We felt like we were really imposing on her. When we asked to see a menu. She brought menus over, slapped them on the table without any comment and left us sitting for a good 15 minutes before she came back to take our order. I didn't get her name but she had shoulder length black hair. I think she was nearing the end of her shift because service from another waitress improved when our food was brought out and we paid the bill. The food is considerably better than your standard pub food. I had the prime rib special with baked potato. I was pleasantly surprised that it was cooked exactly as I had requested - medium rare. It came with au jus and baked potato and was exceptional value for just under $12.00. My husband had a salad and chicken wings. The wings were very tasty, very moist and they were nice and plump, not the shrivelled up wings that many pubs seem to serve. However, when my husband asked if he could mix his wings and have 2 different kinds our initial waitress rudely told him this was not possible. Such an imposition! I don't know why this was such an impossible task as it has never been an issue before when we dine out. My husband decided not to make an issue out of it. It's a good thing the food was good. We would definitely return. I would just hope we could avoid our original rude waitress.

We tried the nachos and mushroom Swiss burger. Both were good! I'd go back and try the chicken…read morewings next time as when the. Server walked by it smelled delish and everyone was raving about them. Also the service was great! Young girl on top of taking care of everyone and even the kitchen staff helped to bring food out.

It's cozy, stylish, and the drinks are crafted with serious skill. We tried their This or That summer cocktail feature (running until August 31), along with the Lost Luggage cocktail. For food, we had the featured sandwich (beef patty, truffle dijonnaise, smoked gouda, red wine mushrooms, pickled onion, and arugula) plus the classic bacon cheeseburger (stacked with bacon, cheese, pickles, lettuce, and Hundy sauce). Cocktails, burgers, and a speakeasy setting...what more could you ask for? This was fine with us since the goal was to have a couple of drinks and stuff ourselves with some burgers and fries from Hundy (the burger joint we needed to go through to get to Stock Room). I started with the dangerous liaison cocktail (beefeater gin, peach, lemon, sugar, butterfly pea flower). This was a solid drink, refreshing and hit the spot. My second drink was spreadsheet (beefeater, st. germain, lime, strawberry syrup, green strawberry bitters). I enjoyed this drink better as it wasn't too sweet and the flavor profile was more to my taste when it comes to cocktails. I'm happy to have found another bar to add to my list of places to grab a good drink in Vancouver.

We walked in and they seem to have a constant flow of customer walking in. They are connected to the restaurant/wine bar through a little opening in the wall. I saw the server pass stuff through the wall into the Amici Italian Wine Bar. The Gelato area (which is next store to Amici Italian Wine Bar) serves 10 different kinds of gelato. I got the single scoop pistachio gelato for $4.75. My friend got two flavors (one scoop each) and it was $7.50. The portion size was the same for mine and his. The trick here is to order one scoop. We had it in a cup. The gelato was very flavorful and you can tell it was made with real ingredients (no artificial stuff). It was nice, smooth and very flavorful. I would definitely come back again. There are plenty of free parking in the area (mostly 2 hours).

Had it been more generous I definitely would've given 5 stars as I liked the overall ambiance of this place. I will definitely be back to try the meatball and pasta dishes. Maybe a cocktail or two. The neat aspect is they have 2 separate areas, the upstairs lively open section or the intimate, cosy downstairs where you can enjoy the dim lighting. PS I didn't take pics this time I was too hungry!!

Consistency I have been coming here randomly about six times since they opened, and that consistency is impressive. Portions are steady, service feels genuine, and every dish arriving at the table shows care. Nothing pretentious, just honest food that makes you smile and feel comfortable. Creativity, done right There is a clear respect for classic dishes, and that is not easy to pull off. The kitchen hits the right notes without overcomplicating things. The cioppino stood out in particular, a humble yet elegant seafood broth I have only ever tried in San Francisco, the birthplace of the dish. The resemblance was remarkable, and the quality of the ingredients was outstanding. I felt the same attention in the chowder and even in the cocktails, where every spice and component seems thoughtfully chosen to deliver a specific experience. Care and attention to detail This one is easy to notice. The owner is present, engaged, and clearly invested. You can tell when someone genuinely cares and takes pride in what they are doing, without big fuss or trying to be something they are not. That care carries through the room, the bar, and the overall atmosphere. Comfortable, polished, and welcoming. Point of improvement One small area where the experience could be elevated even further is service etiquette. Simple refinements, such as how drinks are poured or placed on the table, could enhance the customer experience and better match the level of care coming from the kitchen. These are small, easy-to-train details, but they make a noticeable difference. Overall, this is a hidden gem in Abbotsford that deserves to be discovered. A place that earns your trust quietly and keeps you coming back for all the right reasons.
