I love that you can choose the doneness of the patty. I went with medium, and it came out perfectly cooked. The bun was soft, buttery, and rich without feeling too greasy, and every ingredient seemed intentional and added something distinct to the burger. It is a very large burger, though, so be prepared for it to get a little messy. There is a restroom where you can wash your hands, but it requires a key, so bringing hand sanitizer or wet wipes may be helpful. Overall, the burgers are definitely on the pricier side, but I thought the quality justified it. I'd happily come back again.

I've always enjoyed A+ Burger. The turkey burger is delicious, which is why this experience was so…read moredisappointing. I order my turkey burger wrapped in lettuce because I don't eat bread. What I don't understand is why I'm charged an additional $2.50 for the lettuce wrap when I'm not even getting the bun. If you're taking something away, what's the justification for adding an extra charge? I could understand a modest upcharge, but $2.50 for a few leaves of lettuce is hard to justify. I can buy an entire head of lettuce for about that price. What bothered me even more was that no one mentioned the charge when I placed my order. It wasn't until I picked up my food and saw the receipt that I realized I had been charged extra. Customers deserve to know about additional charges before they order, not after the fact. When I politely asked why there was a $2.50 charge, the employee simply looked at me and said, "I don't know." There was no explanation, no offer to ask someone else, and no attempt to address a perfectly reasonable question. That level of customer service was just as disappointing as the surprise charge. The burger was excellent, but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. At this point, I don't plan on coming back. Or maybe I'll just bring my own lettuce next time. Better yet, just give me the burger without the bun, and I'll wrap the damn thing myself when I get home.

There is…read moreno line, no anxious choreography of cars jockeying for position, no sense that one has arrived late to one's own life. The parking lot is clean in a way that feels intentional, as if someone cared enough to reset the space overnight. The sun reflects off the windows without accusation. You pull in and feel, briefly, that things might be in order. Inside, the employees smile, and not the trained, defensive smile of obligation, but the open kind that risks sincerity. Juanita greets me as though my arrival matters, asks how my morning is going so far, and waits for the answer. This alone feels almost excessive. Her delight is unguarded, and in it there is a quiet suggestion that work does not have to erase the person doing it. Conversation flows easily, a few seconds of shared presence that asks for nothing more than attention. The space itself hums with brightness. Not sterile, not overproduced, but clean and awake. Tables wiped, floors swept, the air carrying the faint promise of coffee and something savory. It feels like a place prepared for people, not merely for transactions. In a small way, this matters. Then there is the steak egg and cheese bagel sandwich, which deserves more reverence than it usually receives. It arrives warm, substantial, almost improbably generous. The bagel is soft but grounded, the steak rich without being aggressive, the egg folded neatly like a quiet affirmation. Melted cheese binds everything together with a patience that feels practiced. Eating it is not hurried. It invites attention. It rewards it. There is something quietly Eucharistic about the act, though no one announces it as such. Ordinary food, taken seriously, becomes more than fuel. It becomes a moment of gratitude disguised as breakfast. You sit, you eat, you are sustained. Nothing mystical is forced upon you, yet something is given. The sandwich does not transcend its ingredients, but it gathers them into something whole. This McDonald's does not pretend to be salvation. It offers something smaller and more attainable: a morning that works. A place where light fills the room, where people speak kindly, where food tastes like care rather than compromise. You leave unburdened, not because your problems have vanished, but because for a short while the world did not resist you. Driving away, the day feels possible. Not perfect. Possible. And sometimes that is more than enough.

They made a recommendation, but I chose something totally different. I ordered the wings and garlic noodles with a side of brussels sprouts. This place is known for their fried chicken because it's so extra crunchy. They definitely did deliver on the crunch and the flavor. The garlic noodles were very garlic, which is what I liked, and the brussels sprouts were sautéed in a honey glaze. I decided to enjoy my food inside the restaurant as opposed to sitting outside where they have two tables set up. The young lady that took my order was ever so sweet and kind. It's a great location to check out whether you're eating in or getting takeout / delivery. Being a chain, I was looking forward to seeing how the quality of the food compares. First, I tried the onion rings and these are perfectly crispy and well-seasoned. The coating is not thick and still light, which holds onto the onion very well. Next, I tried the hot spicy whole chicken - the half portion. For the price and value, I really enjoyed it! The chicken pieces are all evenly coated in the sauce, which has a balance of both sweetness with a light kick to it. The breading of the chicken is also airy and not heavy at all. Despite the chicken being drenched in the sauce, I did not find the texture to become soggy at all. One pro tip is that if you have leftovers, I recommend popping them into the air fryer so that they remain crispy. I was able to try the wings of fire, which I was really hyped about. I was fully expecting the wings to be on a 'burning' spice level, but I was able to handle it! If you do have a lower spice tolerance, I would recommend using caution if you're trying it but for the spicy food lovers, it's not as extreme as I thought it would be because the sauce was also sweet. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it! Although it is advertised as having 8 wings total, I actually got an extra one so shout out to the workers! This completely exceeded my expectations - as one person, I even had leftovers and was able to make the food stretch into multiple meals. I'm so glad I finally got to try bb.q Chicken and I highly recommend checking it out if you're craving Korean fried chicken!

The POISONOUS ATTITUDE of the staff at this place is probably the worst I've ever seen at a food establishment, and I've eaten at dives in dozens of countries. I bet you get better attitudes in prison cafeterias. I think that the only way management could make their staff''s attitude seem nastier, is if if they were to have them hand the customer their hot dog after each purchase and then kick them in the crotch. I can deal with surly service at cheap food joints, but this place seems to go that extra yard to make sure you leave with a bitter taste in your mouth for the place, even if you are not a drunk out of your mind college student (like most of their customers) but a mild mannered professional such as myself. Their dogs are mediocre to begin with anyway. One time I went in and ordered the frankfurter and it was about half the size of the one I ordered the week before. It looked like they gave me the child's size. Regardless, it wasn't until I encountered the women behind the grill with the nastiest attitude I've ever seen that I decided this place REALLY SUCKS! With this attitude, my guess is that the only reason this place is still in business is their location near the Berkeley campus. Life is too short and there are too many other dirt cheap food options in Berkeley that want your money. I say unless you're a drunk out of your mind college college student, avoid it at all costs! The rest of us adults can spend our hard earned money elsewhere in Berkeley! read more

One thing I noticed on this visit is how generous the portions still are. The burgers are big, the fries come out hot and crispy, and everything feels like it is made to satisfy. The menu has grown over the years too, with more options for different tastes, but the original favorites clearly still shine. The atmosphere has not changed much, which I appreciate. It is casual, a little busy at times, and very much in that classic Berkeley style where the focus is on the food rather than the setting. The staff kept things moving even during a rush, and the overall experience felt smooth. After all these years, it is impressive how consistent Bongo Burger has been. It is not trying to be trendy or reinvent itself. It just keeps doing what it has always done well. For me, that Persian Burger alone is enough reason to keep coming back.

Can't really say much about this place cause they have other Bongo Burgers and the menu was…read moredifferent here. I was looking for the chicken burger but they don't make it at this location. Did not stay since what I was craving was that chicken burger.

As Californians we take pride in defending In-N-Out Burger if we are from California and we run into debates about Whataburger cheeseburgers with people from Texas. The New Yorkers also take pride when it comes to a debate with Californians between Shake Shack versus In-N- -Out Burger even over the lettuce wrap burgers. It feels like debating about regional sports teams. I decided to see what are some current differences. I went to investigate at the Shake Shack Burger in Berkeley. On the last full week of the Summer stroll before the Fall I landed inside Shake Shack in Berkeley. This Shake Shack already has one major difference because it sells Rose the wine alcohol in a can. You can create your own Adult Happy Meal. Another thing I noticed which was different was the ambience and the art work on the walls of Shake Shack. In-N-Out Burger feels and seems almost all the same and uniformed. I also noticed they have its lots of cheesy items on the Shake Shack menu. I got their cheese fries and their cheeseburger it was tasty. The fries were not too salty like some and it was cheesy like many other Shake Shack locations. There was one thing that also stood out was their hot dog with cheese also known as the Cheese Dog. It was a hot dog with a lots of cheese spread on a bun. Not many fast food spots sell hotdogs. I washed down with a Cherry Limeade which was a bit sour. Shake Shack is a worthy opponent of In-N- Out Burger. Come to Shake Shack and have an Adult Happy Meal with "wine"when you "combine" a hotdog or cheeseburger when you indoor "dine" the best burger argument still creates debates "online" The cheeseburger debate is becoming a common "dialogue"you hear among friends and strangers or on a video "blog"Shake Shack has more offerings with its food and drink menu and "catalog" which includes Rose wine and "Cheese Hot Dog"

We finally went without our kids and decided to have a little lunch date after we finished our job. I ordered a lettuce-wrapped burger. The burger patty was juicy and really flavorful. The lettuce was a little too much for me, but it was still really good. I think it was the way I was holding the lettuce that made it feel like too much in the beginning and not enough toward the end of my patty. My husband ordered a regular cheeseburger and onion rings. Those onion rings are what dreams are made of!!! SOOOOO delicious. The onion rings were definitely the star of the show. Crunchy and cooked through on the inside, with the perfect amount of batter. We look forward to our restock trips and pit stops at Shake Shack now!
