Girl today just stared at me until I asked if she was going to take my dog. Something's different, just not the same as it was. First, the positive. The staff at TDR are extremely nice and really seem to truly love animal. So there's that. Now, the negative. Their prices are incredibly overpriced. Our boarding facility in California: 1. Charges $30 less per day. This is Oklahoma, not California. The prices should be priced accordingly. 2. Has a dedicated play area for each kennel which is considered an indoor/outdoor run. This is open 24/7. 3. The kennel's owner or staff are on the property 24/7. Our issues with TDR is if they really cared about their tenants, they would have staff on duty 24/7 for emergencies. If something happens after 6pm, your pet is screwed. They won't be checked on until 6 the next morning. That is not acceptable in our book. Another issue is our dogs can't hold their urine for 12+ hours and they urinated on their beds. That NEVER happened at our kennel in California. Now, we have to replace 2 expensive dog beds and to top it off, a dog chewed off the corner of their feed container. Our dogs are trained and wouldn't do that. Needless to say, TDR is off of our preferred list of boarding facilities. A sad lesson learned on our part. read more

You know at first when I came here it was warm and inviting. Robert gave me his card with his number on it, told me "if you ever have concerns to call me directly" well I did that and he told me "unfortunately I don't work there no more but I'll reach out and see if someone can help you" I was a little taken back. He was the main reason why I wanted our dog boarded here. But he followed through and they reached out to us and gave us an update. I called him back to ask why he called to help us when he longer works there he said "at first it was about living my dream job and I was kinda losing faith in humanity and these pet parents were amazing and I loved it and then I got very intrigued with every dog like how can I help, what can I do to make this less stressful for them. Now I've been bit 4 times but it have been bit several times before that I connected with the dogs more than the people and trying to learn to manage it just wasn't fitting right with those above me" he told me that the people there are still very well equipped to handle the dogs and I have no reason to trust that because he's been so transparent with me. I was a longtime customer of this facility, but since the recent change in management (Since February 2026), I've noticed a significant decline in both care and professionalism. It used to feel welcoming and personal--staff knew our dogs by name and created a sense of trust. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case. There has been a high amount of staff turnover in a short time, and employees often seem unfamiliar with the dogs in their care. This lack of consistency raises concerns about training and experience. I'm have concerns about: * Unclear amounts of outdoor playtime versus time spent in kennels. On multiple occasions, I've driven by in the middle of a beautiful day and no dogs were outside playing. * Potential safety issues due to limited and inexperienced staffing. How can you take out multiple groups of dogs to play without adequate supervision? Clients aren't paying for dogs to be shut up in a kennel. We're paying for dogs to play and socialize with adequate supervision As stated in the website. * Late openings due to staff not having access or keys. The facility opens at 7:30 am. Since new management took over, employees have been reporting at 7:30. Sometimes later. Some employees arrive on time, but can't get in because the one with the key isn't there. Any business that OPENS their doors at 7:30 am should expect employees or manager to arrive at 7:00 am or earlier to allow for computers to be turned on for check in, check to see who is coming in for the day, lights on, and most importantly check on dogs that are being boarded Since they've been kenneled all night. Overall, these changes have made it difficult to feel confident in the level of care and safety being provided. With the previous staff, level of care, and customer service I would have given them five stars. Now, it's just not the same. I don't recommend. I'm taking my pup elsewhere. read more

If we could give 0 stars, we would. This review pertains to the puppy day school program at Top Dog Ranch though it reflects all corners from staffing to safety to training. Upon enrolling our 18 week old mini aussie into this program, we were not given any direction or what to expect regardless of spending $660 for two weeks (Monday-Friday) "training". Per what the trainer told me during the "complimentary owner training", they only train once in the morning for 30 minutes and once in the afternoon for 30 minutes; to break it down even further the trainer Johanna mentioned that training only lasts for 3-5 minutes at a time (due to short attention spans of young puppies). The rest of the time is spent in "daycare" where the dogs are left to play all day with no training and no adequate supervision. Our pup came home with bad habits and poor hygiene consistently. Commands we had worked on at home were being forgotten while her inclination to bark at people and other dogs increased daily. Some of the poor decisions made among staffing include: failing to answer phone calls or return calls. Training notes left unfinished or non-existent. Not giving schedule/training outline until the beginning of the second week of school having had to ask for it several times. Choosing to not call to conduct a game plan for treat issues (our pup can be picky--instead of asking us to bring more/new treats, the trainer Johanna opted to do nothing and found it humorous during owner training that she could not keep our puppy engaged). Failure to communicate to ensure our puppy ate lunch (front desk told us to give food to daycare specialists and then didn't follow up resulting in our 18 week old puppy not eating from 7am until her PM training--no lunch rendered at all; staff then blamed us for not "being specific" though they even labeled the food/treat containers....absolutely no follow up about why she wouldn't have lunch, this is an easy phone call but again no one answers the phone and no one calls back even if in the best interest for the animal). When we did voice our concerns, we had a trainer act as a manager promising change--that change never came, every single day the issues grew to be more and more out of line. The "complimentary owners training" was not even mentioned until the end of the first week where they caught me at pickup on Wednesday and pushed me for a training session for the next day at 3:30. That training ended after 15 minutes with no real objectives made or carried out. Complete waste of time. Not once did someone mention I would need to bring treats as our puppy was not interested in the ones that I sent her with. Our puppy came home with a leg injury, more than likely happened during outdoor playtime, they allow dogs of all ages to play together with next to no supervision. Furthermore, our fun loving puppy would full body resist going into the building by the beginning of the second week. She did like some of the people there, but the last day that we decided to take her, she started to cry upon arrival in the car and refused to enter the building on her own. We did not complete the two week program due to her response to the facility. Every day our puppy would pee and poop as soon as she was released from her kennel area at Top Dog. Once, she couldn't even make it outdoors, she peed on the floor while I was waiting for her in the pick up line. This was a consistent trend even after asking staff to take better care of her potty breaks. Screenshots in photos are to show just how little the staff cares to give information, to keep in touch, to do the right thing, or to adjust their shortcomings. We are writing this review to URGE other owners to please please please seek training/care elsewhere. This company only cares about payment--only cares about the comfort and convenience of the staff/establishment. We hardly received an apology let alone a refund for this nightmare of an experience. This place used to be awesome, but since Merit was forced out of that amazing facility, it's never been the same. In my opinion, the so-called manager has no idea or background to run a dog based business. She was hired as a secretary and then magically shes on the board making decisions for a business she had no hand in creating. She is taking credit for someone else's years of hardwork and I find that pathetically sad. That place was built with love and hard work. They screwed up my first appointment and tried to make me believe it was my fault instead of just accepting they gave me the wrong information. I agreed to reschedule against my better judgement. I told them how I wanted my dog cut. They did all the things I said not to do. My dog CAME HOME WITH FLEAS!!! He has never in his life had fleas. It was disgusting and frustrating. My doggos love Top Dog Ranch! I have two very energetic boxers and they seem to really enjoy their time here. Today I dropped them off for their third grooming session/play date at this facility, and as always they both came out looking refreshed and not wanting to leave! Every time I pick them up I could tell they had a good time, especially on the car ride home, sleeping through the entire drive (which is rare). You can tell pretty quickly whether or not your dog enjoys certain people/places, but after only the first visit, my fiancé and I knew Top Dog Ranch was a keeper! One of our boxers is especially difficult. She's an older dog and has a tendency to act up when the attention isn't solely on her (because she's the queen of the house). It's always difficult to find doggy day cares/grooming services that she is comfortable with, but it seems like she's happy with the amenities provided here! The employees seem to have a good system in place that allows each dog the attention they need! They're also super accommodating, sending little daily reports with pictures to keep owners updated! It's cute. Overall 9/10. Employees are always upbeat when I drop off the dogs, and they seem to be big animal lovers themselves. I've definitely experienced animal grooming services where the employees were obviously not dog enthusiasts, but not at Top Dog! Their app is also super convenient! read more

They charged me a no show fee. I told them I called that morning and cancelled. The lady at front desk said they had no call. I showed here my cell phone recent call log. She said that does not mean you left a message. The state trusts me with a medicallicsence. The federal government trust me with a DEA prescribing But Top Dog Ranch called me a lier by saying the log did not mean anything. It's not the 50 dollars. It's about the lack of customer service. Sadly, I can no longer give my referral to Top Dog Ranch in Broken Arrow, OK. I have taken my dog to Top Dog Ranch 1-2 times per month, to keep up her socialization skills and provide some stimulation, for the past 18 months or so, as it is close to my home. It was good for the first 9-10 months, then I started noticing injuries here and there. When I began bringing the injuries to their attention, after the 2nd or 3rd time, they just started segregating her and would not communicate the reason why when I continually asked for communication. She still came home with splintered and and broken toenails, which I'm sure is from playing catch and fetch (which she loves to play) in a confined area with wood chip mulch and would run into the chainlink fence fetching the ball. Also, she began barking all the time, which she had never been a barker before that (she was almost 3 yrs old when she began going). I believe that part of the problem is that they use people who know minimal to nothing about dog training and behavior for the daycare. My dog thrived at Spirit Dog Ranch where she went prior to here for a couple of years. The only reason I stopped taking her to Spirit is because it was quite a drive to get her there and then for me to get to work, in addition to the year of road construction that caused time delays, for a 60 minute oneway commute. As it seems to have gotten much worse in the last several months, we will be returning to Spirit Ranch as it is worth the drive to know there are trainers assisting with the daycare and she will be well taken care of, safe and happy (and I will be too!). Additionally, after checkout, they email a few pictures of the morning session, which I've noticed they also use a couple of standard phrases. I first noticed this when she was segregated with pictures of just her and not in group photos with the phrase to descibe her day as seen in the attached copies of two separate visit photos, with comments that they sent, in which she is clearly alone; this has happened a few times. I also want to note, two bright spots are she was always happy to see Erica at the reception desk (who is always welcoming with a smile), and Caitlin who used to be her daycare person. read more

I'm not impressed at all, to put it very mildly. The girl I talked to when I scheduled was nice but after that it wasn't a good experience after that and honestly my worst experience ever with a groomer. First of all, opening the doors BEFORE 7:30 would be extremely beneficial. I was told when I scheduled I would be right in and out but I was there for a total of 10 mins and then had to drive all the way downtown to be at work by 8. Judging by the amount of people in line, they probably think earlier times would be better too. Even just 30 mins! Second, I had NO idea where to go when I got there. I was extremely confused on where I dropped my dog off. Come to find out there's a small sign that says to follow the paws on the floor but obviously it's very easily over looked. I should've been told that when I scheduled as a NEW client. I looked like an idiot just standing there expecting to be greeted like most facilities do. Third, the wait time to check in was a little much. I have a small 20lb dog and there was a huge German Shepard behind us, barking like crazy and scaring my dog. My dog already has a lot of anxiety so being in a new place was scary for her, then add a dog who is 10x bigger, barking at her, it's too much. Fourth, the text message. I got a text that just said "She's ready. Our lobby is closed between 12 and 1". That's it. There is no customer service in that AT ALL. Greet me, say hello, tell me who you are and explain the process. There's none of that with this company and as someone who has worked in customer service my entire career, that is unnecessary. Fifth, when I went to pick my dog up, I waited several minutes before being helped. I rang the bell twice. Nothing. A girl finally came to the window, which again I assumed that's where I picked her up since I dropped her off there but there was no instruction at all, and all she said was "she's on the phone it'll be a minute". Okay.... can you not at least ask who I am and who I'm there to pick up? The girl who checked me out was really nice but made me feel very awkward about leaving a tip and I felt obligated even though I really didn't want to at all. Sixth, I asked at least 4x that my dog get a deshedding treatment because she sheds SO much. I was told she would get it and I was told that she did when we left. When I got her out to my car, I started to pet her and hair was going EVERYWHERE. Literally SO MUCH HAIR. I've never taken her to get a deshedding treatment and had so much hair come off afterwards. She always goes several days without shedding as much so I have a feeling it was not done when that's the main thing I wanted!!!! I REALLY want to support a local business but I'm so disappointed in this experience it's crazy. Overall it was awful and I wish I would've taken her somewhere else. Advice to management would be to train all of your employees on customer service like TODAY. That is the main reason I won't come back and I won't recommend you to anybody either. Word of mouth is huge, especially in Broken Arrow with someone who has lived here their entire life. I wish this wasn't my review and it's really unfortunate. read more

This place left my English Bulldog outside way to long. This is a hotspot that turned into a skin infection. When I picked him up it hadn't even been cleaned at all. It was covered in yellow discharge and blood and the smell was awful. My boxer was covered in hives also. They are both home on meds and recovering. $500 for the week and $400 for the ER visit. Our Grand dog was attacked and had a chunk taken out of his ear while left unsupervised! I have driven by numerous times and have seen 15to 20 big dogs out back running and only one adult is with them! What happens if two dogs get into a fight? Will that one adult be able to break them up? Lots of Little things that shouldn't have happened in past visits have added up to the fact that Top Dog is not what they appear on the outside to be! Look no FURther-Haha. See what I did there? The owner and staff are top notch! We use the doggy daycare several times a week. Best money ever spent! You can actually relax after work without entertaining a ball of energy that was left alone all day. He is actually calmer for several days after. We recently boarded him over Christmas. Usually I am worried sick... and miss half of my vacation wondering how he is. This time, we dropped him and his food off- and I knew he was happy and with his friends. Ohhhh! I almost forgot the daily report cards! Each day they email you a report card describing what all they did... and wait for it.... pictures of your baby! It is such fun.
