Never again. I've been here a few times in the past year and I keep getting more and more disappointed with this place. Quite a number of times that I've been here the technicians always seem to cut and file my toe nails unevenly. The polish also chips within a day or two, and I don't find this place to be extremely hygienic. Today was the final time I will ever patronize this nail salon. I asked for the "Special Pedicure" (I've included a picture of what it entails). There was nothing SPECIAL about it. The "flower soap" was just the regular Dial soap they use for their regular pedicures, and the sea scrub was again, just a regular cheap scrub. The "hot stone massage" literally was her gliding these dirty stones across my legs for about 5 seconds (I'm not kidding). I also received a callus remover with this pedicure but my feet are still rough at the bottom. Oh! And the real kicker is when she decided to wash and clean the foot scrub in the same water my feet were STILL SOAKING IN! I am so incredibly disappointed! I really wanted to like this place because I'm having a hard time finding a nail salon that I really like in the area. Moreover, this place isn't that cheap and their service and products are subpar to say the least. Moving on!

Incomplete gel removal
CAM M.

Very disappointed with the lack of customer service from this salon I frequent and tip well. I asked for powder removal (soak) & new set along with a pedicure. I asked to be soaked first before being placed in the pedicure chair. First, She was annoyed when asked to cut my nail and I said no. The lady used the machine to buff out my nail, she burns my nail, after I said "ouch" she asks if it's acrylic or powder. I respond powder, she rolls her eyes & continued. After rushing through my pedicure & criticizing my choice of nail color, she does a half ass job removing the rest of the powder. She was very rough taking off the "powder-gel." She was bending my nail without a care. I asked her to please be careful to not break my nail, she responds, my nail is too long. I pulled back & said if you cannot manage my length, please get someone else to help. My nails were a pretty almond shape length. I showed her a picture of the coffin shape which basically a squared almond shape... She said she'll try & takes the opportunity to cut my nail very short, so now the coffin shape is impossible to do. If that wasn't enough to be pissed about (I made it clear I didn't want my nail cut), she abruptly stops servicing me when she asked if I was getting a regular manicure, I said no. She said someone else will do my nails & proceeds to another client. So I'm left with one hand cut very short, the other, still had the foil and acetone, still soaking. So you mean to tell me she couldn't finish taking off the old gel, clean and shape them so they are fully prepared for the person who would provide the color powder service?? That was the last straw I insisted on paying for my pedicure & that's it. They wanted to charge me $3 for gel removal. YEA RIGHT!!! Thank you, I will never return to the salon ever again.

Thick and uneven
Ramona R.

I came here by accident I was trying to go the nail salon down the block and realized it after I sat in the pedicure chair. So the sign outside says 40 for gel mani and pedi...I upgraded my pedi to the "spa" which was 26 and got charged $49... I'm not too impressed. They looked confused when I walked in. I asked for what I wanted they try to up sell you but it's not worth it. I sat down in the pedi char- lady did ok job. Barely cut the cuticles and the paint job was spectacular. I HATE THE RAZOR for callus removal and that's what they do. Ugh my feet feel raw. The gel mani was not exactly what I envisioned. She took off no cuticles. didn't even soak my nails. She took a sander to my nails and the. 3 thick coats of gel polish there's still uneven areas. Not really worth the money especially when they charge more then what is advertised.

So good!! I got a black french uv gel extension manicure, he was super efficient and clean! Turned out so pretty, definitely will be coming again!

Went here for the first time with my daughter for her birthday. We were both pleased. Great manicure and pedicure! We will be back.

I came as a walk in, 2 white girls who came in after me as walk ins that received the same service as me left before me that was already strike one. The woman who did my pedicure did the bare minimum, she didn't massage my feet and only applied hot rocks to one foot, strike two. The owner proceeds to do my nails and doesn't do a good job, they came out cut uneven, lumpy, the cuticles weren't neat, and overall a messy job, she doesn't give me a massage and walks to the register for me to pay. As I pay $42 for the service, I give an $8 tip which was generous considering the service sucked. The owner then looks at me and says I need to give more money for a tip, strike three. I tell her that is to be split among her and the woman that did my pedi. I WILL NOT be returning, my first and last time coming here, for the money I'm paying I can go elsewhere for a better job done. Save yourself the waste of time AND money.

The work was average, they didn't mess up anything but also didn't impress with the price tag. The second time I was there, the lady I talked to was just so plain rude that I had to walk away because of her attitude. The story: I walked into the salon, no one was at the front desk and no one else acknowledged me. I was awkwardly standing there for like 30 seconds. One lady who was working looked at me, stared at me head to toe for 2 seconds, and went back to her work. So I went up to her and asked her how long the wait would be, she responded without even looking at me. The wait was longer than anticipated so I told her I would come back at another time. She did not even respond after that and just totally ignored me! I thought that was rude and turned around. As I was walking towards the door, this lady started GIGGLING with her coworkers speaking in a foreign language! I am not a very picky person when it comes to manicures. Almost every place I have been to does satisfactory job on my nails. They usually follow the standard protocol and the end result is similar. What I will not take from a salon is bad service. You want me to pay to take your attitude? No way. This place deserves 3.5 stars on it's manicures. Its questionable service and professionalism bring it down to 2 stars. I live across the street but I will never come back.

I moved to the area recently and Ive been looking for places to get some services done like a wax…read more I called and the front desk let me know the wax lady was busy doing lashes and I would have to wait an hour or more. So I went home to take care of some things and waited for their call. They called me to come in and I basically said I'll have to get ready to step out since I was in the middle of applying a mask so give me a few minutes. I get there and what I walked into was an unfriendly welcoming from the nail techs, no greeting, no smile, just side eyes as if I was not the type of customer they wanted there. I dont know if its cause I had a hair cap on for my hair mask or because I was the only afro-latina in there. Even the customers were stand offish mind you thats not even the most aesthetic spa in the area. Zen Shu is and they weren't like this not even close. I told them what I was there for and I was told the lady left? 2x. Like what do you mean I spoke to you guys 20 minutes ago and you told me to come in. Then the lady from the front finally comes out says the girl "went to the store", that I will have to wait. Then proceeds to ask if I want to wait???? UH yess! I waited an hour for you to finish a service and I came outside like this, OF COURSE! You would think thats common sense. But no it's because the wax lady which apparently is the only one that does waxes there probably went home. Thats the only reason I can think of. So I waited maybe 5-8 minutes until I left and took my money to Beauty Spa, which is what I should've done in the first place. They were very attentive once I walked in, immediately stopped what they were doing and took care of me. I'm very disappointed in the latin community here, I worked in hospitality/customer service before so I understand the work behind it. But I was certainly not expecting this treatment after being called to come in. I absolutely hate wasting my time and today was a long list of to dos before I travel. They need to improve on their customer service as a whole. I would not be recommending my family or friends here at all. Theres so much better though you might spend a bit more, but care, hospitality and TIME is high on my list.

I made my appointment for 1 pm and when I arrived, the nail tech already had everything set up for me. I believe her name is Allie. To start off my manicure, she dipped my hands in some type of warm wax and then wrapped them in gloves. Next, she started working on my pedicure. The sink was wrapped in plastic for sanitary purposes. Also, she unwrapped a fresh set of tools to use on my feet. In other words, this place is very clean. During my pedicure, I was pleasantly surprised when my nail tech used warm oil and hot stones to massage my feet and calves. It felt sooo relaxing. And she did a great job with polishing my toe nails. Once my pedicure was complete, she went back to working on my manicure. As she worked on my nails, another employee massaged my neck, back, and arms for about 10 minutes. That massage was the icing on the cake for me. I will definitely be calling this nail salon my new home. FIY-Please make sure to bring quarters for meter parking. The area looks like a hot spot for parking tickets.

I would not recommend this salon--and I especially would not recommend Laurie. Laurie is incredibly rude and dismissive the second you ask a question or give feedback about the nails YOU are paying for. I overlooked it several times because I liked the salon and other techs, but my final straw was my WEDDING nails. I specifically asked for a white/ivory shimmer and clarified that I did not want anything pink because Laurie had previously given me a pink base after we discussed white nails. When I questioned the color this time, she showed me the actual powder--and it was PINK, despite the sample looking white/ivory. When I asked what we could do to get closer to the color I actually requested, she literally shrugged and said, "Nothing." I asked if we could at least test one nail. Instead of trying to help, she continued being rude, dismissive, and argumentative. This wasn't an isolated incident. In previous appointments, she's rolled her eyes when I politely pointed out an issue with a nail, refused a simple design even though we ended up having plenty of appointment time left, and disregarded a color request I had explicitly discussed with her. After I finally told her that if she was going to continue being rude, someone else could do my nails, she REFUSED TO FINISH REMOVING THEM. Another technician had to finish taking them off. The receptionist was equally unhelpful and somehow claimed she didn't know how to contact the manager OR when the manager would be available. Four years as a customer, and this is how I was treated while trying to get my WEDDING nails done. Laurie's customer service is atrocious, and the salon's handling of the situation was just as bad. There are far too many nail salons to spend your money somewhere that treats paying customers like they're an inconvenience. I will never be back, and I absolutely would not recommend this salon or Laurie.

The removal process was painful. The technician told me it would hurt, applied remover that burned my eyes, and then used her fingernails to scrape off my extensions. I could feel my natural lashes being pulled out, but when I mentioned it, she insisted they weren't. During the application, I was told to keep my eyes open and look up, which caused my eyes to burn several times. I also asked for a natural look, but the lashes ended up much fuller than I wanted. My biggest concern was the hygiene. I watched the technician touch her hair multiple times while doing my lashes, and she also dipped the same used Q-tip back into the remover bottle after using it around my eye. The technician was friendly, but the hygiene, painful removal, and overall experience mean I won't be returning.

One of the other technicians came and told me to move from the massage chair where I was getting my pedicure. I didn't understand the reason why as my service wasn't done yet. I thought maybe he had to get something from behind the chair. He told me to stand in this other area by the mani tables in between the pedicure chairs. I didn't even get my parrafin yet. So I had to put my shoes back on and move to this area and still was not made aware as to why I was moved. Next thing I know the technician that told me to move put another customer in the seat I was in to begin her pedicure. The staff was running behind and overwhelmed so this other technician made me move to the middle where the mani tables are and I had to sit there for my parrafin. No one else had to do this. I have never experienced anything like this in a nail salon. This is beyond unprofessional. I paid for a service and I should be able to receive my entire service while comfortably seated in the massage chair. I asked the technician that asked me to move his name and he would not tell me. He looked at me in the eyes and just continued walking and sat down to work on the lady's pedicure that he made me move out of my seat for when my service wasn't even done. I found out his name was Logan. He is extremely rude. It was very unprofessional to make me move when my service wasn't completed. It does not make sense to have someone put on their shoes and then take them off to put parrafin on their feet. I was supposed to still be in my session and should have still been able to use the massage chair. The service was rushed. I also noticed that I was not offered any chips while other people were. Also, the steamer that they used was disgusting. There was hair on it and sticky substances. It doesn't take much time to wipe down steamers in between services with disinfectant but I guess that's asking too much for this salon. It it obvious that they are not adhering to health, safety, and hygiene rules, which makes me concerned in general as to which other other health, safety, and hygiene guidelines they are not following or adhering to. On another occasion I witnessed the cleaning lady use a wipe that she used to wipe down the inside of garbage bins by the pedicure stations wipe down the massage chairs. I was very disappointed in my service today, in large part because of my treatment by Logan. I will not be returning because it was not fair or appropriate for me to be treated differently from everyone else while I paid my money for a service as well. I should not be inconvenienced because the salon is running behind or overwhelmed with customers. I made my appointment in advance and when I got there my technician was servicing someone else and I waited. My service was supposed to 90 minutes and it was not. I asked to speak to a manager and they stated the manager was not there. They would not tell me when the manager would be there. They stated they don't know. I asked them to have the manager call me but I doubt they will send the manager the message. I do not appreciate the treatment I received. I used to recommend this place to people but I will never recommend it again to anyone based off my experience today.
