The person who answered was very helpful, which was a big plus. The entrance is on the side with the small parking lot. Once you walk in, the store seems to go on and on. They've got everything you could need for home improvement projects, even the smallest ones. The staff on the floor were friendly and knowledgeable--another big plus. I liked the idea of supporting a local business for what I needed instead of going to a big-box store. That said, you might pay a little more for some items. I'm also thinking of calling to see if they offer knife sharpening--another local hardware store I know does this. The inside is just what you'd expect from a hardware store: neat, tidy, and well-organized. Definitely worth a visit! Parking can be tricky, with a small lot and some street parking available.

I had to make four additional trips to the store as the polesaw was install incorrectly twice. At 20 minutes each way it adds up. This does not make me feel confident in their service work. I will not be buying any more equipment from them. Only giving them two stars because staff was friendly but not knowledgeable on what they are doing. I would go else where for power equipment.

I recently learned from an online friend that they also sharpen knives! The prices are fair, and depending on the day, they can have them ready in about an hour (sometimes even faster), which beats waiting days like other spots. A few times a year, usually around the holidays but sometimes other times too they run a buy-one-get-one-free deal. Definitely worth checking out, but I'd give them a quick call first to confirm when it's happening. They also have a punch card program, and I grabbed a knife bag for $5 that's totally worth it. All in all, it's a solid neighborhood hardware store-with friendly staff, fair prices, and plenty of parking in the strip mall area.

This is my flagship Home Depot. I often come here for lighting and electrical needs and am very…read moreexcited about their fuller stock of LED bulb options. Usually all of your bits and bobs are in stock. Seasonal items are often available earlier. The store is easy to navigate and always has a staff member in sight of the popular sections. I've never had an issue purchasing or returning at this location and most of the employees remember me because of my frequent visits. This location is a lot easier to get to than Henrietta or Irondiquoit and has a lot less traffic. I recommend before visiting, use the Home Depot App to check if things are in stock. It is usually spot on. The staff is always willing to help or find someone who can. Some of the staff are a little quirky in their humor, so as always be kind and rewind.

Yes, sometimes things could be very busy or take longer time than expected to figure out any issues but in general I prefer to go to this Home Depot than any other one in Rochester. My favorite staff there are Fatma, Albert and Josh (from appliances). Too bad Josh left Home Depot, he was the one who figured anything and everything out in the computer system when it comes to sales, exchange, refunds and returns, in general. I'm sure his replacement is also great but I haven't experienced that, yet. I'll keep shopping here. If you know that you need an assistance from a staff member then make sure to go during the week M-F between 8am to 5pm to be able to get their best help. Yes they open from 6am but not all staff are there at 6am.

We kept calling and calling to see if it was ready, to get it back, but it was never ready. Finally, they said since it was summer, and they were doing so many lawn mowers that people needed right away, would we mind waiting? To be agreeable, my husband said sure. In the Fall, we were delivered, when neither of us was home to receive it, "our" snow plow- except it wasn't ours. It was the same brand and type of plow, but it was rusty and dented, with old rusted wheels, and ours was sparkly brand new- looking. My husband called to try to get our rightful plow back, and they said it was ours. It is not! BEWARE! Keep your model number number handy, if you need a repair, so you can identify your equipment! I am fair, and to be fair, this rusty snow plow does start up and run. But it's still not ours. I wonder who has ours...
