Totally decent donair place. Friendly staff, nice area to wait with lots of sport on the tv's. We intended for takeout but it was pretty inviting so we sat and watched wrestling on the tv while eating our donairs. The donairs are big - I'm getting a small next time as the regulars are big! The menu has more than donairs, lots of other options. My daughter got the chicken strips and a milk shake. She obviously LOVED the milkshake! I think I'll get that next time. Stopped in last night and tried the regular Donair and it was really good. Lots of meat, which was cut in front of me and fried on the grill. I did think they were really skimpy on the cheese. There was a nice choice of vegetables and the pita was really fresh. I would eat here again. read more

Great Donair. I've decided...there is no "Best in Town" donair shop. Just personal favorites. The question I now ask, on my quest to try them all is simply; "Would I be happy having this as my local shop?" Regarding Top Donair...absolutely! Bright. Clean. Friendly enough staff (only saw one this evening...and it was rush hour". Meat was a little under seasoned, but there was plenty of it in my Super Donair. Juicy meat. Fresh veggies. And enjoyable sweet sauce. With my bottle of water total before tip was ~$12. Consistant enough with competition. Will I be back? Maybe. After I get through them all! read more

These domains are so delicious! The meat has the perfect amount of spice to it, the proportion of sweet sauce is perfect, and the sizes are exceptional to the price. My husband and I have only purchased a regular size cheese donair and we always split it. Given that my husband doesn't like the veggies on his, the fact that the donair is huge enough for us to split & be stuffed after says a lot. I believe we pay about $10.50 with tip for this. WELL WORTH IT!! I hope to try other items on the menu (I haven't checked what there was to be honest) so I can give a more rounded review on the quality of the restaurant collectively. read more

I was on the south side on Saturday and decided to stop at Top Donair for a donair. I have only been to this location about 3 times over the last couple of years and each time I am there the service is slow. I ordered a cheese donair and the guy working there told me to take a seat while he was putting packing pizzas to go. I waited for my order and when I went to pay, I noticed how dirty the debit machine was. It really grossed me out to touch it and to be honest I had a hard time eating my donair after seeing how dirty the machine was. Also the guy cooking the donair looked poorly groomed. The pita bread of the donair was hard like it had been fried in oil and then I noticed how much grease was inside the donair. He must have cooked the donair meat in a lot of oil. Between the dirty debit machine, the disheveled looking guy cooking and my greasy donair I was done. What a waste of $9.00. I will never go back. read more

First time at top donair today. went in and thought i saw the donair meat that some donair shops must get from athena. (Not sure if that the company these shops get the bland meat from or the equipment.) but this shop was very clean very bright upon entering. The staff could be a little more friendly. i ordered a regular combo and thought i would be getting a bland donair. i got my order in a fair amount of time. headed home munch on the fries on the way and they were nicely seasoned. The fries could have stayed in the fryer a little longer. got home and unwrapped the donair. Very good nicely seasoned and had a nice spicy heat to it not to much just right. i will be back again. read more

Close to home and very fresh veggies. I had the Donair and the wife had the Donair Poutine. The cheese was a skimpy on the poutine and there was enough food that we could have shared. The Donair meat was spiced just right and the veggies were fresh. I'm deducting points for cleanliness and service speed. Next time we return it'll be to share a single order. read more

It wasn't the worst food experience but here are the reasons my friends and I are not eating here again: 1) We had to choose our tip amount (15%,20%,25% or $amt) before we could punch in our pins on the debit machine - no option for no tip other than putting in $0 amt. 2) we all ordered vegatables on our donairs and got 1 small shred of lettuce, a scrap of tomato and a bit of onion at the bottom - It was all meat, which i normally wouldn't think too much of but the meat was ORANGE with grease. It was literally in a pool of orange grease. 3) We asked for tap water and my friend received a dirty mug of water that tasted like soap. It wasn't even cleaned properly. We are students but in hindsight, I would have paid $2 bucks for some water in a peace of mind bottle. I do not recommend this place read more

This is the second time I had donairs in my life . I went there in the evening with some friends and it wasn't busy the friendly girl at the cashier was very nice and took my order then what I thought was her husband came out he was in very bad mood like he just woke up. He made me sandwich didn't wash his hands but the taste was ok. The next day I started in the evening feeling sick didnt think of anything till I called my friend who was there with me and he said he had been at the hospital also. It took 30 minutes to get a donair and there were only two customers ahead of me. Also, saw two of the three employees touch money and handle the cash register then touch donairs, disgusting!! Another employee would wear one glove, the same one multiple times which shouldn't be done if you're actually wearing the glove for hygienic reasons, and touching the outside of the glove with the ungloved hand also doesn't make it clean anymore! She also came out of the washroom and "washed" her hand for about 5 seconds, which does not clean anything at all read more

went in to this dump. it took 20 minutes to get a burger, chicken salad , and donair. the plain Jane burger had a dry bun, with a old sawdust patty. the chicken salad I believe was over 10 dollars with had a small portion of over cooked chicken, with brown lettuce not fresh at all. the donair wasnt any good either, the meat wasn't flavorful to me, pita was dry, letuce and tomatoes were far from fresh. we had to run back to work after, not feeling the greatest after this abortion of a meal. read more
