I recently purchased Tony's Bolos Levedos muffins and when I sliced the first one open, it was uncooked on the inside. I then sliced them all open, and none were cooked on the inside, so I had to throw them all away. Very disappointing!

Exceptional Portuguese sweet breads, biscoitos, loafs of breads etc. Bread in it's purist form!! Worth taking a road trip if anywhere in the state! Very, very nice people. Very helpful. Cash ONLY!!!

I stop for bolos whenever I travel to the Cape. I like the raisin bolos best. Toast them and butter them up!

Absolutely the finest! I think of them as the taste of Provincetown. I can't wait to get them each and every summer.

Ask the Community - Tony's Bakery

Does anyone know where the muffins can be purchased on the cape?

The only place I know is Ocean State Job Lot. Every one of them has Tony's Bakery stand, but they are unreliably restocked, don't always have the muffins, and are often empty in summer. It is usually hopeless early in the week, but the odds seem… Read more

Typically my grandparents or mother make the trek to Fall River to pick up their fresh made bread, spinach and meat pies, but today I volunteered to make the drive there myself. While the building is large, the 'shop area' is small, consisting of an L shaped counter, a few shelves with some pantry staples, and two refrigerated cases with beverages, yogurt, and cheeses. There was a steady stream of foot traffic while I was there, people mostly popping in to get a few pies for lunch or stocking up on bread. The line moved quickly and efficiently and we were in and out in no time at all. Their pricing is reasonable and the quality of the food is excellent. We spent just about $100 today, but came home with dozens of spinach and meat pies to share and enough bread to stock our freezer for a few weeks. Definitely worth the drive. Pro tip: order one day ahead for 'party size' spinach and meat pies - a smaller version of their traditional pies - which are perfect for any party or family get together.

My go to choices are the meat pie and the open faced cheese. I mean how do you go wrong with feta?! It's my favorite cheese and I want it on everything. I also purchase the Syrian/pita bread for my hummus and tabouli. Everything I have ever tried is always good and super fresh. The staff hustles in that store and always serve with a smile no matter how busy they are. The parking is a little difficult and the place is busy so you have to be patient but it's well worth it.
