    Poor Tailoring

    I would not recommend this tailor for women. Female clients are directed by Luis to work with Patricia. I went in to have a coat tailored which she told me it would be ready in 2 weeks asking me to call her cell to set a pickup time. It wasn't ready in 2 weeks. I tried to calling again in 3 weeks, received no response. After a month I called the number on google which Luis answered. After I spoke to him Patricia kept texting saying it was ready for pickup. It wasn't. When I got there she just rushed to finish the coat after I arrived. I picked up the coat on Thursday by Saturday it has a large tear, pictured here. Please don't use Patricia if your expecting quality work.

    Luis Tailor Shop did a fantastic job on a belt that I had gotten my boyfriend on a trip to Milan. I was not able to return the belt as I had gotten it overseas so we had to have it altered. Having never had a belt altered but many garments altered I figured this would cost a fortune! Luckily I found Luis Tailor Shop and they did a fantastic job at a wonderful price as you can see many inches were taken off the belt and it was only $24. They were able to keep the inscription intact and even resew the embellishment.

    Does great work, consistently. Definitely call to make sure items are ready to pick up, but they are always well-done when completed.

Amazing customer service on the phone and in person. Their front desk staff are also so wonderful, kind, and helpful. I live all the way in Silver Spring MD and will be making the drive just to come here. They are incredible and really handled my expensive coats with care. The initial service was impeccable, which is why I decided to return. I'm giving two stars out of grace for that first visit. Unfortunately, my second experience with the exact same item was disappointing. When I picked up my comforter, I noticed small specks of lint scattered across it. I brought this to the manager's attention, and while she insisted she personally handled my item and attempted to remove the lint, that explanation didn't align with the final result. If the issue couldn't be resolved, I should have been notified before leaving--not after I had to point it out myself. I did receive a refund, which I appreciate, but I genuinely wanted this to work. It seemed like the manager had already made up her mind that nothing further could be done, and there was no real effort to try to resolve the issue. At that point, I simply asked for my item back so I could take it somewhere that handles items with more care and attention to detail. It honestly made me question whether my comforter was mixed in with others during the process, especially since I take great care in maintaining it, including regularly steam disinfecting it at home. What was also frustrating was that instead of focusing on my concern, the manager began explaining how other customers' items can come in, as if I was expected to sympathize. My only concern was the condition of my item. Based on this experience, I would recommend keeping it simple here--stick to everyday dry cleaning. I would not suggest bringing larger bedding items like comforters or duvet covers, as the quality and attention to detail may not be consistent.
