy. Plus the prices were reasonable and service was friendly upbeat.

My husband and I were surprised how large the calzones were! They were the size of large individual pizzas! To be honest I was expecting them to be the size of pizza pockets or empanadas. They were large enough for my husband and I to share one calzone! They were baked fresh. Crispy crust and gooey cheese. The seasoning was just right. The calzones were generously packed with ingredients. I was impressed! The milkshakes were thick but I was able to drink with a straw. I had a strawberry milkshake while my husband chose cappuccino flavour. The service was friendly and warm. I had to wait a bit but it was definitely worth the wait! The calzones were freshly baked! There was friendly banter with the staff and customers. Nice welcoming vibe here. The ambience is of a local diner. A nice place to meet up with friends and family to grab a bite. There were a lot of tables and seating available. I wouldn't have known about this place without the IG giveaway but honestly I would love to come back. They have an extensive menu. I would love to try the other menu items. I recommend!

When I first walked in, I was slightly overwhelmed by their menu. They had so much. We ordered a bunch of things: a Beef Donair, a Crispy Chicken Burger, Waffle Fries, and a Reese's Pieces Milkshake. Everything we ordered was just fantastic. The Crispy Chicken Burger was tasty, the House Sauce on it was light and pulled everything all together. It paired well with the chicken patty. The Waffle Fries had a beautiful golden crust on them. And the texture? Chef's kiss. The fries were very good. The Reese's Pieces milkshake was tasty too, it had a thick consistency and was what I pictured when we ordered it. But for me, the star of the show was the Beef Donair. If I could only get one thing from here, it would just be this. I liked everything about it. Although I do wish they added just a little bit more veggies, but that didn't take away from the overall experience. Veggies were good, the donair was flavorful and cooked well. And that sauce? Wow. It was light, not too sweet, and just wonderful. I loved taking a bite each time. All in all, we had a good time here and the food was worth it. We shared everything and were pretty full at the end. It was a 4.5/5 for me. We'll definitely be back!

The story of the owner's kindness made the news about how he gave a man a meal for free because he was hungry went viral and Edmontonians have been making a point to go down to this business to show their appreciation. We ordered a large donair that Landon said was the best donair he ever had! I had a chicken hot dog, which honestly wasn't the best hot dog of life. I LOVE donairs, so my bar is pretty high, and Eddie's not only reached it, but surpassed it. While the place itself is no frills (it's a donair shop, we're not expecting five star dining, right?), the food is amazing, the staff are super friendly and now remember my order as I walk in the door, and the quality is consistent every time. Portion sizes are great as well, so you'll never leave hungry. Maybe I'm biased, but Eddie's will always have a special place in my heart: my fiance happened to adopt our cat after finding him outside the shop (the cat has great taste!), and it's the last meal I ate right before I got engaged. My fiance and I couldn't be happier to be regulars and to support a local business that crushes it with flavour and quality!
