I dropped off my car and I always get a little uneasy at auto shops cause you feel like you're vulnerable but my experience was amazing. I checked in and waited in the lobby. They have free water, snacks and coffee. They came up to me shortly after and said that my sensor wasn't working and there was no pressure on getting it replaced. They said it would cost about $200 to fix and it actually was the price I was expecting if that was the issue. I just didn't want to pay that for a sensor. And the mechanic told me that he doesn't blame me. I asked how much it would be and he said nothing. They even adjusted my tire pressure since some were off due to filling it with air at the gas stations and they aren't the most accurate. I really wasn't expecting this kind of service and would come back to this place in the future for services to my vehicle. Awesome place!

They offer a convenient after-hours drop-off box, a nice waiting area, and a location right off a major beltway. I was also impressed by how clean and well-maintained the parking lot and repair facility were. With over 35 years in business, they clearly have an established presence in the community. My main concern was the cost of diagnostics and repairs. I was quoted approximately $900 for diagnostics and the recommended work, with individual diagnostic charges ranging from about $160-$200 (see attached estimate). After getting additional estimates, I found a local garage that was able to complete ALL the repairs for about the same price as Caton Auto Clinic's original quote. Since my son's car was older, the repair cost was approaching the overall value of the vehicle, so I had to carefully consider whether the expense made sense. I understand that quality service and experienced technicians come at a cost, but I recommend asking for a detailed estimate and clarifying all diagnostic fees upfront before authorizing any work. I also noticed their billboard advertising a $79.99 oil change, which seems like a great deal in today's market! Overall, Caton Auto Clinic has a lot of positives, including friendly customer service, a clean facility, and a convenient location , coffee area . If I had a newer car, I would absolutely consider using them. For an older vehicle, however, I would recommend comparing estimates first to make sure the cost of repairs is worthwhile.

Before I left, the owner went into the shop, came back, and added some type of oil to my car and asked me to return another day for the oil change, which I did a few days later. I barely drive my car, so immediately after the oil change I drove the few minutes home and parked it. Two days later, I needed to pick up my niece from school. As soon as I started driving, the car began shaking, jerking, and driving abnormally. I called the shop to explain what was happening, and instead of offering to inspect the vehicle or asking me to bring it back, I was told to take it to the dealership because they "don't do transmission oil." When I asked if I could bring the car back in for diagnosis, that request was avoided. From there, I ended up spending a significant amount of money trying to figure out what was wrong and repair the vehicle. The dealership later indicated that the oil level was beyond the recommended limit, which can cause mechanical strain and performance issues, and that improper servicing could contribute to serious engine-related problems. I returned to Manik Auto multiple times to try to explain the situation and seek answers, but each time I felt dismissed and not taken seriously. The crew and Siwan work exceptionally hard and there's a constant flow of customer base with a wide variety of brands, makes, and models. There's a ton of pros I can give off but I think the primary one is the fact that Siwan is customer first. Don't want to give all the details but just know he will take care of you because he has a perspective unlike most. There's no perfect experience and the one con I will give is their delegation of workflow. I think if there was an admin assistant to take care of majority of front of house, appointments, paperwork, etc. it would take it to another level than it already is. Siwan seems aware of this and is seeking good help to manage the flow. Nonetheless a great experience again. 5 stars

Afterward, I checked their Yelp reviews and was shocked by how many negative ones they had. That didn't sit right with me, so I decided to get a second quote. I already had a good idea of what was wrong with my car based on past experience. When I called this shop, the difference was immediate. They were professional, respectful, and didn't argue with me or try to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. I specifically looked for negative reviews--and there were none. I dropped my car off early that morning, and they gave me a clear time estimate for when it would be ready. They even sent photos of the issue. While I didn't fully understand what I was looking at, the fact that they were transparent enough to share images--knowing I could easily research them--told me everything I needed to know about their honesty. I don't remember the technician's name, but they took great care of my foreign car, Lexi, and I'm beyond relieved not to be driving around with grinding rotors anymore. I truly appreciate their professionalism and the way they treated me as a customer. Every single mother needs a mechanic she can feel safe with--and I'm so grateful I found one.
