I scheduled to euphonize a cat, they no one told me they were provisos, so because i didn't have the money to get the cat. Tested to prove that he was sick. They wouldn't euphonize him. Highly recommend this practice for your fur babies! Dr Huckabee and her staff show genuine concern for your pets. We boarded here several times. Our dog was diabetic & blind. I had to actually yell "hello" like their sign said to do and they were right there! Strangest, coldest customer service ever!! Not friendly or helpful in any way!! People come to the vet when they are worried about their animals! They deserve some compassion! I would not recommend. read more

The recently euthanasia performed on our dog was the most horrific display of lack of compassion I have ever seen in the veterinary industry. NEVER USE BENT ARROW FOR GROOMING!! I took my dog in for a BATH and asked them to remove the matted fur. He has some on his tail and elbows. I go to pick him up and the groomer Chris shaved his ENTIRE BODY!!! He said he had deep matted fur all over in his undercoat that you couldn't see, but never called me or confirmed with me that I wanted his entire body shaved. Here's 2 pics of what he normally looks like, to now. It can take a year for him to get his full coat back!!! I am beyond livid!! Chris is refusing to give me a refund! read more

I recently adopted a dog from a local organization who uses this vet. They had done a physical exam of him and had run some blood work and found everything to be normal. When I brought him home I had him checked up at my vet where they discovered he has a grade 4 heart murmur and a rotted front tooth that should've definitely been noted in his paperwork but wasn't. He is also severely overweight and they did check his T4 which was on the low-normal end. My vet put him on a thyroid med to see if that would help with his weight loss as well since the levels were on the lower end of the normal range. Based on the undiagnosed heart murmur alone, I wouldn't recommend this facility. read more

I looked up the number for Bent Arrow online and noticed some of the reviews. Wanted to give our experience with Bent Arrow: FANTASTIC in every way! Dr. Huckabee has been our vet for about 17-years, and our pets always love going there. About 8-months ago while driving through the neighborhood, I hit the brakes (as my passengers were screaming) and discovered a tiny kitten in the street. We got no responses to knocking on doors nor to running ads on the neighborhood website, so we kept him. The staff at Bent Arrow have educated my wife and me in Feline 101 (since we're dog people). They estimated he was about 4-weeks old, made sure he was healthy, got necessary shots, got fixed, etc. They made sure we had everything we needed to help this kitten thrive. Today, he's the poster kitten for "Thriving." Through all these years, we regard the staff at Bent Arrow as "Rock Stars" of the veterinary world! read more

My best friend and roommate Inigo Montoya (we call him Monty) is dying. Dr Huckeby and her staff have been very diligent to find a diagnosis and treatment plan for him. Coordinating with outside specialists and labs. The prognosis is the absolute opposite of what we were praying for. Compassion, empathy and kindness is what we have received during every appointment, phone call and interaction. They are now doing everything possible to give him as many good days before I have to say good bye. In the worst of times God will send angles to hold you up. I have had foster dogs receive excellent care from surgeries and received assistance above and beyond follow up with questions and concerns. PLEASE READ!! I am beyond appalled with this place. I am a rabbit owner and a few weeks back I had caught a domesticated rabbit on the side of the road, she had a large abscess on her face and two on her behind. I brought her in and she looked at my rabbit and said WORD FOR WORD "the most humane thing to do is put her down, we would have to skin her behind" Now most people would trust their vet, I mean that's what they are there for right? I did not take this as an answer, She gave me antibiotics, NO PAIN MEDS despite the insane amount of pain she was in. I immediately took her to my usual vet and they were baffled at the fact that she told me that this rabbits only solution was death. Long story short, the rabbit that was not worth it to this vet ended up going through a surgery with my other vet that only included draining all the accesses, NO "SKINNING" NECESSARY!! we were put on antibiotics and PAIN MEDICATION. And this rabbit, now named Willow, is in absolutely outstanding condition, and the sweetest soul I've ever had the pleasure of taking into my home.. and to think if I had listened to this vet.. she would be dead. Sorry, but what kind of vet is quicker to tell people the only solution is death, before saying they should get another opinion. Biggest mistake I ever made was taking ANY of my rabbits here. A few months back I had another rabbit with an abscess, his name was Jasper, this bunny was my whole world, and she DID skin him (his whole middle part of his body).. and he ended up not being able to handle it.. and he passed away after a month of fighting with half his skin on his body.. at this point I'm convinced that if I took him to my other vet, seeing how they treated Willow, there would never had been any skin removal, and I would have my Jasper.. instead of his ashes in a box. PLEASE.. save your time, save your PET. GO ELSEWHERE!! read more

So my husband and I are new here to the Tulsa area. We just adopted a little 5 month old puppy from ARF, and they recommended this place. I took my puppy and other dog in for a sick visit. The puppy needed a nail trim, and I haven't been able to do it on my own. So I figured I'd let the professionals do it. Makes sense, right? When they brought him out to me when they were done, the poor boy was scared, trembling and still bleeding!! The doctor, Dr Huckabee, did his nails, and almost every single nail was clipped too short. Two of which were cut right down to the nub!! There was blood all over the back of the car, me and I had a blood soaked napkin. When the tech brought my other dog back to me, he said they would get him fixed up and was super apologetic, and tried to take my pup back to get him fixed up, but the poor little boy was so traumatized. The tech said he would get the doctor to come out and fix my bleeding puppy. Rather than having the integrity to come out to my scared and bleeding puppy, she calls me. She was rather blasé about it saying that he wouldn't hold still so she cut a few short. I bluntly corrected her said almost all of them were cut and had been bleeding. Most of them with the exception of one had clotted. If he wouldn't hold still then just don't do it. Don't torture my puppy! The tech came back out to get my scared pupped and had to drag him back in. Let me not forget that my other dog needed his ears plucked, and they were bleeding. With all of the hassle, I wound up going home and using silver nitrate sticks to stop his bleeding. Because of this blatant abuse and extreme lack of professionalism of Dr Huckabee, they only charged me for the abx. I don't have any children, and my dogs are my kids. Don't torture my kids! I'm a nurse and treat all of my patients and their children with such phenomenal care. Dr Huckabee doesn't do the same. She tortured and tore up my puppy's paws. I'll never ever go back here again. The only good and pleasant staff member there is Alex. He consoled me and completely understood why I was upset. We talked about how this place has such great reviews, and I'm so disappointed how the doctor herself would treat my dogs. read more

Dr. Huckabee, the owner of Bent Arrow is the fourth vet I have taken my dog to since I rescued him from the pound almost two years ago. She is the only vet that has been able to correctly diagnosis my lab with IBS. The vet tech, Boston Williams is great. When I call them they immediately get with the vet and get back with me. I also have a chihuahua who is not vet friendly. In the past she always required a muzzle. Dr. Huckabee and Boston completed her exam and gave her all her shots with no muzzle, no biting, and no growling. The prices are very affordable and the service is outstanding. Dr. Huckabee spends time getting to know your pet and you. Best vet and vet tech I have ever had for my dogs. read more

This was the nearest vet to me, so I rushed my dog over in the middle of an epileptic seizure (didn't know that's what it was at the time) it was around 12:30, the person at the vet did not bat an eye when I told her something is VERY wrong with my dog, and she very casually says "the vet won't be back until after 1pm, you can wait", I said is there ANYBODY here who can look at her, a tech, SOMEBODY? There is not a better vet in my opinion. I almost killed my boyfriend's (now husband, he must have forgiven me) dog by giving her a small round bone which she decided to swallow whole! The vet did emergency surgery and saved her life, she spent a week in the vets care and came home as good as new. They always work us in on the same day and are always affordable and professional and loving to our three dogs. I personally will go no where else! read more
