Sucre (Sugar) is tiny - like 3 or 4 people standing room only tiny, but holy moly, are they flexing. French pastries, breads, sandwiches, coffee, tea ... all straight fire. The BLT on a croissant? Buttery, flaky croissant, thick smoky bacon, fat juicy tomato slices - typically I wouid never order a BLT on a croissant, but I went with Carol's (the manager) recommendation and it slapped! Hard. 11/10 My wife ordered the Dubai chocolate croissant and let's just say: it flexed harder than Schwarzenegger in his prime. Layers so airy they almost levitate. Smooth dark chocolate and pistachio. It's sweeeeet. If you like dubai chocolate style creations - this is otherworldly. I asked my wife what score she gives it. She didn't skip a beat. "Numbers are insufficient for that masterpiece." There ya have it! We swing by when we can for their sourdough loaf which are always 10/10. A huge shoutout to Carol, the manager. She's not just helpful - she's encyclopedic. Ask her what's in a pastry, what's not, what pairs best with coffee - she'll walk you through like your own pastry tour guide, always kind, always thorough. It's tiny, yes - you'll eat outside, in your car, or at home. But trust me, when the food hits this level, location doesn't matter. Sucre is a heavyweight champ hiding in a shoebox. Clutch move: they regularly discount the pastries around 2 or 3 until close to BOGO. Enjoy! read more

Sucre is an awesome little gem off the beaten path of downtown Stuart. You can smell the fresh baked goods from the street as you approach this quaint authentic French bakery. While the inside is small and has no available seating, there are plenty of spots outside to enjoy your sandwich, pastry, and coffee. The service is friendly and staff is very helpful and willing to walk you through their selection and offer great suggestions. read more

An inviting and cute little bakery with tasty goodies. We stopped here on a Sunday afternoon without realizing they were closing in a few minutes. Marissa gave us a warm greeting and was very welcoming. Wonderful service is always appreciated, as is freshly baked dessert. The berry chocolate croissant was a standout, as it was fresh, flakey and absolutely delicious. Nestled on a side street one block from the center of town, this bakery is worth a stop. read more

Hidden, little gem. Decided to try this place based upon a recommendation from our foodie friends... what an experience. Patrick greeted us with his wisdom of the remaining selections... Here's what we tried; 2 lemon curd twists, flourless peanut cookie, croissant, Belgian chocolate raspberry croissant, mini carrot cake and oat blueberry bar! ALL WERE OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! Def highly recommended to give this place a try if you enjoy fabulous French pastry, coffees and quiche read more

We've always enjoy Sucre but we had a really bad experience this morning. I sent my daughter down to pick up paste for a group of friends at our house and she was treated very poorly . The woman that waited on her was totally rude to the point that she left before getting everything she wanted. My daughter was told " do not point at what you want" and " how many different things are you going to get?".... Bad experience , we will not be sending her back to pick up for us . read more

Ten stars if I could! An adorable place with real French style baked goods. Croissants are absolutely the best! Good thing we don't live too close but would consider moving here just to eat here more often! read more

Got a raspberry almond croissant, what a disappointment. Maybe a tablespoon of "jam" and whatever brown gritty substance smeared on the croissant = NOT almond anything. The croissant, as always is amazing. $4.99 to be disappointed! I have not been there in a while, prices same, quality not so much!! I wanted to get a lemon square - 2x2 " $4.99, I can make a whole tray for $5.00! Won' be back! I've been going to this spot since it opened and had such hope it would be exceptional, it was less than. I bake, sometimes I just want a treat I haven't prepared. Au revior patisserie. read more

I'm sorry...I normally don't like to leave a bad review...but I really don know what the people appreciate a place that has dust and dirty everywhere. It's really unpleasant if you look around . It's cleanness and really not even good quality. Ambience 0 too read more

Went on Sunday morning for our first visit. We bought 4 items. All different croissants. They were so stale you could have damaged a tooth! Truly disappointing! 20.00 straight into the trash! I don't understand as the reviews are great. We have had many delightful croissants at Des Artiste in Jupiter, always soft and fresh. So sad this experience was so poor. read more

I came here at 11am on 4th of July. They were pretty much out of product due to an unexpectedly busy morning. I was able to get a basic croissant. The croissant was flaky but the lamination and butter flavor lacked the plugra buttery taste and texture i look for in a good croissant. While not meeting my expectations, I would say it is one of the better croissants in Stuart. The outdoor seating area has much to be desired...doesn't exactly remind me of a "European cafe" as some reviewers say but it works. read more

Ignore Sucre French Bakery's décor, and enjoy the flaky croissants with filing of choice. I loved the lemon blueberry with toasted almond, and my wife the Strawberry Napoleon. At least as tasty as the pics on their Facebook page. Closest thing to Paris. Somebody loves and takes pride in what they bake. We're here for the month, and plan to make return trips. Alert: Close at 4 pm Short walk from Stuart Main Street. Street parking. read more

Lovely authentic French baked goods!! Upon my first visit, I was overwhelmed by the plentiful delicious options, but I was able to settle on four yummy choices to share with my family. I must say, the cinnamon roll cruffin was my absolute favorite! Something about the soft flaky layers of cinnamon sugar goodness that makes me never want a regular cinnamon roll again. read more

I ordered a birthday cake for my wife. The request was to have chocolate frosting with strawberry cake. Two layers. But I was surprised to get vanilla frosting and three layers cake. The price was also raised 50% more. I had no choice but to pay the price because I didn't have another place to buy a cake. The manager/owner promised me for some compensation on the errors, however, she insisted that I should come back to the store for something she could offer. I was a tourist and couldn't make it happened. After I explained the situation, I was treated rudely and refused for refunding difference. read more

Sucre French Bakery - Look at all this yummy goodness! - Bakeries Near Me - Stuart, Florida

This is a great little hidden gem just outside of the downtown Stuart area! They make wonderful looking and delicious tasting baked goods of many varieties! Their muffins are wonderful, and their croissants are decadent and delicious and come in so many flavors. We love the pumpkin filled, pecan pie topped fall flavor! They have almond chocolate raspberry which is another fabulous combo! Blueberry croissant! And many others- I'm not sure you could go wrong. They also make gorgeous tarts, fruit pies, and many other delicious treats. I just wish they would sell whole loaves of freshly baked breads like brioche loaves and baguettes, etc.! That would have me in here weekly to purchase! Service is always friendly and efficient! The inside is standing room only and fits about 3 people inside at a time. All the items are easily visible and displayed nicely. They have umbrella/tent covered seating outside with about 3-4 tables. read more

Stumbled upon this place during the Stuart art festival. Let me just say wow. Had their lemon bar which looked absolutely divine and it did not disappoint. The bottom crust was nice and supportive the lemon curd was legit lemon curd and it had a nice skin on the top. It was perfectly sweet and tart. I'm gonna be in trouble and can't wait to come back for their bread. Thank you!!! read more
