Too jay's definitely disgraced me today! Our medical office received a catered lunch from Stuart location. The person "male" delivery did not wear a mask nor gloves as he displayed the food. I witnessed this Too jay's employee uncover the packaged food, NOT wearing gloves nor face covering as he scooped with spoon and his bare finger a topping of lemon butter white wine sauce and placed on top of each chicken breast already displayed inside aluminum pan. We contacted the location to report this and another employee hung up the phone. I have lived in Stuart over a year now and this was my 1st visit to TooJay's!! Service and food were both phenomenal!! I had read about new owners taking over and that food wasn't that good anymore. Toojays has made a major slide downhill. On last few visits food was cold, sandwiches were small, and parts of the order forgotten. As far as take out goes. Not enough people working. Long wait and once again the order was wrong and the size of the sandwich was pitiful. Looks great however service and kitchen were not together today at all! 7 of us with a lunch time limit got seated quickly, First waitress came promptly, took our beverage order and never returned! Another waiter came with drinks , still all good, took our orders, great. Now 20 minutes later 3 of the 7 lunches arrive. 10 minutes later another 2, then another. Mine arrived 50 minutes, the last one. All but one of the lunches was missing or had incorrect food on the plate. The waiter, John, grew angry with our request for the missing items. Which we had to ask for repeatedly. Getting the checks was another nightmare as the wrong items were on the wrong checks and forget about it to go box. Went here to try the thanksgiving meal (big mistake). I understand it is a holiday and busy but my family didn't have plans for thanksgiving meal so we wanted to give toojays a try. When we got there, there was a sign on the door that said if you do not have a reservation you cannot be seated. We said okay and asked if we could do a togo order. *The lady at the front counter taking our order was so unbelievably rude. She acted like us being there and ordering was such an inconvenience and was very dismissive. Rolled her eyes and had attitude because we didn't have the menu memorized and had to ask a question or two. After we paid she just walked away and did not say anything (like how long it would take, etc). A few minutes later she proceeds to ask us if we want meals to take home to warm up or already cooked meals (still with horrific attitude). At this point we said never mind and got our money back. Went to cracker barrel where the service was amazing and they treated their customers like human beings. I can't believe I've been wintering in Florida for eight years and just found this place. OMG it is great. They were slow, took forever to get our food even though the place was empty. Saw a waitress wipe up the floor and then throw that same cloth on a table not sure if she used it to wipe that table but just the thought of it.... Had a strawberry citrus salad that came with mushy strawberries, it's strawberry season, and mushy mandarin oranges. I went to lunch today with a friend. We were seated quickly in a booth in a room in the back. Our order was taken quickly and food arrived in a short time. My friend said her chopped salad was good and my roast beef sandwich was good. Lots of roast beef and the French fries were hot. That was the end of the service. After we had finished eating we sat for a long time to flag down the server and get the check. Today everything is automated so you don't get a check. Our server said 'your portion is $19 and she told my friend what her total was. Since we didn't have multiple items it was pretty easy to see the amount seemed right. I should have asked to at least look at the detail. I paid with credit card which was easy my friend paid in cash. When the server came back to the table with out to go boxes. There was no change. I asked about her change and we were told they don't handle cash. So she left and came back with the change. Not a terrible experience but not great. Not sure I would return. read more

My husband and I love this restaurant and all of its baked goods... especially the chocolate KILLER cake--- that is my favorite! Our waiter was Michael and he was friendly, funny and right on when it came to making sure are drinks were refilled and that we had plenty of pickles! We are glad this restaurant is open during this c19 drama. You have to wear masks in and out, but can take them off as long as you're seated. read more

My family and I are usual Toojay goers and love their food but COVID-19 has ruined their food and service. I ordered buffalo chicken tenders and got sliced chicken patty with no buffalo sauce. The coleslaw tasted a few days old and my mother ordered a turkey burger with the saddest piece of lettuce. It was one sole leaf. My disappointment is immeasurable. The fries tasted like reheated fries. Edit: Since I wrote this review, I have returned to their restaurant after being helped bu their customer service representative and their service has returned to it's usual great food. Great place friendly staff eat there every day They just had a remodel. Was close for two weeks. Miss them tremendously. But it was worth it. The remodel is incredible bigger store bigger kitchen bigger restrooms. Love the color choices. And they even have a few tv's. I highly recommend eating here. Good place to eat, great selections, had an appetizer- Rueben egg rolls- super good. Both my son and I got the pastrami burgers. Melted cheese, caramelized onions ( not very caramelized) and sauce. Really good. Both of us asked for a medium burger- and that's how it came!! so often not the case. The tea was really good as well, atmosphere here was good, not loud and the wait staff were all attentive while we were here. Great dessert selection plus additional pastries and such. Had the banana came- would not get again- it was somewhat dry and is advertised as having lots of chocolate- didn't see it taste it, that was the one disappointment to the meal, should have went with first thought- chocolate cake. Don't expect anything fancy, this place seems on par with a diner or Perkins. Seems reasonably priced but a can of Dr. Brown's soda is like $2.69. Whoa! You could probably buy a six pack at a supermarket for that price. I've only ever been here for lunch...about 30 times over the last 13 years! We actually ordered take-out today (10/22/2008) which was a change, but alas, it's still darn good Jewish Deli food. I ordered the Turkey Pastrami sandwich on rye, MK the Dill Chicken Salad on Challah. Mom and Dad actually order a 1/2 loaf of rye and get sliced meats (Pastrami and Turkey Pastrami) and make their own sandwiches. As for eating in the restaurant, this one does a good business as it's in the Regency Square Mall. Service has always been pretty good and food always arrives correctly made and to the right temperature. I've had the Matzo Ball Soup and it's fantastic as is their Chicken Noodle Soup. We've never really had dinner here, so I'm not really sure how it is, but I can say that desserts are pretty good and usually, if we eat there, we get them to go. The eclairs are huge and very custard filled (and not cheap either). You get huge softdrinks here. 32 oz glasses with free refills, so watch your bladders. read more

Came on Sunday for lunch. There was a line but it moved reasonably quick. Food was fine and the 4 of us all enjoyed our meals. The problem was that the service was unacceptably slow and waitress was a little unpleasant. Just slow as molasses really. I can't remember many times in my life where it has taken this long to receive food after ordering and then an extraordinate amount of time to receive the check.
