Reading the reviews and seeing the "hidden gem" It's true. It is a hidden gem nail salon. I'm in here now typing this as I dry my toes. Nonetheless it was a great find. I got my pedicure done as normal- and a gel mani. They have opi gel colors and I love that because opi matches their regular polish way better than the other brands. So pedi was great, had a scrub, hot stone massage. Reyna did both my mani and pedi and she was great. They give you little paper slippers to walk around in. Reyna moved towards my gel mani and it came out perfect! My nails were brittle and ugly from ripping off the gel mani prior but she made them look flawless and the coasts were even and precise. She took her time and made sure the gel polish was even and my cuticles are so clean too! Gel mani was 20 and pedi was 22. Nonetheless worth it. I'll definitely be back! read more

Today I went to get a spa pedicure. The ladies like always did an amazing job. Absolutely no complaint about the service itself. BUT ! the TWENTY DOLLARS EXTRA for GEL POLISH WAS WILD!!!!!! I can understand increase in prices for example the pedi going from 55-60 to 67. However back when the pedi was a lower price the polish was included, which is why I didn't put much thought the price increase. I went to pay and was told the gel polish ALONE was TWENTY DOLLARS. The new owner says the price was posted however I can't say where and or how big the posting of this price hike was as I didn't clearly see it anywhere while I sat getting my pedicure done. So unless u want your service to cost u an extra 20 bucks stick to regular polish and make sure u ask pricing !!!! read more

HORRIBLE!!! (Ill give context down below) I called before hand asked if they accept walk In and they said yes. I asked in the call if they provide simple acrylic on nail they said yes. Great, I go in and proceed to explain I wanted the builder gel removed from my hands and get acrylic. I explained it was my first time trying the builder gel a week prior and it didn't last in my nails. They said they would take care of it. I explained I wanted acrylic on toes as well. They sit me down on the pedicure chairs to start my toes. I see the lady takes out the builder gel and immediately tell her I asked for acrylic. She says that IS acrylic, mind you it says builder gel. It is not acrylic and I know that for a fact because I go to school for nails. She keeps gaslighting me saying it's acrylic I told her it is not, she says for her it is. I tell her FOR YOU, but in real life ITS NOT. Acrylic is what you use with monomer... she proceeds to tell me it will last and it's better I'm like alright let's see, she proceeds and she clearly is panicking while doing my toes because she doesn't know what she's doing, asking another two other ladies for help the whole time. She tells me she would do acrylic on my hands too btw. The lady is being super rude and demanding with a Hispanic worker there. Telling her what to do in a bad tone and bad demeanor. Another red flag. When she's filing the builder gel on toes it keep chipping off, breaking, flying. She fixed had to keep re doing it (about 4 times) when it chipped again I told her I'm not satisfied I just rather go home. She tells me she doesn't work with acrylic because it causes her a headache, like then why tell me u work with it???? I tell her I'm not trying to be mean I'm usually never a complainer but man was this a mess. It looked horrible , not what I wanted, and why tell me u have a specific material IF YOU DONT?? I now had horrible unfinished toes, no color no nothing just some bad done builder gel, nothing applied on fingers on my hand. She proceeds to argue that I wasted her time. Made me pay 60 for me to be able to leave. HORRIBLE. she then tells me I should come back when the person who does toes comes in for work, like if u didn't know, or didn't do toes why proceed with me??? I had to leave and get my nails done somewhere else. I would NEVER go back. read more

The best service a nail salon can offer. They are under new management so expect a huge positive change. Super clean and friendly. Pedicures are top notch with meticulous details. I love it here read more

I literally love this place! I come here to get my toes done once a month. Everyone is so nice and I just love the clean environment.

Great pedicure with Rose. Decent full sculpt with Yung. Nails don't look like what I asked for but also don't look horrible. Thumb and pinky on left hand crooked but she said it was my fingers that were crooked, that's a new one. Never had crooked nails or fingers. Everyone is nice. Full set & pedi came out to $107 and don't love nails. This was a referral prob won't get hands done there again. read more

I've been coming here for years and you would think that loyalty matters but no and every time I come I'm disappointed. The work is not consistent, it's a hit or miss and they keep raising the prices. The workers all have attitude and it's a problem when you ask them to fix their sloppy work. All the polishes are all watered down so it chips or bubbles right away. I'm so embarrassed I brought my friend here yesterday and they charged her to take off gel (he used the tool no soak) and they had her seated 2 seats away from me in an empty salon. The lady was applying my nail polish way too thick and I told her she just ignored me. We dried our nails for 30 mins and when I got up, it chip then they had the nerve to try to paint over it. I'm tired of the half ass jobs and attitude when your clearly paying for a service. Take your money somewhere where it will be valued! read more

I love this place. They provide the best pedicures in town. I actually drive from PA to get my pedicures done here.

Horrible experience!! I made an appointment for 1:00 PM & waited 30 minutes to be attended to. I shouldn't have to make an appointment if I have to wait 30 minutes; it does not make sense. They should only accept walk-ins if that's the case. The worker had a terrible attitude--horrible customer service. I will never spend my money there again!! read more

Horrible!!!! They don't follow directions, horrible pedicure service and I was OVERCHARGED. Wrong color nails, poor pedicure. The only thing that went right was my wax job read more

While not fancy, Jinny's Nails does a good job. It's really inexpensive, but I have never had a bad experience. While not the most welcoming spot at times, they are efficient and do a decent job. They honor appointments, have reasonable hours and of course take walk ins. This is my go to place in the area. read more

I Waited over 40 minutes for an appointment for a pedicure and a manicure. The boss sent the girl to do my pedicure but then refused to do my manicure because she said I didn't have an appointment for that. Meanwhile she took other people that arrived after I did but I saw the difference: they were all getting much more expensive nail jobs than I was. Jinny throws you to the curve once clients come in that are going to get much more sophisticated nail jobs. read more

Loved my powder gel mani. The guy who did my nails really did a great job! But one week later and this is my nails? Unacceptable. 3 stars bc the initial was great, but so unhappy that my nails look like this a week later. Nail polish came off clean! And the rest are looking like they're ready to come up as well. read more

I very rarely write reviews on Yelp, but this place is AMAZING. I went in at around 4:30 on Sunday, and was immediately seen for a pedicure. Their basic pedicure starts at $25, which seems to be about the going rate around New Rochelle. I opted for the Mud Pedicure, which was a $10 upgrade. This upgrade had a mud mask for your legs and a ten minute massage added in. My technician was absolutely wonderful and paid plenty of attention to detail, and I was in the chair for about 40 minutes, which is exactly the amount of time I generally want to be there. Massage chair was great, and the hot stone at the end was to die for. However, the real standout here was the chair massage I got at the end by the male technician. Oh. My. God. I've had back problems as long as I can remember, but hate constantly forking over $50 at once for a halfway decent massage that doesn't really fix it--just puts a band-aid on things. I swear, this man was able to find every single knot in my back and alleviate it quite a bit. The massage was very pressure intensive and kind of hurt, but in the best way possible--I knew he was getting some super stubborn knots out. At only a dollar per minute, I'm planning to start going once a week for a 20 minute massage. Absolutely amazing. read more

Best Mani and Pedi in town and great prices. I have been trying out the gel color and gel french manicure and it has lasted as long as 3-4 weeks and NO chip! The staff is always friendly, attention to detail, wait time is short, and place is clean. My nails always stay fresh and beautiful for weeks. Their prices are great and they always do a great job. I'd never go anywhere else again. Highly recommended! read more

It's okay if you go to the right person. It's really hit or miss. Bad shape. Weak staff. Only come here if you need a pedicure last minute. I'd never get a manicure here ever again in the universe. Can't shape nails for sh*t. read more

Love Jinny's! Everything they use is very clean. All of the staff are personable and kind. I've been several times and I've had the same experience each time. I never have to wait longer than 5-10 minutes to drop in. If there are several customers ahead of me, staff are honest about the wait and may recommend coming another day. But I always figure it's for my own good, I prefer the honesty. If you're particular about wait times, they do schedule appointments. Ask for Miriam, she gives great attention to detail and she's extremely thorough (but still quick!). The prices are very good $20 for a gel mani that lasts past the usual two weeks. In all, the facilities are clean, then people are awesome, and the prices are great! read more

Every time- without fail- when I call this salon and ask if I can come in for a pedicure, they say 'no' and that they're too busy. OK fine I could perhaps come in later- however, they NEVER offer a different time in response. It's so frustrating that I've finally decided to not go back ever again! read more

Horrible service, I walk-in and honestly everything was silent and all the costumers including the workers looked at me like I had 8 heads. A lady told me their were extremely busy mind you it was 4:45pm and the close at 8:00pm she told me to come in tomorrow or Friday. Just horrible oh and the lady that was only available got upset because I ask for Paola and didn't want to do my nails. read more

Annoying that I have to choose one star because I would give this place no stars. This was my first and last time here. I get my nails done Every month and a half.... I always get powder.... I received a gift certificate for my bday to get my nails done here..... The staff was very nice.... but the services were not acceptable for the money that is charged for powder! My other place that does my nails lasts almost 2 months... this place less then 2 weeks!!! I went in to show them what a poor job they give and they said they would fix it .... I barely have time to eat lunch much less sit there for them to redo a 5o dollar nail job. You can't fix a broken nail - my nail NEVER SHOULD HAVE BROKEN WITH POWDER ON IT! I told her I didn't want it fixed and I didn't want anything free - she said it happened because other places use a clear coat which prevents the nail from breaking.... EXCUSE ME???? So what does that mean???? Do you skip this process for people to have to come back every two weeks!!!! After my nails were finished I was happy and even tipped the lady who did my nails 20 dollars!!! For what!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE.... for the ones giving this place 5 stars.... well apparently they haven't been to any 5 star places! read more

I just went in with my little sister to bs with her while she her nails done. Left back out to do shopping after the longstares from staff. I took 15 - 20 minutes came back and sat down and the lady thats doing my sister's nails says to me that I can't be here if I'm not wearing a mask I said I'm vaccinated she said it doesn't matter smh all awhile my sister and others are not wearing one smh. Maybe there is a prejudice here where as I'm 6'4 230pds and darker skinned in complexion tone. I left to go sit in today's heat and little do they know that I referred many ppl to there establishment and I don't get my nails done but I referred them because I seen their work and I support small business of different cultures. So I can support Asian communities and this i feel is prejudice. I promise I'll tell this story to everyone I know with the video and audio in my time. read more

If you are not white or Spanish, they will reject you asking you about an appointment claiming they are busy. Now I will never go back in there! read more

I absolutely love this nail salon, I've gone twice and had 2 different technicians whom worked on my nails exactly the same. I love that!!! no more waiting for the that one person who does the best. This is New Rochelle's hidden gem right here! Best manicure and pedicure in town at insanely reasonable prices. $20 gel manicures using OPI products. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I've been going here for two years. I can't find a place as good as this. Their prices can't be beat. read more

I used to go to Jinny's- for almost six years, but no more. It it has really deteriorated. The owner is downright rude and nasty to people. First time coming to this spot and I'm pretty sure it will be the last. Came in for a pedicure and it wasn't the best. Four stars because while i loved my nails after Kevin did them... the environment was... awkward. I walked in and was greeted, told them i wanted a fill and gel nails, but then just stood there when no one said anything after. when i was asked if i wanted a pedi and declined, they lady immediately turned back around and ignored me. I was helped within 5 minutes and left less than an hour later, but in the 50 or so minutes i was there, no one said anything. The outside of the salon is not exactly fancy, the inside is nothing to write home about, but i would go back as long as kevin does my nails. read more

This was my first time here, went to it because it was recommended by a friend. I was taken care of right away (though it did pick up a little as I was almost done). The woman working on my nails was so nice and did a great job. $65 for UV Permanent French Gel. Cash tip only, but there is an ATM next door. Credit cards can be used for payment (must be over $10). The place was very clean and the workers were very nice. Definitely going back!o read more

This is a nice cozy place if you want a quick mani pedi. I like the deals they offer with different packages

I was referred to Jinnys by a friend who is a regular so I made an appointment almost 1 week in advance for 2 people at the same time. When we got there, they hadn't written down the appointment so the person we requested was not able to do both of us! Our pedicure was very well done but our gel manicures came out terrible!! They chipped within 3 days!! I have a desk job so there's no reason why my gel manicure chips in 3 days! While the pedicure was great, I may need to give them one more try at a gel mani. read more

I visited the nail salon often when I resided in New Rochelle. Now my spouse and I come back as our town lacks in nail shops. Miriam and Rosa are top notch!!! My spouse loves the attention to detail Miriam takes while doing his mani (his nails and cuticles were horrendous as he's a habitual nail bitter). Rosa is my go to woman. She's thorough and extremely gentle. I had a pedicure done two weeks ago and still going strong. My nails are always so pretty once she's done with them.
