I have purchased cakes and other goodies from you place and had high regards to quality and taste. The most recent purchase, however, was such a disappointment. After living in Japan for almost 20 years, you crave for a Japanese Cheesecake! I've had and seen many of this cake before. After receiving email that you are offering it (see photo from email), I jumped into action and ordered the day before. I was told it would be ready after 9:30 am, I came a little past 11am, was shown a cake that looked like a volcano crater, which I refuse to take (was told that the oven was not cooperating), so I was told that I should come back after 2pm. I called at 2pm only to be told you that it would be another 30 minutes. I came back at about 3pm, and was given one (see second picture, not quite a crater), but still not close to what it should look like, as shown in the third photo. Please do not advertise Japanese cheesecake, if you can't deliver one! Taste wise though, it's ok. read more

I have ordered a carrot cake, my sons graduation cake and 2 dozen cupcakes for one of my other son's promotion at school. Every single piece I have ordered from Tony has been excellent Man the carrot cake he made for me was the best I've ever had. I love carrot cake but some places make the icing too sweet. Tony's carrot cake was awesome. The cupcakes he made for us, the moms couldn't stop asking where I bought them from. I gladly gave them his name and number I have 5 kids and its birthday season from September to January for me so I'll be using Tony for all my bday cakes. I ordered 2 dozen cupcakes for my sister in laws grad party. I filled out an order form on Tony's website (don't use the one on yelp, there's a couple different things between the two forms), and tony got back to me via email. 2 dozen cupcakes were $48 so $24 per dozen. I ordered chocolate with Nutella filling, vanilla with vanilla filling, and red velvet with cream cheese filling. I thought 24 cupcakes was gonna be enough, but within minutes the cupcakes were gone. And everyone kept asking me where I ordered the cupcakes from because they were delicious. They were so good I wish I had ordered more. read more

Upon trying to find somewhere to make my husbands special order birthday cake the only bakery I found was Tony's cakes. I filled out a simple quote form online and had a quote back the next day. At first I thought the price was a little high, but a special order came to feed 40 people for 115 wasn't bad and I was happy to support a local business. Spending this much on a cake I thought to myself this better be the best cake I've ever eaten and boy was it. It was delicious. All of our guests commented on how good it was. Used them in an emergency and was pleasantly surprised. Generally, I (and my family) don't like most bakeries chocolate cupcakes or cake because they tend to be much too sweet or rich, but they frost theirs with whipped cream and chiffon cakes so they are fluffy and not overly sweet. read more

Saturday, August 18, 2018 I was asked to pick up at 4 tier cake for a dear friends wedding. I was faced with a horrible situation. I was almost at the venue when the cakes 2 top tiers toppled over. I got to the venue and just started crying. I just kept thinking, I'm going to ruin the most important day for this bride. I thought to myself, what can I do. Who could possibly help me? So I called Tony Cakes. Tony answered and as I explained what happened. I asked him if I could FaceTime him. He didn't even hesitate . He said bring it to me. This was a cake that Tony didn't make for me. It was from a total different bakery. I took the cake to Tony and sure enough he worked his magic and saved the day. He didn't just fix the cake he even delivered it. His truly a remarkable person with so much creativity and talent with his work. He knows his work to the T! Being someone who only orders top notch cakes from the best bakeries for over 15 years I know a good bakery when I walk inside one. I had a bad feeling the moment I walked in. The staff are extremely rude and have no customer service skills. The guy told me he was too busy to help me and pretty much kicked me out. When I walk in to Katrina Rozelle and Le Gateu Elegant bakeries in Alamo and Walnut Creek where I live I'm greeted with a smile and right away they make me feel like my order is important.
