Stay away and dont waste your time, go else where. I took to normal size chair cushions to get reupholstered along with a sample of a chair cushion that I wanted the two cushions to match on Monday. An employee to me to leave the cushions and i would be contacted. Tuesday no contact so I go back on Wednesday and receive apology from same employee and told for sure someone will contact me on Thursday. On thursday no call so I stopped in the shop and asked about my cushions and the lady had no clue what i was talking about and did not seem to care about my business or helping me. Bait and switch!! After looking around on yelp for a local upholstery business with good reviews we decided to come here. Unfortunately we were more than disappointed. My wife's car needs a new headliner due to typical wear and tear on a car that is more than 12 years old. We called ahead of time and spoke with Julia to find out what their process is. Scheduled a time to show them the car and find out what our options are. Julia said they were able to get the material 24-48 hours and the cost would be $68.00. To have Andrew install the headliner would be an additional $380 or so. Andrew did not give the exact number but mentioned $435-$450 total. I then asked if I can order the material from them and do the labor myself to save some cost. At this moment, Andrew changed his demeanor. He then started to not show any interest in us. My wife even asked me if we did something wrong. I told her I don't think so but maybe they think we are too cheap to pay north of $400 for the total cost of the headliner installed. We didn't say anything about how Andrew made us feel bad, I then asked Julia if we can order the headliner. She mentioned It will be here within the next 48 hours. Four days later we haven't heard from them, I called and Julia answered saying that the headliner is in. Again, my wife mentioned that maybe we upset them because we just wanted to order the material and not have them install it. Today I went to go pickup the headliner, I saw Andrew and he seemed disgruntled right away. I told him I was here to pickup the headliner. He said "$121.". I told him I am a little confused because I was quoted $68. He said "well if you want it it's $121". Again I mentioned that Julia told me it will cost me $68.00 and I asked him if this is a bait and switch situation. He only kept repeating himself saying that is the price. Take it or leave it. Making me feel like he is taking advantage of me. He then said the price difference is for tax and shipping. Julia and Andrew never mentioned tax or shipping originally but I would have been totally fine if the tax and shipping were reasonable but to almost double the price of my original quote seemed insane! Feeling unsure what to do, I told him I had to thank it over. He then rudely mentioned that they charge an extra 4% fee if I use a credit card. I was happy to pay with cash but by this time I started having such a bad taste in my mouth. I was done with this place. Definitely not what I was planning to do. My wife would have been so upset knowing that we were quoted $68.00 and it somehow turned into $121.00. It wasn't right. I have been in customer service most of my career and I always try to support local business even if it isn't the best deal. I am okay with it and will continue to support our community. This is an unfortunate situation though, I truly believe Andrew could have addressed the issue in a much more professional manner. I would have been totally understanding if the total came out to be below $100 or something reasonable. I would of mentioned that it wasn't what we were quoted but I probably would have paid for it anyways. Unfortunately Andrew was acting like a child and made us feel like he is blaming us for doing something wrong to him and was clearly upset at us. Making customers feel this bad is a true shame. No, I do not recommend this business to my friends or family because I do not want them to have a similar experience we just had. Update: I went to one of their competitors and had a MUCH better experience. I could tell he cared so much and quoted me under $60 for the material. OUT THE DOOR! His prices overall are much less and his business seems a lot more organized. None of this false quoting then charging me almost double and blaming it on tax and shipping. read more

The staff at Jordans are great, I've taken odd jobs to them over the years since the 70,s from modifications to off road racing seat belts to complete reupholstery to two separate vehicles as well as other jobs and they've always provided better than factory quality results. Recently, I had a small repair job that required some heavy duty stitch work. I barely walked in and Julia greeted me and right away took my somewhat unusual request over to Andrew and within just a few short minutes Andrew handed me the completed job. This is a family business that has been here since 1954. Finding the business can be a hassle as they are right on S Coast Hwy in downtown Oceanside. There's no parking at the front really, so you are best off turning on West Street and then immediately turning into the alleyway behind the business. You can park somewhere behind their loading dock. Again, there's really no official parking spot here either. I came in with a large ottoman with a microfiber exterior that was urinated on by a pet. I was quoted $250 for the ottoman to have all the interior foam removed and replaced. Though it took them quite a long time to complete the project, I was in no rush and it ended up not being a big deal. When I picked up the finished ottoman, they had done a really good job.The urine aroma was eliminated and the interior foam had been replaced but also upgraded from the original material, which was saggy and loose, to a new foam that was super firm and dense. It is probably 400% firmer right now, which is awesome. The webbing was also tightened up. I wasn't expecting all of that - a nice surprise! My main criticism is that throughout the process there was spotty communication. A few voicemails went unanswered and we were unsure of the timeline for completion. However, once I got them on the phone, we were able to work out the timeline and the item was ready when they said it would be. The total price for everything ended up being $288. That was very close to the original quote, so I was happy. Overall, I'd recommend this business for sure, but you may need to be more persistent on getting a completion date and work harder for communication. I think the extra effort is worth it because they do great work. read more
