I am in two minds about this place, but here is what happened. This place has taken all the precautions to be Covid safe, and I felt very protected while in the shop. They take your temperature upon walking in, and make you sanitise your hands. Everyone was wearing masks and all seats were separated with clear plastic curtains which I was very impressed by. The woman who did my pedicure was great and the polish was well done, the only annoying thing was that she kept trying to up-sell me on spa packages, callus treatments and massages etc. the manicurist was a different person and the treatment was fine until polish, the colour I wanted was old, dirty and lumpy and there were no new ones, the colour I then chose was a bit better but she just wasn't good at applying it, so I adjusted her a few times and she finally threw in the towel and called another manicurist over who did a very nice job. It felt uncomfortable to sit there while they discussed in Chinese/mandarin what to do with me because I obviously was too difficult to deal with for the first manicurist. But The second manicurist did a great job and I walked away happy all things considered. read more

Never again. I've been here a few times in the past year and I keep getting more and more disappointed with this place. Quite a number of times that I've been here the technicians always seem to cut and file my toe nails unevenly. The polish also chips within a day or two, and I don't find this place to be extremely hygienic. Today was the final time I will ever patronize this nail salon. I asked for the "Special Pedicure" (I've included a picture of what it entails). There was nothing SPECIAL about it. The "flower soap" was just the regular Dial soap they use for their regular pedicures, and the sea scrub was again, just a regular cheap scrub. The "hot stone massage" literally was her gliding these dirty stones across my legs for about 5 seconds (I'm not kidding). I also received a callus remover with this pedicure but my feet are still rough at the bottom. Oh! And the real kicker is when she decided to wash and clean the foot scrub in the same water my feet were STILL SOAKING IN! I am so incredibly disappointed! I really wanted to like this place because I'm having a hard time finding a nail salon that I really like in the area. My first time trying dip powder. I asked for an ombre french manicure, what I received looks more like a half white nail and a half pink nail. It is pretty awful. My friends say my nails look like veneers. I complained because the results looked nothing like the picture I showed them and they did discount the cost of the nails but honestly I am stunned by how amateur my nails look. Very disappointed with the lack of customer service from this salon I frequent and tip well. I asked for powder removal (soak) & new set along with a pedicure. I asked to be soaked first before being placed in the pedicure chair. First, She was annoyed when asked to cut my nail and I said no. The lady used the machine to buff out my nail, she burns my nail, after I said "ouch" she asks if it's acrylic or powder. I respond powder, she rolls her eyes & continued. After rushing through my pedicure & criticizing my choice of nail color, she does a half ass job removing the rest of the powder. She was very rough taking off the "powder-gel." She was bending my nail without a care. I asked her to please be careful to not break my nail, she responds, my nail is too long. I pulled back & said if you cannot manage my length, please get someone else to help. My nails were a pretty almond shape length. I showed her a picture of the coffin shape which basically a squared almond shape... She said she'll try & takes the opportunity to cut my nail very short, so now the coffin shape is impossible to do. If that wasn't enough to be pissed about (I made it clear I didn't want my nail cut), she abruptly stops servicing me when she asked if I was getting a regular manicure, I said no. She said someone else will do my nails & proceeds to another client. So I'm left with one hand cut very short, the other, still had the foil and acetone, still soaking. So you mean to tell me she couldn't finish taking off the old gel, clean and shape them so they are fully prepared for the person who would provide the color powder service?? That was the last straw I insisted on paying for my pedicure & that's it. They wanted to charge me $3 for gel removal. YEA RIGHT!!! Thank you, I will never return to the salon ever again. read more

I came here by accident I was trying to go the nail salon down the block and realized it after I sat in the pedicure chair. So the sign outside says 40 for gel mani and pedi...I upgraded my pedi to the "spa" which was 26 and got charged $49... I'm not too impressed. They looked confused when I walked in. I asked for what I wanted they try to up sell you but it's not worth it. I sat down in the pedi char- lady did ok job. Barely cut the cuticles and the paint job was spectacular. I HATE THE RAZOR for callus removal and that's what they do. Ugh my feet feel raw. The gel mani was not exactly what I envisioned. She took off no cuticles. didn't even soak my nails. She took a sander to my nails and the. 3 thick coats of gel polish there's still uneven areas. Not really worth the money especially when they charge more then what is advertised. read more

I am always happy with the job that they do on my hands and feet and Everyone who works there is lovely. The precautions they are taking for Covid make me feel very secure. I go here exclusively for coco. Out of everyone that has done my nails she has been the best and only constant one. First nail salon I've been to that gives comp massages. However, not all the workers perform the massage at the end of the services. Which I found odd and felt a little offended about. But I didn't complain I just took notes. The area is nice and settle, no ghetto fab ratchetness here. Which makes it a pleasant visit. Also there's no extreme smell of has chemicals. I came as a walk in, 2 white girls who came in after me as walk ins that received the same service as me left before me that was already strike one. The woman who did my pedicure did the bare minimum, she didn't massage my feet and only applied hot rocks to one foot, strike two. The owner proceeds to do my nails and doesn't do a good job, they came out cut uneven, lumpy, the cuticles weren't neat, and overall a messy job, she doesn't give me a massage and walks to the register for me to pay. As I pay $42 for the service, I give an $8 tip which was generous considering the service sucked. The owner then looks at me and says I need to give more money for a tip, strike three. I tell her that is to be split among her and the woman that did my pedi. I WILL NOT be returning, my first and last time coming here, for the money I'm paying I can go elsewhere for a better job done. Save yourself the waste of time AND money. read more

I've been getting my eyebrows waxed here for the past 6-8 months. I used to swear by threading because of the extremely clean look it would give but Helen makes my eyebrows look like they got threaded because she is just that precise! I've also gotten a spa pedicure here once (I usually do my nails at home) and they did a decent job at cleaning up and painting and the hot stones felt great too! I started coming here about 3 months ago every 2-3 weeks for a full set/pedi and overall have enjoyed there services. Its seems there is only one person (Leo) that does full set nails/acrylics, while the rest of the staff do everything else. I stopped coming into this place when I was given an appointment time to do a full set and the only person that does full sets/acrylics (leo) was in the middle of doing another clients nails while going over my appointment time that HE gave, which was 6:30pm. Mind you, I called around 1 pm to get something earlier because I had an event to attend that night and wanted to assure I will be serviced. As I patiently waited for him to finish the client he had taken (because his other staff do not do acrylic nails) it was close to the time that the shop normally closes-7:30 pm. However, my issue was that instead of him letting me know as I sat there that he would not do my nails, so I can go to another location, he waited to finish his client while seeing me wait there to than tell me he wont do my nails because its time to close. I think that was very unprofessional from start to finish. 1.) HE gave me a 6:30 pm appointment and yet decided to take another client during my appointment. 2.) They/HE could have saved me the trouble of sitting there for no reason and tell me he was unable to do my nails so I can go else where for that day. I was FURIOUS because by the time all this occurred most nail salons near me where already closing. I will NEVER return again! read more

Top 2 Nail Salon is very clean. Hygiene is most important to me. So just to let you know, my family and friends frequent this salon quite a bit. We are big on appointments so we don't have to wait or be rushed. All that is missing is a glass of ! Our favorite Techs are Lisa, Co-Co, and Sarah! Lisa gives the BEST massage in my opinion! I can always count on having a few good laugh with ladies who work at Top 2 Nails. The cost is extremely reasonable since I only get a Mani-Pedi. My handsome husband also patronize the salon. He has the prettiest feet EVER and takes great care of them. If Top 2 Nails didn't have it together WE would NOT be customers at this location. I would not use this nail salon unless you want to rip your hair out during your visit there. It took me three hours to get a pedicure and acrylics. After waiting for thirty minutes, I was finally taken for my pedicure. The tub was extremely dirty, as were the tools they used. A lady was eating a full slice of pizza during her pedicure, which I found very disgusting. The pedicure itself turned out okay, so I was pleased with that and decided to stay to get the manicure. I waited another hour before being sat down for my manicure. After complaining, I was told there was only 2 people who did acrylic manicures, so I continued to wait. Even though the lady who was supposed to be doing my nails knew how long I had been waiting, when she finished with the appointment before me she proceeded to give that woman a complimentary 20 minute massage, forcing me to wait even longer. Finally, I got my manicure which was extremely painful, leaving a few of my cuticles bleeding. When I asked for specific things, the manicurist proceeded to speak about me to the other employees, thinking I did not understand what she was saying. Finally, the manicure from hell was over and she gave me a 5 minute complimentary massage, which was also painful as she tugged on my sweatshirt and basically choked me with it. I've been coming here for years and it's the only place that I go to for nails - every 2-3 weeks. Since I am clearly a loyal customer, I am quite happy with the services, especially for the price. Also, I have a hard time scheduling ahead of time so usually just walk in, depending the day and time sometimes I wait, for the most part I'm seen right away. I am obsessed with powder gel manicures. I absolutely love this place and service! They do amazing basic nail work and facial removal. Leo does my nails and I am happy with the job each time. I am not pleased with the pedicures but I am one who is particular with my feet. I like lots of scrubbing and a lot of tending to cuticles, ingrown and shaping. I've been going to Top 2 Nails for 4 or 5 years now. They are the best. I recently moved and still travel to Pelham to go when I need my nails done. The new owner Helen is so sweet and accommodating. She's renovated the inside to make it more modern. They have the best prices is the area. Regular mani/pedi is only $22! They also give you a free massage while your nails are drying (alone worth every penny!). Saturday's are the busiest (understandably so) make an apt or be patient while you wait :) the LONGEST I've ever had to wait was 20 minutes. You won't be disappointed. read more

I've been to almost all of the Pelham nail salons and I like Top 2 the best so far up until today, I even had my acquaintance from Manhattan to come try the salon (that's how much I liked them). I went in for a powder gel and all was going smooth up until the time it came to choose nail length. My nails were long and already had this service done before, I specifically said to the woman to not cut just lightly file my nail. She didn't cut but filed my nails to the skin so I was back to square one after weeks of growing out my nails. They rushed my powder gel which came out mediocre with bumps and dents in the polish. they did a good gob on my acrylic nails and nail art, but didn't follow my instructions on length. they ended up being way to long and I took them off right after I got home. other than that they did a good job with my nails. i would;d recommend going but just make sure to really be specific about what you want. read more

The only pro about this nail salon is you can walk in. No appointments necessary. This place is very unprofessional. There are only two people available to do acrylic which indicates the staff is not fully trained. I also over heard some of the ladies making fun of one of their customers while she was tending to her. They may think customers don't understand when they speak but some do. I sat in disgust as they discussed and laughed about her. Very childish. The workers are rude and unprofessional. Avoid this salon by any means necessary.
