Margherita Pizza slice
Andrew C.

Located in the Twinbrooke Shopping Center, I love that Tony's Pizza offers pizza by the slice, making it easy to grab something quick. When you walk in, you're greeted by the friendly staff behind the counter and a display of nearly 20 different pies to choose from, which makes deciding a bit of a challenge--in a good way. Plenty of seating and a tv mounted on the wall. My top pick is the Pepperoni Bacon Focaccia pizza. The focaccia base is light and airy, and it's generously loaded with cheese, making each bite rich and satisfying. Will definitely be back to try other slices in the future.

Buffalo Chicken Pizza

This is a super cool local pizza place! It's new to Twinbrooke. Very friendly service and spacious seating atmosphere and nice environment/ambiance. We ordered a slice of cheese and buffalo pizzas. As well as the garlic bread pizza. The cheese and garlic bread were FANTASTIC!!! Super crispy and toasty. Served with delicious hot marinara sauce. The buffalo was good... but some of the chicken in it was chewy and questionable. Overall a great place especially for pizza by the slice!

Overpriced for soggy pizza. We ordered two larges for takeout, ate it when it was still piping hot, yet the toppings and cheese would not stay on the crust. I don't mind a floppy pizza, but not when everything is falling apart and the crust is soggy. Their Fair Lakes location is great, so this was disappointing. I do not recommend.

This was my first visit to Tony's latest location in the Twinbrooks strip mall. The location is brand new and very clean, with a good number of seats for dining in. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had the chicken parm sub, which lived up to my high expectations from Tony's other locations. I didn't try them during this visit, but they had a very large selection of different pizza by the slice. I'm very happy to have this location open up close to my house.

Our neighborhood pizza place! Love single slice option. Like the pasta and calzones. Surprisingly a lot of seating in front and back. Glad it's here and hopefully to stay a long time!

There are several pizza tiers in the Nova area. In my opinion, Andy's Pizza and Frank Pepe's are the top two. Tony's is in the second tier with the likes of Mama Lucia's in Fair City Mall: rock solid. This is another new great addition to the Twinbrook shopping center. They do slices and have lots of options -- including a small bar area -- although we went with a couple of made to order pizzas. Both were very good as they really filled the meat lovers. We also ordered wings which may have been the crispiest I've ever had. Overall, we're really excited to have this place in Twinbrook and will definitely be back.

Outside entrance

Definitely a solid NY Style pizza and possibly even better than the Fairlakes location. Only thing is my jaw got a workout chewing the bread. Not sure if the dough sat too long or if the mixture was off but otherwise, the flavor and temperature was great. Spaghetti with marina was decent. I called an ordered over the phone and told 30-40 minutes. Walked in at the 40 minute mark and walked out 3 minutes later with my order. Much smoother than opening week. Inside was not as big as the Fairlakes location but definitely comfortable to dine in. Give it a shot.

The pizza is authentic. Subs and pasta dishes are excellent. For us, it is more of a takeout place. Great service at the takeout counter!

Good pizza in a rather stark, fast food establishment. The Puzza is definitely worth it, especially since it is so fairly priced.

Got a slice of white pizza and a slice of plain. Both were excellent. This is the best NY style pizza in NOVA.

Flew into town for a concert and saw this at the top of the recommendations, very serendipitous!…read more The place has a great atmosphere from the moment you walk in, the decor has a unique kitsch and the music is a definite vibe as well, and that's before you meet the staff. The staff was friendly front to back, hostess, waitress, bar tender- friendly and knew the menu and had solid recommendations and knowledge of the menu. The food was great, we had rangoons for an appetizer, followed by their famous General Tso's and the Mongolian Combination, all delicious! Highly recommend this place if you're in the area! However things went downhill pretty quickly. I ordered one of their specialty cocktails, which is more expensive than most of their meals, which was just ok. The drink was pretty strong which I didn't mind but most of it was just ice and the gummy was a little stale. Overall it looked cool but didn't really justify the price. The service is really where I felt let down. The 2 friends that I came with got their food in a normal timespan but it took 20-30 minutes for me to get my food. When I asked about it (because clearly they forgot) they lied and said their kitchen was backed up and the order is being prepared. The restaurant was half empty at that point so it was a little hard to believe. Also another waiter came out 10 minutes later and said my food just started to get cooked and will be out soon. Both my friends were pretty much done with their meals by the time I got mine and I didn't get anything from the staff aside from an insincere apology and a bad excuse. For the price we paid I expected much better service and for the staff to go above and beyond when they make a mistake, which didn't happen. The food was good when it eventually did come out though so I I'll give it an extra star for that.

They seemed a little short-handed when we arrived with one waitress covering about 7 or eight tables and manning the bar. She was awesome and had a great attitude as she hustled to serve guests. She got reinforcements which helped a lot. My wife and I each had the Sojourn Dwell IPA and it was out of this world. For food, we had not one but two portions of the house made pickles because they are so darn good! We also had the pancake which my wife loved but I thought was so-so. The pork belly bao was delicious! We also shared an order of the Three-Cup Sauce wings. They were sweet and well-cooked. The place has a very minimalist vibe with excellent music playing while we were there. It's not everyday you get "You're The Best" from Karate Kid playing in the background! It got VERY crowded around 6:30 when a bunch of people all showed up at the same time and it got pretty loud too, mostly due to a big group of mildly drunk people standing in the bar area. It made it hard to hear but really wasn't that bad. The bill seemed about right for hearty dishes and a couples of beers each. We will DEFINITELY come back!

Decided on this little spot in Fairfax town center after having a quick weekend day trip to DC. Really pleasantly surprised with the whole atmosphere of the place. It's a true fusion of asian bites but still a legitimate dive bar. The space is small, patrons are merry, and the whole place is an absolute vibe. I ordered some pilsner and some other lager on tap from local breweeies. Delicious. Ordered popcorn chicken, pork belly, and some 'real food' - a quick rice bowl with chicken. The fried bites were wonderfully crispy. They have good oil management and felt quite light especially with a swig of a cold lager. The rice bowl was tasty too. Construction was indeed very Taiwanese, and yet... I still felt like I'm in a dive bar complete with all its grunge. So cool They sell 4/6 packs of craft brews here too. They've got stuff all the way up from some Vermont and Maine (true craft beer land IMO)

The Combination platter of Paneer Enchilada and Potato Spinach and Cheese Taquito along with an a la carte Caulilflower taco was a great way to sample the menu! The Paneer Kathi roll is hands-down the best kati roll I've had! The Paneer Enchilada hit the spot with a creamy cheesy Tikka sauce while the the Spinach Cheese Potato Masala Taquito had a spicy kick! The Mexican rice was great for mopping up the sauce and absorbing the spiciness. It was a bummer the Cauliflower Taco wasn't an option for the Combination Platter of 3 (only the meat tacos were an option). I'm glad I ordered it a la carte for $8 - it was worth it! The crispy Cauliflower had a sweet and tangy sauce stuffed in 2 thin tortillas. Interestingly enough, all 3 items - the Enchilada, Taquito and taco had completely different sauces and flavors. The Happy Hour from 3-6:30pm Mon-Fri has good deals - try the Kathi Paneer roll! The roll is a generous size with tender scrumptious paneer stuffed in warm cheesy tortilla. I'll opt out of the jalapenos/chili next time. it added a spicy kick! The Masala Fries were like Indian version of spicy Disco fries. They were fun to try, but they were soggy from all of the sauce and a bit too spicy. I wish the sauces came on the side. The $8 flavored Margarita on happy hour is a great deal. I enjoy the Guava Margarita. The complementary chips were fine and a bit salty, nothing really special (I wouldn't fill up on them). The giant Watermelon Pina Colada Mocktail was very sweet and tasted like watermelon cotton candy slushie. My daughter loved it! I wasn't a fan of the Classic Margarita, Mezcal Passion fruit Margarita, or the Sangria on happy hour, the flavors weren't quite balanced out. The drinks were very tangy flavor and I wish the sangria was a bit sweeter and had a heavy flavor from the Triple Sec. I threw up outside the restaurant after drinking the Mezcal Passion fruit Margarita. Note - the restaurant doesn't take online or phone reservations for parties under 10, but I didn't wait long (10 min) for a party of 5 for Saturday lunch at 1pm (3 of 5 had to be there). Excited to come back to satisfy my cravings for the Paneer Enchiladas and Paneer Kathi Roll and Guava Margarita on happy hour!

I should have just stayed with the pepperoni. To be honest, I was expecting better. This day old dried out thin crust was a sad excuse for a pizza slice. it should have been steamed then thrown through their reheat oven cycle. Because it was day old dry. The potential was there... but the execution after sitting out all day... I mourn that pizza. Thrown on a paper plate by a teenager, the service wasn't much more than a grunt for a credit card. And the garage like atmosphere wasn't off putting, but I could smell the used oil in the concrete floors. I'm told the location in Alexandria is a better store. But yeah, not a great first impression.
