I think I found my new nail spot! I've been coming here for almost a year now and I have been pretty happy with my results. I did recently get a gel set ahead of a tropical holiday and the set began to crack after one week. When I went back to the salon, they repaired two nails for free. I was surprised because sometimes that is not a courtesy that is extended. The tech that corrected my nails refused any money from me. She was very nice. I insisted that she at least take a tip for the time that she spent doing my nails. I brought my daughter here for her first real nail experience and she had a great time. I went there to get tips and acrylic with Jess, we were at the point where she was cutting the tips and I said I want them. She did not listen. She did whatever she wanted, including the shape, the color and the length. They look so bad because the shape that I wanted, which was like almond and silhouette doesn't look good with the tiny size that they are. She told me that they are too long meanwhile, I am paying for her to do my service. They are so rude there. I do not recommend whatsoever.. read more

Appointment was request for Jess, who I specifically asked for. I specifically asked for yellow and tangerine was put on my nails. I was told by owner, Jess it was going to change to yellow. It changed to dark brown, no where near the color on bottle and was told, she could not be changed when job was finish when I continually said I want yellow. I had my own fingernail polish as usual, but use it for my pedicure. My pedicure I don't use gel but I do with my fingers because I get the mood color. I was tooooo upset to have it changed. I was fuming and knew it was not going to be a pleasant atmosphere if I stayed longer and she didn't go down on price because of her stupid mistake. I went to get a gel manicure and gel pedicure, she did not clean under my nails, she did not cut my cuticles at all. There was no nail prep there was gel on my skin and also she cut me with the drill twice all of my nails have a different length and size, and they are very bulky. My toes are missing gel on the tip of the nail. I am very disappointed with how my nails turned out. Will definitely not return again! read more

6-20-2022.  I had an 11:30 am appointment today, under the name Mimi. I arrived there at 11:29 am.  I sat down, thinking it would be about a 5-7 minute wait ... based on the fact that the 3 (only!) technicians were doing other customers' nails.  Well ... after sitting for 20 minutes AND ASKING TWICE why I had to wait since I had an appointment, the owner, Jess finally responded, and said harshly "you wait, we are very busy! ... I got right up and left!! I had been a customer there for 16 years and I always paid and tipped generously. I will never, ever go back!! I then went straight up the street to Top 2 nail salon ... (it's ALWAYS busy there, and today it was staffed with 6 technicians) After a short 10 minute wait, I got a gel manicure, a pedicure and my eyebrows waxed. Yay! Very unpleased with my service and treatment at Jess. I had gotten a gel mani and within 1 day my mail was peeling and within 2 days a few nails were peeling. I went to Jess to have them fixed she had me come back later in the day which I did. Jess then pretended to not understand me and stated she doesn't understand and that I am talking too much. She continued to talk to me aggressively in front of her customers. I was finally serviced , was given a rushed job and still the nails peeled within ONE DAY. I have been warned about her attitude but I now experienced it. I was giving Jess another chance after my last gel set was poorly done and chipped/peeled within days. The other workers do not do good work and make the acrylic nails very bulky. read more

I came in yesterday for a gel manicure & gel pedicure. I've been here once before for just a mani and it was fine, but this time was a nightmare. I picked a Shellac color. The lady sat me down in the pedicure chair and then dug around for several minutes before telling me that they didn't have the color I wanted but showing me a similar a color from another brand I'd never heard of. I just responded "it's not shellac?" and she said no but it was close in color and just went ahead with it. I didn't protest so that's my own fault. This is where it gets really bad. About five minutes into the pedicure, a second woman comes over and decides to soak the old gel polish off my nails. I was fine with this being done in the pedicure chair (although it does take away from some of the relaxation...). But then after a couple minutes of soaking she grabs my hands, twists my body and arms to the side of the chair while my feet are still being worked on and starts filing away at the half soaked off polish. They are now giving me both a pedicure and a manicure at the same time and it's really uncomfortable. I'm twisting my back to the side to give the one woman access to both hands and trying to keep my legs straight and they're both chastising me for not staying still. The woman doing my hands notices that I'm clearly not comfortable in this position and says it to me, "Oh this is uncomfortable like this?" I responded "Yes, it's very hard to twist my back like this. It hurts." and she said,I quote "I see but saves times. better for me, better for you." No ma'am. I came in for a relaxing mani pedi, not a rush job that gives me a broken back the next day. In addition to this, the woman doing my feet has now put on the first coat of polish but had plugged in a BROKEN UV drying lamp and was digging around for another one while the polish just sat there. While giving me a pedicure, she asks if I want something added in to the pedicure. It's not listed on the menu as an extra price or posted anywhere and when I said yes to the service (assuming it was just another thing she was asking like if I wanted filed rounded or square), she just went ahead and did it, without letting me know it would be an extra charge. I get to the front and the bill is $58. I try to pay with card and she straight up tells me with card that it's an extra $5 for tax. Ok, thanks for letting me know you're SCAMMING THE GOVERNMENT AND NOT PAYING TAXES. I tip a little over 10%, $6. They did the job but it was a terrible experience - the tip felt fair. Then the lady shamed me for not tipping better IN FRONT OF THE OTHER CUSTOMERS. She said "only $6 for both of us?" and i said "yes, it was very uncomfortable." and she just looked at me with disgust and said "just 6 for both.... tsk tsk" I didn't even ask for it to be two people! I would have preferred one person doing them separately!! Why should I tip more for this? 10% is more than fair for a TERRIBLE JOB. All in all, the people who work here seem really focused on themselves and not on giving anyone a spa treatment. It was a bad experience and I wish I didn't tip at all now. read more

Did not honor free manicure after 10 paid. Been going for years usually manicure cost 40. After present my card nail tech said free, owner Jessica said cost of regular manicure 8.00 is free. She deducted 8.00 from my usual price of 40. Additionally , all of the nail techs, including owner have loud conversations while attending to clients. When I called them at 645 on a Sunday night to see if they were still open, they officially closed at 630 but were happy to take me. This way great! That said it smells like strong chemicals so isn't the most relaxing and the staff speaks loudly to each other the entire time. Pedicure was amazing and decently priced. Used the frequent this salon a lot but then my work schedule changed and I hadn't gone in a while, I finally went in after a few months of not going and I used to always have Jess, Annie or Leah do my nails but instead that day, I was made wait, while the white ladies that came in after me got taken care of before me when neither of us had a appointment, and to make things worse I got that young man and he was so rough on my cuticles, did a terrible job with my gel it was thick and uneven, peeled off within 2 days. Ive been here many many times for Shellac Manicures and everyone i go again i get so upset with myself for returning! Shellac manicures cost way more then a regular manicure so i expect the same service..example being my cuticles cut! they never cut my cuticles, they have an attitude about the colors i want to use for my French Manicure, and they rush the drying lamp which means my nails crack! disappointing! they are only good for a basic mani/pedi. read more

I enjoy going here from time to time, especially for spa pedicures, the ambiance is very quiet and relaxing. I have been to other nail salons in the Pelham area and did not like it at all, however Jess Nails makes you feel welcomed and although it is better to call to make appointments, if you call ahead of time and ask if they are busy they will honestly let you know. I called one time to asked if they were busy and she told me to come in right now. I got there in less than 20 mins and they took me right away. It is best to go when it's not too busy because it can get a bit loud when it's crowded so if you're a person who enjoys peace, call ahead of time. It is clean and the ladies also give very good massages while you're drying. If there is any nail salon in Pelham I recommend, it's this one. I wish they were able to do holographic and other fashionable trends but for a simple mani and pedi this is the place to go. read more

Best manicure and pedicure ever! I received a gift certificate to "Jessie's Nails" at this location and found the sign out front said "Pelham Nails". It's under new ownership (Jessie is the new owner) and, after seeing these reviews felt I should let everyone know. The ladies there couldn't be nicer, it's bright, airy, clean, calm.... My gel nails and "regular" pedicure were still perfect after almost four weeks! Someone massages your back and neck the entire time you get your manicure and for some time afterwards! Heaven!!
