Located in Tempe Market Place, there is a Toni&Guy salon. Recently, I needed a hair refresh and had limited time I could book before leaving for a work trip. I enjoyed my experience at the San Tan location in September 2025, so I decided to give this location a try. Sierra was my stylist and very welcoming. I booked a re-tint, so we needed to match my hair color as it had faded since doing about 6 weeks prior. Very grateful she checked in after the roots to touch up the ends as needed. It turned out to be a more chocolate black, then my usual black but I like it! Appreciate her mentioning to come in within a week if so wasn't satisfied. Overall, a great experience and the price point for a hair tint is very reasonable for me. I didn't have time for a cut & style, but maybe next time when I return from Florida. read more

I've gone to Toni&Guy for decades, but it had been... a long time. Two and a half years ago, I called them to ask a question. Could my old salon fix my new deep depression hair? In 2020, a month into COVID and too depressed to properly care for my waist-length hair, I put a #2 guard on a trimmer and shaved it off. Two years later it was long again, and my depression had somewhat abated. But by then, my hair was literally matted in places. I needed a stylist who could fix it, because I was having no luck on my own and didn't want to shave it again. Enter Rena. Not only did she fix my hair (and scalp), she did it without showing any outward signs of judgement. From that day, she's been my stylist. Whether I want my hair straightened, blown out, or in my natural waves, Rena keeps me looking fantastic. Plus, Toni&Guy is just a great salon with a chill vibe. I have been coming to this particular salon for about 5 years and will be the last time I go here or ANY Toni&Guy salon. The staff were catty and snotty to me the whole 3 hours I was there and I was very polite. Kept making remarks to get a reaction out of you which is very uncomfortable. So if you're a pretty girl and nice beware they will be rude to you. I was sat and went over the face framing highlights I wanted but the end result was not the inspo I "agreed" to with the stylist. I wanted a solid soft blonde halo/ money pieces and got streaky dingy highlights.The brushes she used to comb my hair were dirty, had other clients hair in them. Gross/ unhygienic. Also they stylist was trying to make small talk with me or more felt like a forced snarky conversation but after awhile I just wanted to sit and enjoy my service but when I just tried to sit there she would become visibly annoyed by me sitting on my phone so I felt forced to have a conversation. She also would pull and grip my hair very hard so that was very uncomfortable and very unpleasant. During the middle of my appointment her next client came in and I was thrown to another stylist to finish. Again she washed my hair very VERY rough.. I was so shocked at this point that I just wanted to leave. I was asked if I wanted a blow dry and I just wanted to pay and leave so I declined. After that they kept pressuring me to at least have the front pieces dried so I agreed. I was handed off to ANOTHER hair stylist so 3 in total. She was the only nice one who was very gentle and polite. I was also up charged an additional $60.00 on top of my base service for highlighting toner. Why not include that in the service when I booked for highlights already? Overall this was the RUDEST, horrible, overly aggressive hair appointment of my life. I will NEVER spend another penny here OR recommend this place to anyone. Staff needs a major overhaul and classes on customer service/ professional etiquette. Don't bother booking. read more

Iloilo megaworld specifically, is my first time trying this or any of their locations worldwide... I had heard good things and I booked an appointment yesterday in person. I saw that in print the price for shampoo and style short hair, 750 pesos Filipino, 1000 pesos for long hair, which is what I have. I came in today for my appointment very happy with my stylist and tipped him 200 pesos but when I went to pay, I was charged 2000 pesos. I didn't even say anything- I just pointed to the price list at the 1000 price list. She said "well OK 1500". I just kept pointing at the price list. she double checked with her manager, who begrudging to shrug and say "fine will let her have her hairstyle for 1000 pesos" which is their printed advertised price. Really left a bad taste in my mouth, but I don't want anybody to take it out on Eric - he was a wonderful hairstylist and gave great advice for a tourist in the city. To the management; my message to you is stop with the false advertising and stop trying to scam Caucasian foreigners because some of us know how to read! read more

My 12yo was anxious for a new style/cut but Madds kept her calm, asked lots of questions to understand what we were looking for and explained every step of her process. My treatment at this salon was disappointing. I have been going to Toni snd Guy salons for 25 years. My stylist was so busy she put a mask on my hair and left my head back in a sink for 30 minutes. I was calling for help as I could not get my head up and I was dizzy, I had told her I had a next injury before and needed a bridge. They did not have one. Once seated in chair for cut, she was cutting the women next to me hair, and supervising numerous other cuts I sat while she went back and forth. I was there for 2 hours. My hair cut was not what I showed her, my hair looked like my same cut only a little shorter. I called to inform owners about the neck problem with sink.. without proper bridge.. that I ended up at chiropractor, and never recieved a call back. In early September I got my hair cut and styled at this location by Marissa. I was initially nervous as I had not cut my hair in several years, but Marissa was so friendly and after I showed her some inspo pics, she cut my hair exactly how I wanted it. The price was very reasonable for a wash, cut, and style, and at the end of my appointment I was given some recommendations on what products to start using in my hair. I've been using them ever since and have gotten so many compliments about my hair looking healthy. The next time I need a haircut I will absolutely be coming back to this salon. Not impressed. I was trying a new stylist under the impression this person had basic Experience, training and competence. I'm not usually the type to complain, but it was not a great experience through the process or the end result. I went through a thorough explanation of what I liked about my current hair cut and what I wanted addressed. Was very clear about what I was looking for and how I usually manage my day to day style. The stylist tools were dull, shears at times pulling on my hair as they were cutting. The stylist was not pay attention to the heat levels of the hair dryer, until I jumped in pain from direct heat. The stylist was rough handling my hair during the styling portion, staging my scalp with the brush bristles and pulling my hair to do a basic blow out. The first end result, I did not have even ends and had to make the stylist step away to see the visible difference between the edges on the left and right sides of my face. Final result, I basically ended up with a short bob with no undercut on the nap of my neck, and horrid edge finishing overall. I will not be returning because I do not trust my stylist's basic skills to correct the issues and from what I am reading from other complaints, the management will not offer an acceptable solution or refund. read more

This will be my absolute last time visiting Toni&Guy. I came here for a blow out/style. Super simple. The girl who did it absolutely damaged my hair. First, she barely washed it. It felt like there was still shampoo residue when she started adding conditioner. When she actually started blow drying my hair, it took her an hour!!! She put the wrong curlers in my hair that pulled my hair and then she read various brushes through my hair that pulled and tangled my hair. It hurt and damaged my hair. I asked for volume and curls and I left with the flattest hair I've ever had. An absolute waste of money. The children working here really don't have enough skills to even blow drying correctly. This was my first time visiting Toni&Guy and in the beginning I was extremely nervous as I've had the same hairdresser for 4 years but the salon made me feel extremely welcomed and eased my nerves. I deeply regret the recent experience I had at the salon. Upon calling ahead and being assured of a skilled stylist available for a trim my pixie cut, I arrived at the scheduled time of 4 o'clock. We had a detailed discussion about my preferences and concerns, particularly emphasizing the need to avoid cutting excessively short as I was growing out specific areas out. Despite this 10-to-15-minute conversation, the stylist (I believe her name was Maxie or Maisey) proceeded to do the exact opposite of what was discussed. The outcome was horrifying; my hair is uneven, far from what I had described and hoped for. This was especially disheartening as I have plans for Christmas parties and gatherings with family and friends over the holiday season. To compound the situation, the resolution offered--a mere 20% discount--felt inadequate given the severity of the situation. The request for the manager to address the issue was met with their inability to even work the register. At this point, I am truly devastated and embarrassed to face the upcoming events with this unfortunate haircut. The damage done is beyond repair, and a mere discount does not suffice. In my opinion, the appropriate recourse should involve rectifying the haircut by a skilled stylist, free of charge, considering the distress caused (once my hair grows out enough which will take quite some time since the stylist horribly butchered my hair.). I look forward to hearing from the manager to resolve this situation promptly however the way the entire situation has been handled I highly doubt I'll hear from the manager. Tony & Guy seems to be having a hard time staying relevant and I wouldn't be surprised if they're out of business soon. I sincerely regret having gone there today. Tired of lame conversation and boring cuts? See Judy. She's witty, hilarious, charming, and smart, but best of all she's a master at her craft and had me leaving the salon in smiles. I generally cut my hair 1-2 times a year and am usually disappointed after because stylists don't always listen with intent to understand. Don't get me wrong, I usually get an ok cut that looks kinda like a picture I reference, but the difference is Judy found the RIGHT version of the trendy cut I wanted and made it look great for my big ass head. I've always trusted this location for the best hair. My last experience was the worst ever. I spent over $500 and am sooo disappointed either way the results. I came in with surfer girl hair. Long hair with a dark root and blonde ends. I asked to cover any grays and strict dark brown and light blonde and specifically NO MONEY PIECE IN FRONT. Relocating from NYC area, I went to Toni & Guy Gilbert for cuts on a few occasions and then last autumn (2023) a Keritan treatment (because they do not do Brazilian, etc.) and hair was shiny, thick, etc. Then in June 2024 went for a $350 Keritan treatment - although stylist said they were using "newer" version went ahead and allowed her to apply - My hair color was completely stripped andeven drier than when I went in and for weeks later, my hair was falling out - although complained and stylist volunteered that yes the treatment stripped my hair colour and Toni and Guy offered a moisturising treatment... but not my $350 back for stripping my hair colour and loss of hair - would never, never let these people touch my hair again.... read more

So I called and spoke with the manager Allie and I told her how much I hated my hair. She scheduled me an appointment with her, she is super nice and very easy to talk to and keep a conversation with. She looked over my hair and gave me a couple options one was she could blend it and have me let it grow out or we could go shorter and blend the right side as much as possible. She washed and conditioned my hair and she is incredible! She gives a cranial massage while washing and conditioning and after a long week and being so upset about my hair I really needed that. She cut my hair, blew dry and styled and I loved it! She saved my hair and I couldn't be more happier! I had my son with me and when we walked he immediately says mom your hair looks really good I like it a lot, and my husband said same thing when we got home. She spent several minutes finding out exactly what look I wanted and ended up placing me with Crystal, the owner and director. This place is horrible. Sometimes I'd come and I'd be happy with my hair... but there is CONSTANTLY new stylists and rarely anyone ever stays. The last two times I got my hair done was a mess, first someone named Juno turned my hair orange with harsh root lines (not blended) unsure of the term for that.. then Sarah does my hair and I'm in there for almost 6 hours, she had Go back and touch up my hair because the lines were still harsh and the color was off but I still came out of the salon with my hair practically looking the same! Still orange! I was horrified and they offered to fix my hair but honestly after almost $700 later between the two recent appointments, I just want my money back before they mess it up for a third time!! In an almost empty salon, I had two other clients sat right next to me- I was almost knee to knee with another client when they both turned us around and another client was right behind me. It was utterly bizarre and I was almost done but I couldn't believe how bad this was. The person next to me kept taking off her mask to drink her starbucks. And it seemed like the stylists kept making jokes about having to sanitize. Truly weird environment. I go here bc it's close by and convenient but I have not been able to see the same stylist in the past three years I've gone here for random cuts blowouts and dye touch ups. I called to ask if they knew how to handle curly hair, the girl on the phone said yes and put me with two different technicians. I went in, I showed the first girl the color I wanted. The color is got was not the same. I asked for a deep red, I got brassy. Then came the cut, she proceeded to cut my hair while wet. That's not how you cut someone's curly hair. I asked her not to take more than an inch off and she took three from everywhere. Months of growth down the drain. Then came styling. I brought my own gel, she showed me how to curl them to make them more defined. Good, but then proceeds to brush my dry curls. When I went home and told my boyfriend that she brushed my curls his jaw dropping. Here is a man who never had curly hair that knew not to brush them. If anyone from the management team is reading this, either get your technicians trained on how to handle curly hair, or be upfront with your patrons, don't make us spend hundreds of dollars on something we didn't want. read more
