Andy confirmed our fabric desires/needs by explaining how patterns are laid and continued to match across eight (8) dining room chairs inherited from my mother and father. A very thorough introduction to what he was going to undertake when trusted with our furniture. Andy also had fabrics to purchase on site at very modest prices, but recommended we try places like Hobby Lobby, Walmart and Joanne's Fabric. We found our fabric on Amazon and Andy really liked the quality and pattern we selected. Andy took just a bit longer than promised by about an additional week after realizing the need for additional work (needed extra wood) to make the end product look correct. He added a very modest $80 ($10 per chair) to complete the task. The final result is amazing. He even had each of the chairs covered to protect his fresh work. After spending $75 per chair, one soon realizes the incredible value Andy presented compared to buying new chairs @ ~ $200 each. I wish I had more furniture to have reupholstered. I had a really disappointing experience with Oscar Lara, despite having had a good experience with…read morehim previously. When my sectional needed to be reupholstered, I trusted his recommendation and paid $6,380. Oscar specifically recommended the fabric for my vacation rental and demonstrated how stains would roll off. Less than a year later, the fabric was showing significant staining. When I contacted Oscar, his solutions were for me to spend another $4,700 to reupholster the sectional or have the cushions dry-cleaned between every rental--an impractical option for a vacation rental with only a three-hour turnover. He took merely $90 of responsibility After I fully explained my concerns, he insulted me and then stopped communicating with me. I relied on his professional recommendation for a significant investment and expected both the fabric and customer service to live up to what was represented. Unfortunately, neither did. I'm sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision about whether Oscar's recommendations and customer service are right for their needs.
