But nonetheless there Linda is putting her nose in everywhere . when I went to pay with my Visa card ( I usually pay with Visa and tip in cash) , Linda shouted over "that will be a dollar more unless you pay in cash" . I was like yeah nobody does that but even if they do that, it should be 3% which should be like 45 cents , and she said, very loudly, "you no like it you can go somewhere else". I know, right? I was overcharged. My cousin booked an appointment for the both us while I was in town visiting. This has been her go to salon for years. I quietly mentioned to my manicurist that I wanted to pay for my cousins nails as well. She yelled out to my cousins manicurist, assuming to mention my intentions in their language. I can't say enough amazing things about this salon. I've tried dozens of nail salons in Westchester, Greenwich, etc. and this is the only place that has ever consistently had my nails looking beautiful every single time. I always get french with dip powder and they very very rarely break or even crack, which has never happened for me at any other salon. During the semester, I genuinely drive 3.5 hours from school every month to come home and get my nails done. The prices are good and the nail techs are so accommodating, efficient, and pay such close attention to detail. I came here wednesday to get my nails done for vacation. It is now friday and two of the nails have broken off. I came in to get the thumb nail fixed and they fixed it free of charge. Not even an hour after i get them done the pointer finger nails comes clean off the middle. I overall had a good experience but the nails don't last and the 2-3 weeks they tell you is more like 2-3 hours. I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. Horrible customer service! I had dip powder manicure done yesterday. I have asked my nail technician Eva to please clean under the nails after she said she was done with my manicure. And she told me it's just powder and grabbed the clippers and started clipping the skin around my nails until they bled! It never happened at other salons I have ever been to! I am very surprised that no one else has taken the time to write reviews for this place. Since places have begun to open back up post quarantine a few months back, Kiwi Nail have put forth a lot of effort in ensuring that the customers feel safe when they enter the salon. Each customer must sign a tracking sheet, for everyone's safety and then have their temperature taken before being seated for services. I think this is essential when you have to spend 45+ minutes in any one place. Your seat is sprayed down with a specialized sanitizer and wiped down before and after each use. Every other chair is used for customers, unless you are going together with another family member/friend, then you can request to be seated together. Overall, Kiwi Nail has done an excellent job in abiding by the rules to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone including themselves. They have consistently done a great job on the nail services throughout the many years that I have been going to them. read more

They also didn't take time with any massaging or salt scrub like most places do on your legs. I need to understand if all places in the US use the waxing technique that was used in this place only patches or I can find something close to European standards which much less painful and very efficient! It is working with wax and tearing the wax from the skin not using the stick and doing patches which is awfully painful and lasts long time and still not efficient as you would have hair even asking for a Brazilian waxing. Horrible pedicure the staff just run through the pedicure . However callus removal doesn't happen the staff just go thru the motion of callus removal. When ask the attendant about callus removal she say, You need to come back. I love getting my nails done and its always a fun treat and experience, that is unless you come here. The guy (I wish I knew his name) did my mani pedi and the entire time I felt as though he'd rather be doing anything but my nails. He rushed through the whole process, went through the motions of the standard massage without actually giving me a massage, and failed to actually fix my nail when I ruined it by mistake. Meanwhile I'm sitting there watching my friend get an full experience with massage included. Pretty much any manicurist I get does a great job and my nails are very flat and its difficult to make them look good. But Ive never been disappointed. I came here for a manicure with ANC. The girl I had was friendly, however, she messed up a nail early on and did not fix it (she left a big clump of powder on the nail). She acted surprised when the nail had a white streak through it when she was done (an hour later). She said she could not fix it now but that I could come back another day. I did not go back so I'm not sure if they would charge to fix it. One week later, the polish on a different nail fell off. ANC usually stays on my nails for at least 2 weeks. read more

I've traveled extensively to 5 star resorts and spas and to be honest none of the manis or pedis I've received at these resorts compare to the services I've received at Kiwi. Try going during the week if you can as Saturdays are very crowded. I use the same nail technician every time, so I make advance appointments with her.
