Deep dish regular slice and mozzarella stuffed garlic knot
    Tara K.

Stopped in for lunch, as we were driving by. Appeared clean, but in need of an update. Around 2:30 on a Monday, it was fairly busy. Friendly counter staff. Decent amount of pizza options at the counter. My husband got a regular slice and a veal parmagiana hero. He enjoyed the slice with a nice crunch to the crust and not at all greasy. He also liked the Veal parmagiana hero, perfectly well done as he enjoys it. As I tasted the Veal, it was chopped into little bites, a generous portion, and flavorful. I had the deep dish regular slice. Again, it was not greasy at all, and the cheese pull was incredible. I bit into a nice, soft layer, and then the crispy crunch of the crust. I also tried a mozzarella stuffed garlic knot. Again, great cheese pull. The garlic was powder dusted on top and was a little burnt tasting, but still a solid knot. Overall, it was a good experience.

One beautiful slice of cheese pizza! Oh and my daughters hand

Highly recommend! I have this place 5 stars, but let me explain why, I'm originally from NY but my 15 year old daughter isn't, we live in Florida now. She's heard me talk so much about NY pizza that I wanted to take her out to get good, greasy, NY pizza. We'll Tony's didn't disappoint in the taste at all, they let me down a bit in the grease department, , but the service was excellent and the pizza was damn good! My daughter enjoyed and raved about how much better the pizza is up there than back home, all I wanted from the experience. So I definitely recommend. Sorry I didn't get any pics but I can tell you we started with one slice but had to go back for another.

    Barbecue slice

Tonys is family run old-school pizza. A wide variety of food is available. It's hard to choose when at the counter. My advice is to stop off and try them all. The staff is friendly. I have seen the same faces forever. I've been going there since the late 80's highly advise trying the barbecue slice if that's your thing. Delicious and like no other. Thanks, Tony's pizza, for always being consistent all these years.

Was in the area and oh yes again I needed pizza. Decided to try Tonys, Had 2 slices sicilian. The service was excellent , And the staff friendly and helpful. The pizza was just ok, Nothing to write home about.

    Sausage in vegetarian pizza

My husband just picked up cheese and tomato pizza as a pure vegetarian and a religious manner, surprisingly there was a meat attached on the side Looks like they used same cutter for all pizzas.

The Italian owner, Dominic, was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the pasta with shrimp, which was full of flavor, and the toasted bread with cheese was amazing -- the kids absolutely loved it! But the best of the best was the chicken soup. Oh my gosh! Seriously, some people can't even make chicken soup this good at home! It tasted homemade, comforting, rich and absolutely delicious. Mamma mia, che bontà! I would honestly drive another 40 minutes just to eat this soup again! Great food, warm Italian hospitality, and that wonderful feeling of finding a place you weren't expecting to love so much. Cafe Gia, we will definitely be back! Grazie, Dominic!

It was in the notes and we even called to make sure they saw my note online about the allergy and no cheese. Yet, for the THIRD TIME, there is cheese in my meal. None of the employees know what they're doing and clearly can't even read basic English. And the manger or owner, have no idea and genuinely don't care, is so rude and disrespectful. He always has an attitude when you call about an issue (which is literally all the time), and the first time we called about my allergy that was stated in the notes he said "all our pastas have cheese, it makes it taste better" even though it's not stated in ANY OF THE DESCRIPTIONS. I do not recommend this place at all especially if you have an allergy because they do not take proper precautions even when you do inform them multiple times.

Anyway.... I was hesitant to give em another shot, but after hearing about new ownership, fair is fair. And I didn't think my previous review would be "fair" to them. So I made my obligatory "3 visit" rule (I try out a place 3x times before writing a bad review; after all, everyone is entitled to have a bad day, right?). So.... I'm happy to report NOW that the place was clean, the staff were pleasant and friendly, and the pizza was GREAT. Lots of choices (I'm a by the slice kinda guy), all tasted fresh, and frankly, it's pretty damn good. With that: 5 stars, and a hearty recommendation! Enjoy!

Last night, arriving at 7:30, there was only one table open. It was crazy busy with 2 birthdays being celebrated. My usual night to dine there is on Tuesday, no reason in particular, and it was nice to see, at first, that they have a person named Carmelo singing while playing the keyboard as entertainment! Will come back to this in a moment! The food is always great and consistent. On an especially busy night while I was there they didn't falter on service or food! The salad is fresh and they offer Thousand Island dressing, my favorite! I find that to be a rarity to have at an Italian restaurant but lucky me!! My baked ziti was an amazing blend of everything, the pasta cooked perfectly! Did I mention there are prepared entrees in a big refrigerator when you walk in that are practically free?? It's filled with a variety of ready made dishes including pasta, chicken, seafood and desserts! Everything is priced at $6.00! That is an over the top great deal on great food to me!! Ok, back to the live entertainment! Carmelo was very good! He sang Italian songs as well as popular ones! He even took a moment to sing Happy Birthday to the people celebrating that night which was very nice but....he was loud, a little too much!! The restaurant was noisy to begin with! A combination of the restaurant completely filled and the loud music and singing I couldn't hear my daughter, AT ALL! Instead of talking, we conversed via text the whole time we were there! Except for a few 5 minute breaks, this was extremely annoying to me but for some, this might be a good thing! I will absolutely be returning to Medford Pasteria as I have yet to try their pizza except.... I will not be eating there on Mondays!
