I've brought several items here, from pants hemming to jacket tailoring, and every single time the service has been outstanding. Tony Tran Alterations is always polite, professional, and helpful, and they've even accommodated me when I needed something done a little sooner than expected. It's not the closest tailoring shop to me, but the quality of work and customer service make it well worth the trip. I have no interest in going anywhere else. If you're looking for a reliable place to get your clothes tailored, this is it. read more

I am about a year or so late on my review but I had an amazing experience with Mr. Tony & his wife. I came in for a rush order for my wedding dress and reception fit and my husband's buttons replaced on his tux. I needed my detached sleeves resized and a belt added to my dress plus my train shortened on my reception fit. They were able to do all of these items less than a week from drop off and the work was amazingly done. They were very reasonably priced for 5 speciality pieces. I would highly recommend them!! read more

They did excellent work on pant alterations and were quick as well. Would definitely recommend.

The best/fastest in the area. I have had all kinds of things altered here - dresses, pants, CURTAINS, you name it. Came in yesterday for a simple hem job - another business told my husband 5 days; Tony got it done the same day. I won't go anywhere else! read more

Excellent work. I took my daughter to have her prom dress tailored, it needed to be taken in several inches. The dress fits perfectly. Tony and his wife are great at their work. I will be a repeat customer. read more

my mom and brother went in this gentlemans store, and he was truly utterly disrespectful. My mother told him that she would look around and he totally disrespected her. He told her to get out and that she would not have any business with him. And on top of that he was Asian, to me you don't treat a customer like that. Whether they want your business or not. I would not recommend anybody to go there. read more

A great, reliable and responsive tailor. I went to them to have a dress altered for a gala. They were surprisingly timely with the short window of time left before my event. I was very pleased with the result and client service. I highly recommend this establishment and will be returning again! read more

Very good but a bit pricey. Would go back and recommend this business to others. The turnaround time was reasonable. I would definitely go back again and recommend to others. read more

Quick and friendly service. You walk in and show them what needs to be done to your clothing, then go in to the dressing room and then they get your exact measurements and they tell you how much it will cost and time it will be done. It's a family run business , just husband and wife, very nice. I will recommend to other friends getting ready for special occasions. read more

Tony Tran Alterations - Best place to get tailored in town! - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Waldorf, Maryland

Tony was very nice, professional, responsive, accommodating, and did an excellent, same day job on my pants. I highly recommend this shop.

I was having a hard time finding a tailor in Waldorf and stumbled upon Tony Tran Alterations. He told us what he could do and could not do and boy did he deliver. I spent thousands on my tux for my wedding (couture). When I got my tux from the manufacturer it came too small. I brought it to Tony and he did such an amazing job really gave me everything I could ask for! Amazing experience from the first step in to the parting remarks out the door!!! I would 100% recommend! read more

Amazing! I recently purchased my prom dress online and it came in, unexpectedly tight. The fabric was very limited and it wouldn't even go over my hips. Being my first time getting alterations done, i was a bit nervous. My dress was very pricey & had very expensive material. When i entered Tran Alterations i was greeted with happy faces & amazing attentive service from the staff. They made me feel comfortable & i trusted them very much! Less than 2 weeks later my dress fit! They added a zipper, and extra fabric to make me feel beautiful. Thank you so much Tran Alterations!! read more

Incredibly skilled tailor with personalized service. Tony rushed a custom job for my family right before Thanksgiving and saved the day! I'm not sure what the poor rating is about below ...looks like the persons first and only yelp review. I highly recommend Tran Alterations. read more

Had my tux altered on time and everything fit like I wanted it to. He tapered the pants and suit pants. He also fixed the collar gap by removing material below the collar on the suit jacket so that there was no bunched material on the back of the jacket below the collar. I will be going back for more alterations in the future. read more

Trans Alterations is by far one of the best alteration businesses I've come across in a long time. They always provide great customer service. They have done alterations on my suits and always ensured it was perfect. This time I brought in a custom NFL jersey that we spent a lot of money but that was too small, Mr Tran was able to resize it for me and now it fits perfect! They are really great at what they do. I'd highly recommend their services, quality work! read more

I cannot further explain my dissapointment towards this place, today 15 October 2018 I went in with my Husband and recieved the worse customer service of my life. While we were explaining to the guy what we needed to get fix, he was looking at the TV the entired time, 30 mins of my life wasted and he didn't pay any attention to us when we were telling him "can it be done or not?" "Could you please pay attention to us?" "you need to shut that TV off" we told him, and then 30 mins later he gave me a price of $75 for only one Item this is very ridiculous, I mean the outfit cost me $20 dollars l, then he told my husband he couldn't fix his outfit, I will never go back there!NEVER! read more

Took my daughters prom dress in for alterations. Great service .. delivered as promised

I have been a customer for 5-/12 years. Tony's work is impeccable and his customer service is superior to what I have encountered in even the most high end stores. He goes above and beyond to meet short deadlines. Over the years he has taken care of my husband, sons, and daughter. From business suits and evening gowns to a custom made 25 foot tablecloth, he has done it all and with perfection! read more

I am completely and totally satisfied with the alterations that were done to my wedding dress. They did and excellent job and I would recommend them to any bride or groom. They took my sleeves in and let out my dress where it was extremely tight on my legs. I'm one happy bride to be. :) read more

I searched high and low for a tailor and finally stumbled across Mr. Tran's location by accident. The other two locations I went to had closed permanently. I just needed some pants shortened and he did a superb job! He's also extremely friendly and the prices are incredibly reasonable. I highly recommend this location for all of your dry cleaning and alteration needs. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I took a bridesmaid dress here for simple alterations and he completely butchered it. He cut the floor-length dress too short and the hem was uneven. The shoulder straps were different lengths. Finally, there was a beautiful lace appliqué that he cut up and completely ruined. When I took it back to show him the mistakes, he was incredibly rude and arrogant. He kept insisting that there was nothing wrong with the dress. Then he fought with me and refused to give me my money back. I have never seen such incredibly sloppy work and poor customer service in my life. I just took the dress to another tailor who told me that it can't be salvaged. Now I'm two weeks out from the wedding with no dress to wear. Not to mention the fact that I have to throw my $300 dress away and buy a new one. Please save yourself the stress and go somewhere else for your alterations. read more

Gave this place three chances because it is so close. Would definitely advise going somewhere else like Top Flight Cleaners for any alterations. First time I came in here he had the TV blasting loud and I couldn't understand him even though I asked to turn down the volume and even while he was doing alterations he would stop and just watch tv for a few minutes and then continue. The second time was about the same scenario. Both of my slacks that have been hemmed here have fallen apart after just a single use. The technique he uses only involves a single knot on each side so if you put them on the extra material will get in the way and the hemming is destroyed. Finally I got three pairs of jeans and wanted them to be "tapered" and "hemmed" but as I was talking to him he was only half listening. I kept trying to confirm with him and he just kept saying "yeah I know there all the same brand so it's easy" i even had jeans that were already hemmed and tapered on as an example so that I could show him. The jeans were hemmed well but they were not tapered. I understand I didn't pay the price for hemming and tapered but at the end of the transaction I was trying to confirm it and put emphasis on "tapered and he said "yeah it'll be done." When I went back to talk about the mistake he was rude and didn't want to take any blame for the miscommunication. Would not recommend also the prices aren't exactly a deal so you're not missing out on anything. read more
