They just opened two weeks ago and there is still some kinks to work out. I ordered a medium rare sizzler ribeye steak. After 35 minutes, it showed up burnt to a crisp and total overcooked. It also came with mashed potatoes and green beans that were room temperature. I sent the steak back and received another one 20 minutes later medium well but eatable . The bartender apologized and that's all. Never saw a manager. I'm not from the area so I probably won't be back. But give them some time and things hopefully will improve.

This is the sampler trio dish I have ordered twice. They still have not really got the hang of it.

The beef was clearly ground in house and was a wonderful coarse grind. excellent. With the buns charred on the grill, it made an excellent light lunch without any sides needed. Added bonus for house brewed beer. Found the kolsch a tasty lunch treat. Warmish inside, and hot outside, sadly the views that day were shrouded in haze. Don't know when we'd ever be back in the area, but if we were, I'd not hesitate to suggest a repeat stop.

The food, seating environment and view (or course) are really good. Pricing is on the higher end but fair for what you get. So 3 stars for that. The staff that greets and seats you--as well as our waitress--was unfriendly bordering on rude. Just weird. Our local friends state that there are a lot of out-of-state residents living nearby (especially California expats) and they're not well liked. That may be the case, but it appeared that everyone was treated shabbily. Kinda sours the experience. Lastly, there were a lot of flies. I counted 10 at one time near the entrance, kitchen and booth seating. You can see a few on the photo I attached. That really hurts the dining experience. This is a one and done for us.

There's plenty of parking nearby so you don't have to walk far. This neat beer bar reminds me of the crowler shops that you used to find around Atlanta, with around 30 taps containing about a thrid local beer, so you can sample several local breweries without visiting each one (they're mostly not too near each other so this is very convenient). The taproom "beertender" seemed to be fairly knowledgeable regarding the various offerings - there's also a convenient list highlighting the different beers with style notes. We sat at the bar and were able to bring in some food from the nearby restaurants (I grabbed some wings at the nearby Marthie Ann's which were excellent). To drink I tried Hoptown's own Orange Mango Wheat - a somewhat basic wheat beer with hings of sweet tangerine and mango - nothing special. I had a Maine Brewing "Lunch" with the wings which is always a winner - it's an exceptional New England IPA. Service was great - I can see myself hitting Ooltewah just to come by for a break in driving.

I had the "Beer Flavored Beer" that was absolutely excellent and followed that up with the "Crisp AF Pilsner" that was also very good. Tasty and exactly what a beer is supposed to taste like. It was a little chilly, but not quite "Ohio" chilly so we sat ourselves outside with a couple of hazy IPA aka Juice Bombs from Sloop Brewery. This brew pub is sandwiched between brick buildings: Stacks, a burger pub, on the right and another commercial building on the left. Across the street is the Police, so be warned, and don't get too funky. We asked if they had food and said no but it was ok to get some take out and eat it at their table or order from Stacks (what we did) and they bring it to your table from next door. Even better. Stacks' mushroom burger and stack cheese burger were very good too. We washed those down with another set of local IPAs called Southeast by Tailgate Brewery in Nashville, TN, also very good. Some of the tables have heating lamps which would have been nice as it got chillier. Not ours. But no sweat. This place does occasionally make their own beer as well but it's primarily a brew pub which sells other beer and canned beer from all over. I'm glad we had a chance to come. Now for the drive home. Thankfully we are less than 2 hours away. Atlanta here we come!

I stop everytime I head down south from Nashville, usually working in the side room for half the day so I can avoid rush hour in Nashville. From a beer standpoint, this is one of the top breweries in Tennessee. They are well known nationally, as well. The building is a warehouse looking structure on the outside, but they have nicely decorated the tap room. Ample seating both inside and out and they have bands on some weekends. I have tried the flatbreads, a couple of sandwiches, and the Dinosaur wings (only kidding, but they are the largest chicken wings they can buy, so ample sized). I prefer the wings most of the time - except their rendition of Nashville Hot - but this time opted for a meatball sandwich. If you are trying to be an Italian food afficianado, this might not be in, but the sauce works well with these meatballs and there is ample cheese. As one normally focusing on Keto, adding a fork meant I could eat the kibbles and bits and leave the bun. Two thumbs up. As for the beer, they have some of the best IPAs and I finally tried the porter this go around. Many of their beers are rated above 4.0 on untappd and it is not just a local bump kind of thing. The brewery, as a whole, is 3.92 and also well deserved. To my normal "Will I be back" question, I think the answer is already clear. I do return almost every time I pass by.

((back home we have a brewery, called 3rd Planet, with a kid area that is sectioned off with a fence and netting for kids to run around, throw balls, and truly play and have fun while the adults enjoy a minute to relax and unwind.)) we got lucky and it happened to be bingo night! that was such a fun time with my family. it was a packed house i'm guessing because of bingo night. the swag shop has plenty of options and i got a pint glass for only $7 to remember this great vacation in chattanooga:)
