Came on Sunday for lunch. There was a line but it moved reasonably quick. Food was fine and the 4 of us all enjoyed our meals. The problem was that the service was unacceptably slow and waitress was a little unpleasant. Just slow as molasses really. I can't remember many times in my life where it has taken this long to receive food after ordering and then an extraordinate amount of time to receive the check. Granted, it's not like a true deli that you would experience in New York, or even in Michigan for that matter, but it's a good substitute while in Florida! The portions are ample, the pricing is adequate, and there really isn't much else in the way of a quality deli in Stuart. Definitely a fan of the reuben here. If you're in the area, check it out. I have been here twice. The first time I got a rueben delicious! However the women at the front are rude and impersonal. They will not smile or even look at you. I was there again today. I picked up 2 danishes. I asked what was in the one danish and the woman behind the counter said, "cheese" like I was bothering her. When I got into the car and bit into it the danish was full of raisins. Sometimes it's not about how good the food is, but how bad the service is. That will be my last time there. read more

Oh, to find a Jewish deli was a real treat! Our party of 4 really enjoyed this deli. We ordered 2 liverwurst sandwiches, a corned beef and a brisket sandwich. All of the sandwiches were delicious. Probably the worst overall experience I've had at this location. The surly waitress named Lisa is a discredit to the profession. Humorless, dispassionate, and incompetent. They've recently remodeled and the restaurant looks much better, however the food is worse. I'd rather have the out dated decor back in a heartbeat if it meant better food once again. I've ordered the same exact meal at this location at least once every two months for almost 3 years. This will be the last time. I order a Dr. Browns Black Cherry, A Rueben with fries, and an extra side of Russian dressing. The only thing I enjoyed was the can of soda. The fries cold and stale, they've switched to what I can assume is a lunchmeat type corn beef rather than the house made that i had enjoyed previously. I've been to this restaurant twice, however I couldn't judge it the first time, (mostly because I only ordered a grilled cheese) and it was only after my second visit that I decided to finally share my thoughts. An excellent Jewish deli and bakery. So great that we've become regulars. The loaded matzo ball soup is a meal in itself. Deli meat sandwiches--Reuben, corned beef, turkey--are large enough to feed two people. We're New Yorkers and this is the closest thing in Florida to a New York deli. The aroma from the bakery is so intoxicating that we want to eat everything. Rugelach, babka, cheesecake and coconut cake are our favorites. Wait staff is very friendly. Can have a meal with a great presentation and well prepared food or a mess on a plate - Today my friend ate their meal alone ( which looked delicious) while I had to send a simple salad with grilled chicken back twice. We just had our lunch catered to our dental office in Hobe Sound. The food is fresh, delicious and beautiful. We ordered online and the delivery charge was $5 which is very reasonable for the distance they traveled. The delivery person was friendly and neat and professional looking. The sandwiches and salads arrived chilled well and packaged nicely. We ordered the corned beef, chicken salad, tuna salad and roast beef. The bread was very fresh and the meats sliced thin and tender and moist. The coleslaw, potato salad, fruit salad and strawberry green salad was delicious. The fruit was ripe in the salad. They delivered a gorgeous cookie platter also. There is plenty of food for all of us with leftovers for tomorrow. I will order from TOojays again soon. Our entire staff loved the lunch. Went to TooJay's with my mom and her friend. The food was wonderful. My mom had beef and cabbage soup and a salad. I had half a pastrami sandwich and tomato soup. Since this was my first time, I thought I would try one of their sandwiches they are known for. Wow! I was not disappointed. Don't be intimidated by the long line. It moves quickly and efficiently. Here we have a place that offers good food, but is contaminated by toxic help. Waitresses aggressively argue and complain to each other in front of customers, and their stress level is contagious. We have lived here for 25 years, and this place has gone down significantly (poor mgmt.?), especially in the past 5 years. A friend and I went to lunch yesterday, and Susie was our waitress! Well! She's the best and sweetest waitress ever! We will definitely be back and will look for her in the future. I've been going to Toojay's for about 17 years and have seen the size of sandwiches diminish gradually. The bread (rye) is delicious, but the smaller slices apparently make the filling look like more. By rolling the meat up, it makes a momentary impression of greatness on one side, but if you were to spread out the slices, the sandwiches are not huge. I do like the cabbage and beef soup, which I had never seen elsewhere. For the overall "NY deli" experience, Toojay's mimics the best (they are dying off in NY, too.) Their desserts are excellent. For chocolate addicts, nothing beats the Killer Chocolate Cake. read more

I am fortunate enough to keep some odd hours so my breakfast times and lunching times don't really match the general population. Which is lucky for this place because by the time I am leaving there is a line out the door and wave after wave of walkers posting up. The food is OK, and traditional I guess but I have not been overwhelmed enough to wait 5 or 12 minutes as they have posted markers on the wall so you can gauge your wait. I have had some OK breakfast, and some not so good meals.
