This is an update from a previous visit where, as a wheelchair user, I was frustrated over the dearth of seating that could accommodate me. Well, they must have updated since that time, because I had no problems this visit. Plenty of regular table space at which to position a powerchair. Food was great, and I felt the value was good, too. I had the Coconut Shrimp. Excellent. And, naturally, we enjoyed the Bloomin' Onion. The real story, though, was our service. Ours was a large group in a Sunday afternoon celebrating a birthday, and our server, Elle or maybe Ellie, was outstanding. We never lacked or waited very long for anything. I ordered online for carry out. Though the dining room is open, I did not feel ready to dine in with the pandemic still in full swing. Ordering online was a breeze and the order was ready within the given timeframe. Pickup was phenomenal because as soon as I pulled into the designated space for curbside a server came out with my order. I ordered the blooming onion and deep fried mushrooms. Bread came as a complimentary side. Blooming sauce came with the onion and house made ranch came with the mushrooms. Portion size was good and I was very impressed. Everything was hot and fresh. The mushrooms were perfectly seasoned and very addictive. The house made ranch was some of the best I have had. It had the perfect blend of spices and the consistency was perfect for dipping. The blooming onion was huge and super fun to share. I did not care for the blooming onion sauce but it was just a matter of my personal taste. The seasoning of the sauce was well balanced and I feel it is the perfect compliment to the onion itself even if I didn't care for the taste. The bread was warm and soft. I usually do not care for dark breads but this one was perfect. It was served with real butter and I can see myself calling in orders for just the bread! Caleb at the bar is a ROCKSTAR! After a miserable experience last night at another steakhouse, I went tried and true tonight. Was my meal cooked perfectly? Nope - but it was corrected immediately, and a manager came and apologized ( slightly undercooked.. just a little too rare for me). Caleb was just the right amount of attentive. I was there on a recent Sunday, along with five others. Three had steak, one had the Alice Springs chicken, one had the coconut shrimp, and I chose the grilled shrimp. First off as we unwrapped the napkins, three of us noticed that there was caked on and dried food on our forks. The three who had steaks were happy with theirs; the chicken and coconut shrimp were marginally "ok . ." and my grilled shrimp tasted like it was made the week+ before. It was overcooked and dry, and the baked potato was so oversalted I couldn't eat it. I left it, as well as most of the shrimp, and when asked if I wanted a go-to box I declined. When I went to the ladies' room, one paper towel dispenser was empty and the other was malfunctioning (would only dispense a small bit of paper towel at a time). The restaurant was busy, and our server was good, but we definitely wont be back. read more

Given all of this I would say it is over priced. For a few more bucks you can go to higher end locations and skip this one. Best time I've had in a very long time. Came in with my boys for a birthday dinner. Our server was reallY good. I forgot her name it started with a V. She looks like Eva Mendez and Megan fox combined, so no complaints there. She knew how to pace our food properly and everything came out like a 4 course meal at perfect timing, we had forgot that we were eating at Outback due to the service being so on point. Food so good Make You Wanna Slap Yo Mama! I usually don't tell Tales like this about franchise restaurants but man this Outback has really shown itself over the course of time and improved year by year. I've been following and eating at this establishment for well over 20 years and I must say OMG! The Alice Springs Chicken is definitely a must try and even though it's not on the menu if you have a little one and it's their birthday or you just have kids in general ask for the spotted dog Sunday! That's a throwback oldie right there that only the classics know about. Restrooms are subpar here as I get that many people are starting not to really take care of those, but not to iki to wash your hands and take a leak. They have a great bar seating area that is usually first come first serve and if you get to know the bartenders and servers there and you are regular they definitely treat you well. Food comes out pretty quick here and this is an awesome place even if you have a large party to celebrate. I have seen a party of 30 in there that had a whole section and that's very rare for any restaurant to allow that. It's near all the cool stuff including the mall so after a long day of shopping this is definitely a must stop! Three stars because our waiter was excellent. Everything else was disappointing... the blooming onion was so greasy, there was literally a puddle of oil on the plate. The piña colada tasted like they threw some ice and a cheap Walmart mix in a blender, stuck an orange slice and cherry on top, and called it fancy. The steak we got was the least expensive one and came with this wine sauce on top of it... sounds good right? It wasn't. I have to admit their bread with butter was soft and deliciously warm... the caesar salad was pretty good, and the loaded baked potato that came with our steak was my personal favorite part of our meal. Outback is one of my favorite restaurants. This particular Outback has always been my favorite. I've been going for years. The temperature has always been comfortable during all seasons. The food has always been cooked the way I've ordered it and has always come out to the table in a very reasonable time frame. In my mind it has always been five stars to me. I'm giving it four this time as I was very shocked at the wait time for our food. It was almost an hour. The food was still hot and delicious though. Took my wife out for dinner @ Outback at Hamilton Place for prime rib. I was certain it was bonifide grade A kangaroo. This was the toughest, driest and largest disappointment in prime rib we've ever had! This was the third attempt to enjoy a meal @ Outback. Three strikes and we're out. Never, ever again. This was my first time at outback steakhouse in several years. Really had a hankering for the Bloomin onion so enjoyed getting the rose petals which is the smaller version. The sauce is always to die for! Ended up getting a 6 ounce sirloin with a baked potato and a side salad. I don't eat much red meat anymore and honestly I guess I should've splurge on a filet. I got my steak done medium rare and for the sirloin quality I probably should've gone medium. I just felt like the meat was tougher and chewier than I prefer. The flavoring was good though. Now this is not specific to outback; but just in general for chain restaurants I need to vent about how they have to include all the calories on the menu. When I'm going out to eat I don't want to see all the calories that just makes me feel guilty. Oh well... read more

Our last several visits to the outback in Dalton had left a bad taste in our mouth, but after months of being away from the ahi tuna, we thought we would give the Outback in Chattanooga a chance. My fiancé and I are former servers of outback and therefore we know what good service and what good food should taste like, and this visit, it exceeded all of our expectations. The hostess greeted us as soon as we arrived. The dining room was clean as well as the bathroom, the decor stood as any other outback's. What made the biggest difference during this encounter is our server. Taylor was phenomenal from start to finish and even though she got double to triple sat at times, she did everything with poise and had a smile on her face. She truly made our dinner experience remarkable. Although we sat right in the corner near the restrooms, and behind a booth that would cover our view from other people, Taylor never let our drinks get too low, she brought us everything we needed in a timely manner although she was extremely busy, and we were very impressed. As for the food, it was good but not the best we've had. We ordered the full ahi tuna to start. The ahi has been extremely cut back since the days we use to work. The slices are so thin now and in a couple of bites it's gone. We also ordered a 12 oz prime rib to share along with 2 French onion soups and a side of macaroni and cheese because they have the best. The soups were cooked perfectly and even with all picky details, I.e, my fiancé gets the French onion soup with no cheese and double croutons and my salad I want no cheese, extra tomatoes, and tangy tomato dressing on the side. Everything came out just to our liking which we applaud. The prime rib was cooked to a perfect medium, with a side of Au jus. We had plenty for leftovers. So overall, we left stuffed, and completely satisfied. We have found our new outback that we enjoy and will be back soon :) read more
