Seating is typically for 4 but they made adjustments for our 6 person party which was really nice. The staff were incredibly friendly. It's definitely on the louder side, so I think our waiter had a difficult time hearing us, which made for a funny scenario. I saw some other review complain about the volume, and although it is loud, it really isn't the fault of the restaurant which I think makes for an unfair review. Food was great, I had the blackened teriyaki bowl w/ chicken. I will say portion size could be a little bigger. I got extra chicken in mine, and to be honest it felt like a regular portion of chicken? so I can only imagine the regular would feel quite small. The rest of the table had the tuna poke, which looked great, but again maybe light on the tuna? and the Calabrian Hot Honey pizza, which I thought was fantastic. Great balance of spicy and sweet!

I am not going to talk about the delicious food here, because that part is already well understood…read more Instead, I want to highlight a few things that, as diners, we often take for granted and sometimes overlook. Consistency I have been coming here randomly about six times since they opened, and that consistency is impressive. Portions are steady, service feels genuine, and every dish arriving at the table shows care. Nothing pretentious, just honest food that makes you smile and feel comfortable. Creativity, done right There is a clear respect for classic dishes, and that is not easy to pull off. The kitchen hits the right notes without overcomplicating things. The cioppino stood out in particular, a humble yet elegant seafood broth I have only ever tried in San Francisco, the birthplace of the dish. The resemblance was remarkable, and the quality of the ingredients was outstanding. I felt the same attention in the chowder and even in the cocktails, where every spice and component seems thoughtfully chosen to deliver a specific experience. Care and attention to detail This one is easy to notice. The owner is present, engaged, and clearly invested. You can tell when someone genuinely cares and takes pride in what they are doing, without big fuss or trying to be something they are not. That care carries through the room, the bar, and the overall atmosphere. Comfortable, polished, and welcoming. Point of improvement One small area where the experience could be elevated even further is service etiquette. Simple refinements, such as how drinks are poured or placed on the table, could enhance the customer experience and better match the level of care coming from the kitchen. These are small, easy-to-train details, but they make a noticeable difference. Overall, this is a hidden gem in Abbotsford that deserves to be discovered. A place that earns your trust quietly and keeps you coming back for all the right reasons.

The food is fine, as it should be at this price point, but not really worth going out your way for either, given the price. The other restaurant has has a rotation of seasonal dishes that tend to be very good. I wouldn't make the trip down here from Vancouver for the first restaurant, but I would for the second. I'm oversimplifying here since, if you get one of the standard dishes here, like the ribs, the ribs will be fine and they'll come with a selection of seasonable vegetables that are likely to be very good. But, why not just skip the fine ribs and order the dishes that are really outstanding here? BTW, if you care about covid safety, this place isn't great. The "outdoor" area is fully enclosed and not really different from being inside.

We arrived in time for our reservation, and the dining area looked nice enough. We were immediately seated, but unfortunately, it was a by a very large party, so we found it difficult to talk to each most of the night. We tried the following: - Pacific Octopus: OK. The octopus was a bit chewy, which means it was probably overcooked. I found the addition of the lamb merguez, although tasted fine, a bit confusing. I felt the dish had too many ingredients, and it muddled the flavours. - Beef Tagliatelle: OK. Well cooked, but didn't really like the five spice or the sweetness of the dish. - Smoke Pork Chop: OK. The pork was a bit overcooked, and the jus was far too salty. Service was satisfactory. We had no issues. Overall, it wasn't great. Maybe my expectations were too high. I often find hidden gems during my travels, and was hoping this would be one of them, but it wasn't. I appreciate the effort in designing their dishes, but I generally felt they were too complicated and too salty overall.

Despite being advertised as an Indian restaurant, their menu has a large variety of great menu choices you spend time going through. I ordered the Tuna Poke Bowl with the Pisco Sour cocktail. The drink was strong in sweetness, like the name entails, yet still enjoyed the foamy, bitter taste that accompanies it. The poke bowl was excellent. All the ingredients in the bowl compliments each other in flavour. I really liked the rice and the miso dressing in how it adds to the mixture. Although, a few of the ingredients were a little hard like the avocados. I thought the service was lacking when I noticed one was at the front counter during my arrival, and it was not even busy. I did get a table anywhere in the establishment. The interior look was modern yet upscale with expansive space that are divided into three separate rooms. This restaurant is a great place to eat and socialize and lives up to the lounge aesthetic. I would not mind coming back to eat at the Aroma Bistro.

We ordered a Dirty Chai, the Cold Queen from their seasonal menu, and split a Vegetarian Sandwich plus an Espresso Banana Bread. For two people sharing food and grabbing drinks, coming in under $40 felt like a total win. I love that their sandwiches are made fresh and fully customizable--your choice of bread, toppings, sauce, the whole deal. But the Espresso Banana Bread? Listen. Moist, rich, espresso‑kissed goodness. We tried to share politely... but both of us were definitely eyeing that last bite. The drinks were equally impressive--the Dirty Chai was creamy, spicy, and had just enough espresso kick to wake up my soul. Now, the decor is an experience all its own. They really stick to their gothic brand identity--right down to the menu. Think haunted country manor meets cool indie cafe. Dark walls, dramatic pieces, and yes... upstairs there's an actual table made from a coffin. It's a whole vibe. That said, I'm not sure eating a sandwich under an animal skull is quite for me. But the food and drinks were stellar enough that I'd absolutely come back--maybe just grab my goodies to go next time. The staff were incredibly friendly, and although the space is small (warehouse‑style with a couple tables and some bar seating), it has charm. Final verdict: Delicious drinks, great prices, unforgettable decor--worth the visit, even if you're taking your snack back to the land of the living.

Soy garlic = unfortunately, this made me sick afterwards. Chicken was old and chewy. We knew it wasn't fresh because we've had endless amounts of Korean fried chicken at many places in Canada and in Korea. Batter was so thick, as if it was re-battered and refried. The chicken pieces were so tiny that they got lost in the batter. It was also too sweet. If you're not a fan of sweet fried chicken, don't order this. We didn't think soy garlic would be too sweet so we were quite disappointed and didn't want to send food back when many around the world barely have anything to eat. Fried rice = taste was fantastic but the portion was tiny for a plate that cost about $19! I was surprised to have onion and sauce served with it; never had it before but I didn't mind it. It didn't elevate the dish or did anything to it so it could've been left out. Service = good. The hostess was friendly. Ambience = it is small but clean. Nothing much to say about decor but what is most important is that the tables and dishes are clean.
