I give the new Big Arch burger 2.5 out of 5. Wasn't bad, wasn't great. Maybe a 3 if they did not just put one dot of the sauce in the very middle and didn't spread it around. Sauce is slightly mustardy but ok. I don't think I'm a fan of two 1/4 pound patties, I think I prefer the 1/4 pound like it is .. ketchup mustard onion and pickle. Came here and ordered at the kiosk, it froze, asked for help and the employee said "I don't have time to fix it, I'll take your order" as I was walking to her the kiosk unfroze and I said I would just finish the order there since everything was already done. As I walked back she felt all the need to keep yapping saying "It's not gonna work", "It's gonna happen again", "I'll take your order I don't have time". Shut up. I went and to everyone's surprise, the kiosk worked. So not only was she loud she was also wrong. After we got our food we asked for the bathroom code since there was a keypad on the door handles. Any normal person would assume you'd need a code. She proceeds to yell "ITS OPEN". Maybe she was having a bad day and chose to be miserable and annoying so everyone else can have a bad day as well. I occasionally come to this McDonald's when I find myself in Emeryville, as this is one of the closest locations. There's usually a homeless person hanging around outside, and sometimes some more inside as well. The parking lot is typically sparsely populated and hidden around back, so it does get a bit sketch sometimes when parked and waiting for your food to arrive through curbside delivery. On my last order, my soda cup was strangely only 70% full and there was soda spilled all over the side that they made no attempt to clean up before handing off to me. On the bright side however, none of my orders have come out wrong so far or with missing items. read more

This place has been here since the early 70's I had family and friends work here years ago. But it has changed over the years not just the Menu but the language has too. I go there sometimes because of convenience when in the area. I went there recently and I must share this because there's something wrong at Mickey D's . I ordered a fish and double cheeseburger and fries and Medium HC. Clerk said $16 and some change so I gave her a $50 bill she gave me my change I noticed with my change and my the change back I had 2 20's and a 10 dollar bill. So I asked the clerk for my 50 back for the change. She now don't understand English? I asked her several times until I asked for a manager I waited for some time then a lady came up asking what did I what after her and the clerk spoke to each other in a different language. She ask me can she help me told her the same thing I showed her my receipt and the change clerk gave me and the manager spoke with her again And then gave me back the 50. I waited for 5 more minutes then I got my meal . I got to my car to eat and went for the hot fries 1st and they just smashed up in my fingers! Not hot but warm and still greasy. My HC was small and the double cheeseburger was flat and warm. Now Mickey D you know that something is wrong here. I choose not to go back and complain but I knew it was a language problem there I didn't call corporate because I still wasn't going to waste my time like I did my money. But I guarantee you that I will NEVER GO BACK TO ANOTHER Mickey D again. I will spend the rest of my life letting people know that high prices language problems bad food and bad customer services was the last straw. Never in my wildest imagination did I ever think I was going on Yelp to give a McDonald's a five star review? I haven't eaten McDonald's food in at least five years. But I was leaving a place in Emeryville and heading home, and for some reason the golden arches be beckoned me. It was about 9:30 PM. I went to the drive-in and ordered the big Mac combo meal. When I pulled up to the pick up window, I said to the man "I only have one request, the fries need to be hot." He said they were and handed me the bag. They were! And the Big Mac blew my mind! The burger patties tasted like real beef, and the lettuce was crisp and fresh, so that you could actually taste it. It was under sauced, which was fine with me, because oversaucing a Big Mac could be a disaster. You'll never felt greasy or heavy, and I didn't get a queasy feeling in my stomach as I have in past years. This may have been the best McDonald's experience I've had in 30 years. Oh, and I do want to mention that the young man who took my order was super friendly, professional, but also played it familiar, like he's known me before. read more

Nice remodel. At the first menu stop, this voice from heaven tells you to move to the next menu. The second menu the girl goes "Yi, stupey, whatchu be WA- en." I order an ice cream "sundae". The difference between that an an ice cream cone is a pump and a half of caramel. Then my boyfriend and I had sex in the drive thru. Then I got pregnant, and had a kid in the drive thru. Then we got married, and our kid went to kindergarten and we still had not been served. We actually had a parent teacher meeting in the drive thru. When I got there, the guy Gave me a mess- a sundae with the lid messily placed on top, the stuff hopped over my pants it became a race to save my seats from the mess. Pros: The people working there are mostly very nice and have been there a while, so know what they're doing. Food is what you expect when ordering. Usually when it's busy the second drive-thru lane has been open for me, so no complaints there. Most efficient service of the fast food places around. Cons: They try to hide price increases so you're surprised at the register. Today I was trying to figure out why my $1 sausage biscuit and $1 Coke (with a 23 cent surcharge) ended up being almost $3. Turns out they are no longer selling the sausage biscuit for $1, but are instead selling them for $1.49 with misleading signage. That's the manager's fault, though, not the employees. Some of the people working there in the evening are not as nice as others and ignore you other than taking your money (as in they don't even say the total). I get that McDonald's isn't the best job and I don't even expect a smile really, but if I'm about to give y'all money, it's helpful to know that I'm giving you the amount you are requesting and that I'm paying for the right order. read more

Either she doesn't want to be there or she's mad that she's working there. I don't understand how I ask for jelly and you get upset and slam it in my hand when condiments are supposed to be offered before you leave the drive-through.
