Reading the reviews and seeing the "hidden gem" It's true. It is a hidden gem nail salon. I'm in here now typing this as I dry my toes. Nonetheless it was a great find. I got my pedicure done as normal- and a gel mani. They have opi gel colors and I love that because opi matches their regular polish way better than the other brands. So pedi was great, had a scrub, hot stone massage. Reyna did both my mani and pedi and she was great. They give you little paper slippers to walk around in. Reyna moved towards my gel mani and it came out perfect! My nails were brittle and ugly from ripping off the gel mani prior but she made them look flawless and the coasts were even and precise. She took her time and made sure the gel polish was even and my cuticles are so clean too! Gel mani was 20 and pedi was 22. Nonetheless worth it. I'll definitely be back! read more

HORRIBLE!!! (Ill give context down below) I called before hand asked if they accept walk In and they said yes. I asked in the call if they provide simple acrylic on nail they said yes. Great, I go in and proceed to explain I wanted the builder gel removed from my hands and get acrylic. I explained it was my first time trying the builder gel a week prior and it didn't last in my nails. They said they would take care of it. I explained I wanted acrylic on toes as well. They sit me down on the pedicure chairs to start my toes. I see the lady takes out the builder gel and immediately tell her I asked for acrylic. She says that IS acrylic, mind you it says builder gel. It is not acrylic and I know that for a fact because I go to school for nails. She keeps gaslighting me saying it's acrylic I told her it is not, she says for her it is. I tell her FOR YOU, but in real life ITS NOT. Acrylic is what you use with monomer... she proceeds to tell me it will last and it's better I'm like alright let's see, she proceeds and she clearly is panicking while doing my toes because she doesn't know what she's doing, asking another two other ladies for help the whole time. She tells me she would do acrylic on my hands too btw. The lady is being super rude and demanding with a Hispanic worker there. Telling her what to do in a bad tone and bad demeanor. Another red flag. When she's filing the builder gel on toes it keep chipping off, breaking, flying. She fixed had to keep re doing it (about 4 times) when it chipped again I told her I'm not satisfied I just rather go home. She tells me she doesn't work with acrylic because it causes her a headache, like then why tell me u work with it???? I tell her I'm not trying to be mean I'm usually never a complainer but man was this a mess. It looked horrible , not what I wanted, and why tell me u have a specific material IF YOU DONT?? I now had horrible unfinished toes, no color no nothing just some bad done builder gel, nothing applied on fingers on my hand. She proceeds to argue that I wasted her time. Made me pay 60 for me to be able to leave. HORRIBLE. she then tells me I should come back when the person who does toes comes in for work, like if u didn't know, or didn't do toes why proceed with me??? I had to leave and get my nails done somewhere else. I would NEVER go back. read more

I've been coming here for years and you would think that loyalty matters but no and every time I come I'm disappointed. The work is not consistent, it's a hit or miss and they keep raising the prices. The workers all have attitude and it's a problem when you ask them to fix their sloppy work. All the polishes are all watered down so it chips or bubbles right away. I'm so embarrassed I brought my friend here yesterday and they charged her to take off gel (he used the tool no soak) and they had her seated 2 seats away from me in an empty salon. The lady was applying my nail polish way too thick and I told her she just ignored me. We dried our nails for 30 mins and when I got up, it chip then they had the nerve to try to paint over it. I'm tired of the half ass jobs and attitude when your clearly paying for a service. Take your money somewhere where it will be valued! read more

The boss sent the girl to do my pedicure but then refused to do my manicure because she said I didn't have an appointment for that. Meanwhile she took other people that arrived after I did but I saw the difference: they were all getting much more expensive nail jobs than I was. I very rarely write reviews on Yelp, but this place is AMAZING. I went in at around 4:30 on Sunday, and was immediately seen for a pedicure. Their basic pedicure starts at $25, which seems to be about the going rate around New Rochelle. I opted for the Mud Pedicure, which was a $10 upgrade. This upgrade had a mud mask for your legs and a ten minute massage added in. My technician was absolutely wonderful and paid plenty of attention to detail, and I was in the chair for about 40 minutes, which is exactly the amount of time I generally want to be there. Massage chair was great, and the hot stone at the end was to die for. However, the real standout here was the chair massage I got at the end by the male technician. Oh. My. God. I've had back problems as long as I can remember, but hate constantly forking over $50 at once for a halfway decent massage that doesn't really fix it--just puts a band-aid on things. I swear, this man was able to find every single knot in my back and alleviate it quite a bit. The massage was very pressure intensive and kind of hurt, but in the best way possible--I knew he was getting some super stubborn knots out. At only a dollar per minute, I'm planning to start going once a week for a 20 minute massage. Absolutely amazing. read more

Best Mani and Pedi in town and great prices. I have been trying out the gel color and gel french manicure and it has lasted as long as 3-4 weeks and NO chip! Love Jinny's! Everything they use is very clean. All of the staff are personable and kind. I've been several times and I've had the same experience each time. I never have to wait longer than 5-10 minutes to drop in. If there are several customers ahead of me, staff are honest about the wait and may recommend coming another day. But I always figure it's for my own good, I prefer the honesty. If you're particular about wait times, they do schedule appointments. Ask for Miriam, she gives great attention to detail and she's extremely thorough (but still quick!). The prices are very good $20 for a gel mani that lasts past the usual two weeks. Annoying that I have to choose one star because I would give this place no stars. This was my first and last time here. I get my nails done Every month and a half.... I always get powder.... I received a gift certificate for my bday to get my nails done here..... The staff was very nice.... but the services were not acceptable for the money that is charged for powder! My other place that does my nails lasts almost 2 months... this place less then 2 weeks!!! I went in to show them what a poor job they give and they said they would fix it .... Maybe there is a prejudice here where as I'm 6'4 230pds and darker skinned in complexion tone. I walked in and was greeted, told them i wanted a fill and gel nails, but then just stood there when no one said anything after. when i was asked if i wanted a pedi and declined, they lady immediately turned back around and ignored me. I was referred to Jinnys by a friend who is a regular so I made an appointment almost 1 week in advance for 2 people at the same time. When we got there, they hadn't written down the appointment so the person we requested was not able to do both of us! Our pedicure was very well done but our gel manicures came out terrible!! They chipped within 3 days!! I have a desk job so there's no reason why my gel manicure chips in 3 days! While the pedicure was great, I may need to give them one more try at a gel mani. read more
