    Gel manicure
    Jannah S.

I love this place, my nails came out super cute. I love them. I got a pink on pink gel manicure with flowers added.

This is the general view. I had my massage at this photo was taken so it's not as neat as it originally was presented!

HERE'S THE DEAL. I've been there twice, and both times I was quite satisfied. I went for a massage, so I can't speak for the facials and eyelash stuff. I have 5 stars based on the amount I paid and service I received. If I paid $120 for a massage this would NOT be a 5 star deal. Take that as you will. Pros -Affordable ($60 for 1/2 body massage and 1/2 reflexology, and that's including tip of$10. Ask for Package 1) -Location (for me anyway. It's across the street from New Roc City in New Rochelle and Planet Fitness) -Clean (I don't do dirty salons man I'd rather suffer) "Cons" -A wee bit noisy (it's not that bad, they do play the spa-like music) -No private room (hence the noisy. There are wall separators so everything is in one room but you do have privacy) -A wee bit drafty (but nothing too goosebump worthy) -They don't ask you about problem areas, so you're gonna have to tell them what to work on and what to avoid. This almost knocked a star down for me and for me my biggest con, but obviously something you can take initiative on by letting them know. For the price especially, it's actually quite nice. The massages themselves are pretty thorough too (they also added hot coals for me at one point I was like okuurrrrr). Just don't be late and you're good! I called in on Saturday and made a same day appointment!

    Prices on their site

Thoroughly disappointed *Pictures attached Booked through their site and was given the option to choose my manicurist, what service I wanted and the time, so I chose Ellen to do a UV gel full set ($50). I was running late, called to let them know and they were gracious about it and told me it was fine I arrived and was told Ellen wasn't there and also doesn't do nails. I was ok with it and a nice technician began working on my nails after confirming I booked online and what I wanted. While looking for my design, I asked if the price would be the same if I did a solid color but used different colors for each one and was told it would be $80. I asked why so much and was told it's $10 extra, which I wouldn't have minded but the base price had now gone up to $70. They showed me a paper price list and I showed them the prices listed on their website, which was one of the main factors that made me choose their business. They said the site wasn't updated and tried to reach Ellen who didn't answer, and told me I can get acrylic instead or they can take $10 off the new price. *The prices for most services went up by marginal differences but the UV gel tip set went up $30! I explained I didn't want acrylic because it leads to bacteria build up under the nail bed and can cause serious issues with your nails, which is why I selected the package but was told they couldn't do anything about that. As a customer, it shouldn't be my responsibility to double check the prices upon arrival if I was given a quote directly from the business' website. It is the responsibility of the business to ensure that when things like prices, addresses, services offered etc are changed, they are also updated across all platforms and if not, these things are confirmed at the point of booking by phone call or other means, or at the very least, prior to beginning work. I was only told about this change because I had a design question, which means I would have been expected to pay the increased price upon completion of the manicure. I am big on customer service and if I were a business owner, the onus would be on me at that point to take the loss and correct my error to prevent any future misunderstandings. These are the things that create loyal customers. Unfortunately, they lost 1 today. Luckily, I found somewhere else that does it for $40 so it all worked out. Just a warning to be careful when booking here so you don't end up with unexpected fees. The ladies there are lovely though, thus the 2stars, so if money is no object, by all means, go forth and prosper. While this was admittedly not the case for me, I booked with that budget in mind only to have it switch upon arrival, thus my unfavorable review.

I like this place. I've never felt rushed when I get my mani/pedi. The place is clean. They have always been very nice and on time with my appointments; and my nails look good when I leave.

Giving it 2 stars bc of Ellen. She should be careful and and watch what she's doing. I would go back to the store but what would they do? Nothing. So I'd rather leave a review and warn you and share my experience. She ruined the pain when she put the Uber light on one of my toes and blamed me and said I moved when she was being careless about placing the uv lamp. I had to call her out to fix it cuz she jus was going to paint over it and not even fix it it I didn't tell her to. At the end of the pedicure she left my feet dry as hell. I had to tell one of the nail techs if she can give me lotion.

After my Deep Cleansing facial. Extractions only from my nose & chin, didn't attempt to do any other extractions
    Lenissa G.

Came for a Deep Cleansing Facial. The place is clean, but you wouldn't be able to fully relax peacefully due to the open floor plan, (no rooms, just curtains) and bright lights. Not a big issue for me. The issue I have is my expectations of a deep cleansing facial not being met. Ellen did minimal extractions and didn't touch a huge pimple I have (the main reasoning for my visit). When I asked her why she didn't pop the pimple, she replied "No touch" Ok I understand that but what about the black heads i have on my jaw line, forehead, & cheeks. Ellen only did extracts on my nose and chin, and didn't even attempt any extractions any where else. If you are looking for a great face rub with minimal extractions this is your place. In the picture you can see two pimples that weren't touched

I came here one day because I was early for my nail appointment and decided to tame my caterpillars since they've been in hibernation, just growing in a cocoon of my own making, all pandemic long. It was empty, as it was early on a weekday. I came to this location once, years ago, because they also have another location in Yonkers that I frequented and I always loved their work. I never returned after that one time because of a bad experience but I decided to try again because I was sure there would be someone different doing the threading. I'm glad I did. There was only one person working and she took me immediately. I asked her to just clean up my brows and she did it very quickly. You almost think that she's not really taking care to shape your brows because of how quickly she works but I have been here three times so far, and every time I have been lucky enough to have her work on me and I've been happy with the results each time. I will ask her name the next time I go so that I can include it in this review. My brows have been super bushy and I'm not mad at them. I'm kind of happy that the pandemic allowed me to give them a rest and let them grow out because the shape looks way better now, more full and clean, especially after my threading. I have yet to get a tint because I have something at home that I use to tint my own brows and it's more economical but they do offer tinting. I think the next time I go I will also have them do my lip (I don't have a stache) because I love having smooth skin there for makeup application, despite not really wearing makeup much anymore lol Obviously, weekdays in the daytime, they're pretty empty so that's liekly the best time to go. I know evenings they can be very busy but as I said, they work quickly and will give you beautiful results. Beaurify, Kings, Queens and everyone in between XOXO

Once I got there and started the process, I started to second guess my decision to come here. First off, I've gotten my lashes done before and I have never smelled the glue like this time. It scared me that the glue smell was so strong because I've never experienced that before. It smelled like nail glue and also made my eyes burn/tear up A LOT during the process. This could've caused the lashes to fall out sooner but I don't think it would've been as bad as it was. The photo attached shows what fell out the next day! Needles to say, a week went by and I have almost no lashes left. Money down the drain. I don't think I'll be coming back here every though it's conveniently close to me.

Apologies for this being so long! Don't usually write reviews, but my experience here was beyond…read morehorrible so simply have to share. I'm actually mind blown at how badly it went. Most of the story you can tell from the screenshots of my communication with the salon. I've had eyelash extensions done many times before, but this was my first time here. Usually, it's a pretty relaxing experience and I can even nod off, but not here. The tech (and co-owner!) Shanty used her phone the whole time working on my eyelashes - phone calls, FaceTime, and texting (I could tell from the clicking noise as the volume on her phone was on). I was extremely uncomfortable with it as phones are not clean and she did not clean her hands before touching my eyes again. It also was taking up quite a bit of time. I waited till she was done and spoke with her about it. She made excuses that it was related to her kids and she had to take care of it. It's true, part of it was vaguely related to kids, but that was a fraction of it. She was not apologetic whatsoever, but did say she would avoid using her phone next time unless she absolutely had to and said she'd step away in that case. Stupidly, I believed it and signed up for their classic membership that includes the initial application, two refills and removal. On their website it stated it was $200, but I got charged a little over $250 ($230 plus tax). When I got home I took a close look at them and noticed that no extensions were applied to the inner and outer corners or the eyes. It wasn't super obvious, but it bothered me. The lashes started falling out the following morning despite me following all instructions. The problem was that they were falling out in clumps because of the way they were done. Apparently she used "fans" instead of individual strands. So when even two fans fell out you could see a very visible gap already. I knew they were closed on the weekend so I contacted them on Monday regarding my issue and made an appointment for Thursday to get them fixed. It was Shanty again working on me. She was very short from the beginning and again there was no apology even though at this point I was missing at least half of the eyelashes from my left eye. It's been only five days since I got them. I asked her to redo them as fans is not what I asked and payed for and she said that she only had half an hour and all she could do was to patch up where the eyelashes were missing. She did end up working on me for closer to an hour. She still used her phone to text, which she denied later. Again, the volume on the phone was on so it was very obvious when she was texting. At that point I knew that it wasn't a place I wanted to come back to and asked the receptionist for a refund of the rest of my balance. I imagined I'd be charged just for one application and be reimbursed the rest. However, she insisted that I had to be charged $50 for the refill because she spent so much time working on me. I tried to explain that if it was done properly the first time, I wouldn't have to come back again so soon and waste her and my time. However, she kept trying to put the blame on me, that I did something wrong. Out of $250 that I payed, I only got $90 back. The cherry on top was the comment they left about me being a difficult client on the receipt. I wish I never set foot there and now I know I never will again. Let my experience be a cautionary tale for you.

I began coming here by chance and was so extremely happy with the level of detail the nail tech showed. When I initially came in, I had only a picture and an idea of what I wanted. She made my vision come to life and was through, neat and took pride in her work. She was perfect, soft spoken and did not make me feel as though she was trying to upsell. Since that first visit, I've requested her as my tech through their online booking system but was never given an opportunity to work with her again, but once. I started waxing services and every time I would request this particular tech. This is an option on their website so I assumed they kept track. I made an appointment five days in advance and received a call on the day of, requesting that I arrive an hour before my appointment, which would have been an hour after the call I received. I declined. When I got to the salon, I heard another woman telling someone that she was also asked to come in earlier for her appointment because they over-booked. I figured that was a one-off and let it go. The next visit I made my appointment online and requested the tech. When I arrived, I stated that I had an appointment with a specific person and was told to wait in the private room. Someone named Laura did the waxing service. I did not object but I should have. It was not good at all. She was rough when applying the wax. She was not thorough and did not do my entire lower leg. She did my pedi as well and was very aggressive with the upsell, despite my agreeing to an additional 10-minute massage . When I come to the nail salon, I am coming to treat myself and relax, not be pressured to buy more things. On my last visit, I arrived and stated upfront that I had an appointment with the tech. They just had me go into the private room and some other person came in. Again, I went along with it. She was more gentle than the previous uncomfortable wax service I had, although, she did not wax my entire lower leg. Yet another perosn started my pedi and I finally got fed up and said that I made my appointment with a different nail tech. The tech in question heard me say this (she was doing a pedicure on a woman at the next station) and looked up. Someone came up to me and said that I would need to call to request a specific tech. I stated that this was the thirs time and no one ever told me this before. The tech doing my pedi must have been new because she missed steps. I initially wanted gel but changed my mind and got a regular pedi because I was not about to spend more money on a service and not be happy with the results. At the end of my appointment, they pressured me to give more of a tip then I deemed appropriate. Like, who does that? A tip is an added gesture, based upon the kind of service provided. If you have to be reminded to do steps of a service, or you fail to provide all of the steps of a service, why would you think you're deserving of extra money? Yesterday I attempted to call in for my next appointment, as suggested. The person who answered was having a hard time hearing me, I assume. I was literally screaming into my phone, asking for a pedi, underarm and leg wax, for the following week. I requested the tech I am comfortable with, and was told she does not do pedicures. Remember, she has done my pedi before, and she was doing a pedi on a woman next to me, during my last visit. I found this odd but let it go. She confirmed my appointment and then I asked who would be doing the waxing. She did not even listen to me. She asked if I wanted to add on the waxing. I told her I said that from the beginning. She confirmed and I again asked who would be doing it, mainly because I did not want that same person that caused me unnecessary pain when she was applying the wax. The woman obviously did not understand me. She had an attitude during the entire phone call and told me she doesn't know who would do it. That's when I got frustrated and just told her to cancel the whole thing and that I will schedule the appointment myself, on their website. Side note: I'm not making another appointment. As you all know based upon my reviews, I love consistency. Consistency is the key to happy, repeat customers. I expect the same treatment on day 1 as on day 101. I don't ask for much. I just want the service I'm paying for and to be treated with dignity, respect and care. Obviously, there needs to be flexibility on both sides but I gave them multiple chances to make it right and this just isn't it. I told so many people about this salon based on my first could of visits but I've had more bad visits than good so now it's time to part ways. Currently looking for a new waxing spot, preferably with bomb nail services in the Northeast Bronx/Southern Westchester areas. Please DM me with any suggestions. I tip very well if the services are on point.

It was a very cold and unsettling experience. The salon is dark and dingy, and just does not seem clean. The instruments were all thrown in a metal dish with no sanitary wrappers. It looks like they are used and re-used on every client without being sterilized. In this age, with so many transmissible diseases, that's an outright disgrace. The pad where you place your hands was stained and dirty-looking. The manicurist placed a paper towel over the stains. The emery board was old and nasty looking, as was the little finishing sponge. As far as the manicure itself, my cuticles were not soaked in warm water, and they were not pushed back properly or managed, so the polish starts FAR from the base of the nails. It looks like I had this manicure done a week ago, and the nails have grown forward. Also, some of the nails were filed round, while others were filed square. It was $17 for a plain manicure. I gave the woman a $5 tip - only because I am a generous tipper, and I thought the remainder of the manicure would improve. It did not. There was no neck massage, no thank you, no goodbye - nothing. That's a wrap for me - never again!
