I had a somewhat complicated motorcycle seat I needed reupholstered. I was turned away from another upholsterer, saying the form was too complicated for them, and they recommended MTM. Just got my seat back and it looks amazing! Thank you MTM! read more

I'm writing this on behalf of my work, as business profiles are unable to write reviews for other businesses. One of our patients referred us to MTM Upholstery for our exam chair. We had gotten quotes from other places and MTM ended up giving us the best quote so we decided to go with them. Steven made it super easy, answered all of our questions and picked up the parts of our chair. A few days later Steven came back and reinstalled the cushions. Our chair looks brand new and we are no longer embarrassed by our chair! We too are a privately owned local business and always try to support other local businesses. We're very happy with our entire interaction with MTM Upholstery. Thank you Steven! read more

If you want excellent quality work, GO HERE! You won't regret it! We are building a custom camper van and have done everything ourselves, so far. When we cut our memory foam mattress for a bed/dinette conversion, there were so many custom cuts/angles, we knew we had to hire a professional for it to look perfect! So glad we found these guys! They don't keep stock. You have to stop by, deposit and choose the fabric. They did my headliner for just over half of what two other shops quoted me. Took one day for a headliner. read more

I brought a very, very old wingback chair that has been in my family for over 70 years to MTM for a makeover in October of this year. It was in sad shape after following me around the country with my husband's military career for thirty years. I always remember my mother and her mother sitting in it. Obviously I was nervous because the chair was so special to me. I could not be happier with the personal care they took of my antique. They replaced all outer coverings, redid the woodwork perfectly, and brought my chair back to "gorgeous" condition which will add at least another 70 years of use. MTM are a family orientated team and really took good care of me. I highly recommend this business for their quality, professionalism and customer service. The store owner took a personal interest in my project and completed the work on it himself--impressive. To him, it just had to be right. His mother kept me up to date on the status of the job and watched over the work carefully. The chair has very intricate curves and folds but the absolute perfection of the end product was amazing. Do not hesitate to trust this company with your most valuable pieces. They are just terrific!!!!!! read more

MTM reupholstered an old draftsman's chair my father in law used in the garage. We were in need of a kitchen counter stool and everything we found was poorly built. We ended up powder coating it then took the cushion and backrest to MTM upholstery and the did such a beautiful job. I have another chair I am think of having them redo also. APlus to MTM read more

They recently did my interior (headliner, visors, and pillars) on my car and it came out great! Went from this ugly grey plastics to this really awesome suede material! Get compliments everytime someone sees it. Would recommend to a friend and they have fast turn around times. read more

I'd like to review this business. However, they've had our cushion for 3 weeks. It took photos and a cushion to even get any estimate. Please just call us back. We need our sofa cushion. read more

It's not that their work wasn't any good, although some of the stitching wasn't matching my other faux leather chair. The real problem was that they did not order enough of the fabric that was a perfect match to the existing fabric. And instead of ordering more of the correct fabric, they unbelievably used a totally different fabric, one I specifically did not like, on the seat and back of the chair, while the arms and backside were the proper fabric. , now there are two distinct fabrics on this and the footrest is now also that horrible reddish brown no texture fabric. Who does that? Like I would not notice. I paid them $300 for a two toned upolstered chair, which does not match the second chair. I don't know why I didn't just refuse to pay the remaining 30% of the damned bill. Probably because I wasn't ready to do battle with such blatant ignorance. I could not believe they did that. Both chairs are now in storage and I will have them both redone, in the ONE fabric of my choice. But sure as hell, not by MTM Upolstery. 99% fail! :( read more

This place is quite possibly the biggest rip off in Vista! Got a quote for my truck to upholster the entire inside they quoted me 2000 bucks I thought was a bit high but I decided to do it. Now when it was completed it came out to a bit over 4000! I was not happy but they really did an incredible job. Now fast forward a few months I called these guys for a canvas boat cover, this time I personally went and got a quote and they told me 625 + or - a hundred dollars. That sound fair so I made an appointment and took the boat to them. Now the next day I get a call informing me it's now 2800! These guys seem to do good work but you definitely pay 3 times the amount you do anywhere else. read more

These guys are friendly knowledgeable and fair priced! I have used them a few times to repair Toyota 4runner seats and office chairs. I have been impressed every time!! I will be bringing in some more seats for an off road toy soon to test their customization and styling skills. read more

I dropped my car, Mercury Mariner off this morning to get the headliner replaced. It was ready at 4:30 for pickup. It looked like the new original was installed. I didn't pay extra for the visors to be done but they did them anyway so everything a perfect match. The even did a very thorough cleanup of the dash and vacuumed the front area so it was nice and bright. I'm very pleased with the quality craftsmanship, not to mention the price was much better than another bid here in Oceanside. read more

I choose to get my sectional couch reupholstered, and before I selected MTM I compared labor, delivery, and prices with two other more well known places. MTM is just up the street from UFO Fabric Outlet so it was super convenient to be able get the fabric and the labor close together. MTM was the only place who offered a reasonable price and they were also able to pick up my couch and deliver me my newly upholstered couch in less then a week, with no added pick up and delivery fee. They did a fantastic job. The couch looks great! I had a little extra fabric left over and they made me 4 matching pillows for my couch. Nice surprise. Friendly service. Very personal. Would highly recommend. read more

Steve knows the job perfectly! I had a great experience there. The armrest of my Camry was torn and he fixed it like a brand-new one.

I have a 2001 Volvo with leather seats. There were cracks in just the middle section on the driver's side. They replaced that section and matched the leather so perfectly that I cannot tell it from the rest of the seat. The trim around the moonroof had degraded and they replaced it expertly. It was a pleasure doing business with Steve and I would not hesitate to recommend him or use him again myself. read more

Unbelievable service and quality of work! They picked up my chaise and throw pillows and we selected the upholstery we wanted at UFO Upholstery (also highly recommend for a great selection to choose from and it is right down the street from MTM).
