Our boarding facility in California: 1. Charges $30 less per day. This is Oklahoma, not California. The prices should be priced accordingly. 2. Has a dedicated play area for each kennel which is considered an indoor/outdoor run. This is open 24/7. 3. The kennel's owner or staff are on the property 24/7. Our issues with TDR is if they really cared about their tenants, they would have staff on duty 24/7 for emergencies. If something happens after 6pm, your pet is screwed. They won't be checked on until 6 the next morning. That is not acceptable in our book. Another issue is our dogs can't hold their urine for 12+ hours and they urinated on their beds. That NEVER happened at our kennel in California. Now, we have to replace 2 expensive dog beds and to top it off, a dog chewed off the corner of their feed container. Our dogs are trained and wouldn't do that. Needless to say, TDR is off of our preferred list of boarding facilities. A sad lesson learned on our part.

She listened to our concerns and even watched a small video we took of our dog. She was concerned and recommended we get an X-ray if we wanted. She was not pushy. She just said we need peace of mind that it's not something else. She was right. Our little guy had bladder stones and one stuck in his urethrae. She called in the surgeon, Dr. Don Schmidt. He rearranged his schedule and got our boy straight in for surgery. We didn't have to take him someplace else or wait another day. That was so nice. He had his appointment at 2pm then surgery shortly afterwards and we had him in our arms by 6:30. I'm so impressed with them. Also, we asked for a refill from a previous vet on some anxiety medicine for him. Dr. Baker was like, no problem. She told us to order it through Chewy since they didn't have it in stock and we needed it quickly for the fireworks coming in a few days. She said she would take care of it on her end and give authorization to Chewy when they called. The only thing I was kind of disappointed about was the tension at the front desk when we checked out. There could have been better customer service there. But overall we were happy with the service and the amount of care from the vets. Update: When we got home a few hours later, our dog was wincing in pain. We gave him some of the meds the doctor gave us but he still winced terribly. We had to take him to the ER and leave him overnight to get a slow drip of pain meds. Update -2 weeks later- Midnight is doing so well. He seems like he has gotten two years knocked off his age. He's getting around like a spring chicken. We went back to get stitches out and the staff was excellent. The front desk staff took time to talk to me about my dogs, and Dr. Baker met with me and discussed what we need to do for Midnight going forward. She wrote it all down for me so I could look over my options. I am very pleased and will return.

Recently saw Dr Webb for my dog. First experience with her and she followed all my recommendations for testing. My dog ended up going to ER the next day and had to be admitted. No one from Good shepherd followed up with me the following week, even though the ER had sent them the hospitalization summary. On Tuesday, I called to tell the front desk my dog had not eaten anything g since at least Sunday, Requesting a vet call me to discuss options. She acted like I had asked her how to fly a plane--totally lost. I called again and spoke with someone at the front desk. This is now 4 days since my dog has not eaten and asked for a vet to call. This is now Thursday and not call from anyone! Very, very disappointing.

I have been taking my GSD's to them because of allergy issues, the dogs not mine. So when my bird Ethyl developed what I thought was an abscess I of course took her to them. We first saw the lump on wed night. I took her to the Dr. On Thursday and was told it was a tumor. Her surgery was scheduled the next day. Because they are such wonderful vets, and they are so good with the patients, they were so busy it took them a while to get to her surgery. When I went to get her, I found out my precious baby had died on the table. They tried so hard to save her but it was just to much for her little body. In less than 24 hours the tumor had grown 20% and there was nothing they could do. I have spent the last three days just crying over our loss.To some she was "just a bird" to us she was the music in this house. I would give them 5 stars because they DO deserve it, but loosing her still hurts so much and I just can not do it.. These vets and their staff are the best, they work hard and they work with you so you can get your pets as healthy and happy as possible...

We have a beautiful black Cairn terrier named Milo. He is a handsome, energetic, bundle of curiosity and life. We took a vacation recently and needed to board him. Aurora's policy is to have all dogs bathed on check-in and they must have current vet records showing up to date immunizations. They offer a bath and grooming package for dogs boarding. We took it and wow. For the first time ever we've had people stop and ask what breed of dog Milo is and how cute he was. Everybody in my family on the day of pick up commented about how fantastic he looked and was acting. He strutted around the house and yard like he was a prime stud dog. Tail straight up and head high, as if he knew how he looked. We laughed out loud. The difference? For the first time ever our Cairn was cut perfectly to the AKC Cairn standard. Not like a short haired rat that was being used as a grooming dummy to train novice grooming students. The facility and kennels were very clean. The workers very professional and informative. Great listeners. One employee, Julie, in conjunction with her AKC judge husband, own the number one ranked champion Saluki in the nation. Their dog won Westminister last year I believe. They understand dogs and have worked with them all her life. For compassionate care, communication, cleanliness, thoroughness, and such a pleasant disposition that only Chick-fil-a employees seem to exude in today's service sector, I give Aurora Kennels/Grooming 5 stars without reservation.

Tip Too K9 had the dog for little over a week. He is part hound so he is stubborn to say the least. He came home better but did not want to really listen. The trainer came back out to their house the next week and worked with him again and worked with my daughter and her husband. Again he did better but not quit well and constant. The trainer came back out and took the dog back to keep and train more for over a week again. All this was included in the original cost. Yes the original cost was not cheap but is is well worth it because they keep working with them. Not tacking on more charges. They help you get true results. They brought the dog back home today and the trainer worked at the house with the dog and my daughter for over an hour. Want quality training, people who love what they are doing, love your baby.
