Well, well, well...I have finally tried the famous Versato's. What a Great pie. A deep dish of ingredients pie for sure! The myths of here are not myths. Deeply layered toppings under the cheese. The thickness was wild. Their pepperoni has a nice taste to it. This was the second thing I noticed and really liked. I did order extra cheese and am happy I did. I wonder though what it is like without that and how noticeable of a difference it would be without. Lastly, it is like it's spoke of, and very expensive. But immediately after receiving it, one can see why. No other pizza anywhere will match this pies ingredients and thickness. read more

This pizza is freaking incredible! I have to eat it each time I visit. It's got an insane amount of thinly sliced meat with cheese to match the ratio. The sauce is so good, kind of a tangy with a hint of sweetness. Note, it's pricey but once you pickup the box you can tell it's worth the weight. If you love pizza it's a must try! read more

Looking to see if Edmonton had a *Vern's pizza * and this place came up. I will say almost identical to their menu ( Vern's) . So we gave it a shot well Totally not disappointed! From the amount of toppings to the pizza sauce top their pizza sauce to veggies every remind us of Vern's . Normally we go for the momma Mia in Vern's and it seem the " big one " 7 pounds was it , but not as hungry. So we went with ( Versato special), like a house pizza . The person over the phone was helpful and friendly great customer service. We ask for no onions & they listen ! Got hot wings & they are baked & I am guessing like a franks hot sauce . So not to terrible hot if you can withstand " franks hot sauce ". Their garlic toast was good as well not too overpowering taste of garlic. I don't even need to pepper this review with compliments because it's just so amazing. Just try it! Like you won't be disappointed. We live northside and saw this driving by and it became our NYE dinner. We ordered the Versatos Special (fully loaded). Took hour 1/2 to be delivered but that was expected on NYE. The pizza was hot and delicious and about 2-3inches deep. Will be our new place. read more

Yep... it's a big pizza. No doubt about that lol but it's also delicious. We've lived in the neighbourhood for a while now and always say "oh, we should try Versato's", but for whatever reason it took us a while to actually get there. For our first visit, we went with the Taco Pizza. We got an extra large, but the size down would have been more than enough for our family of 4. The benefit to the extra large is that it is cut into squares - I don't know why, but it just hits different. Service was SO friendly. And considering that we were eating leftovers for two days, the price is definitely worth it. We can't wait to go back. Moral of this story is don't judge a book by its cover. It may look like a little whole in the wall, but you gotta give it a chance! read more

I have been wanting to go here for a while and am so glad I got to drop in today. I haven't tried their thin crust pizza yet but I had a slice of the loaded deep dish. Amazing value, the lunch special was slice and a pop for $6.50! It was delicious and it has been a long time since I have had a piece of deep dish pizza that good. I haven't reviewed Versato's yet??? Completely my fault. I order pizza from here and I'm in a happy food coma for a few days. Ok. So there's 2 levels of pizza offered here. They have the typical and competitive 2 for 1 pizza. Great pizza, fantastic crust, etc.. blah blah blah. That's not the focus. Then they also offer expert level pizza. I'm talking about, stacked? Pizza? Loaded doesn't do it justice. ABSOLUTELY NOT Chicago style pizza, they don't like being called that and for good reason! I mean take a pizza. A great pizza. Then literally double the toppings. Then add a few more, just because you can. (If you're curious, they sell pizza by the slice as well.) If you're hungry, order 1 slice. If you haven't eaten in a week, order 2 slices. I'm actually NOT kidding. Stacked pizza is the only way I can describe Versato's as their specialty. They make THICK pizza. Lol. That's what they can it! Lol. Sorry guys, I just remembered. My favorites are the T-Rex (Meat Lovers) and the Oilers (Deluxe style plus). THICK PIZZA. Amazing quality. Fabulously fresh and cooked to perfection. If you're ordering a THICK pizza, I offer the following advice: 1. Plates. Many plates, if you're sharing. Every slice is heavy with toppings. It will not hold it's shape if you try to eat it like a traditional pizza slice. Just don't try it. Lol. 2. Napkins. Read number 1. 3. Knife and Fork. To be used with number 1. 4. Know your limit. We tried versato's and I feel like we may be missing something but it was absolutely not my favorite and I wanted it to be after reading other reviews. Maybe it comes down to personal preference. We found the meat too much and the flavour was not great. It seems to be enjoyed by others so give it a try and you may enjoy. It was not for us! read more

This place came highly recommended for their pizza. We tried 'The Big One' and boy did it live up to its name. If the pizza is going to be in the box for a bit they recommend requesting to have the pizza 'flipped' so that the grease doesn't soak the box'. It comes literally upside down. Not to worry though, this pizza is stacked and is jammed so tightly in the box that it barely moved. The pizza was pretty darn tasty for a pie with the meat stack an inch high. It took a couple days for my girlfriend and I to get through the beast. If you like your toppings a mile high this is the pizza for you. read more

We called ahead to order and drove 45 minutes to Versato's. When we went got there to pick up our three pizzas, I took them off the counter and almost dropped them immediately. I was NOT expecting them to way as much as a 5 year old! Haha. The pizza is nothing like Chicago's deep dish pizza. It's more like a normal pizza with a TON of toppings on it. It's so good! I wish they delivered or had another location on the south side of Edmonton. We'll continue to support this mom/pop restaurant. And if you're driving home with the pizza, don't forget to flip them upside down so the crust doesn't get soggy! read more

Was one of my favourites for years. Was always on the pricey side but it was made with the best ingredients,quality and quantity. However my most recent purchase I was not impressed.The same pizza I always ordered was substituted with subpar ground beef,it looked and tasted awful.I phoned to see if there's some mistake and was told no that's the new norm. If they ever want to get my business back they will need to keep up on what they were known for.Quality!! I would have rather to have paid a little more and kept enjoying what I always did than having crap meats on my pizza So if you want my business again and don't want to lose others make it right!! read more
