This was my first visit and haircut with verbena and he gave me exactly what I wanted and more. He listens and educates and I highly recommend him for any of your hair care needs. For reference I have thick long curly hair and needed him to fix an uneven, long layer situation and he overdelivered. Save yourself and do not go to this salon!…read more I was in contact with David on November 18, 2024. David was sent a photo of my desired look and my current color. I made an appointment for November 19, 2024 and showed David additional photos on my phone of my desired look. At first I thought everything was going OK but after the highlights that he put in I was a little concerned that the lower half of my hair was much darker than the highlights he had placed at the crown. but considering he was the owner of the salon I put my trust in him and decided to see how everything would turn out. David then put toner onto my hair which initially looked light which made me feel that everything was OK but then the toner turned a dark, dark color... almost black. And all of the highlights that he had just placed in became horrible. On top of this I had stained dye all over my face and at no point did he use conditioner while rinsing /washing my hair and it became full of knots and as they combed it my hair was just coming out in handfuls. I literally could not take anymore and got out of my chair before any more of my hair was pulled out. I then went up to pay my bill although I was absolutely full of tears and upset. He then had no problem telling me that it would be $250 even though he knew I was upset and did not like what he had done. He gave me a small discount and I left as soon as I possibly could. Again, fully crying. I initially had blonde highlights in my hair and all I wanted was the crown touched up with new highlights and some low lights added in as a medium to golden brown. My hair is now a dark, dark blackish brown ash color. The color of my roots which I wanted to go away and at no point did I ever think he would make my hair look as bad as it does. I am at a complete loss of what to do. David absolutely ruined my hair and at no point did he offer to correct the situation.

However, a couple of days before my appointment, I was informed that she had left the salon. I was rescheduled with Crystal, who was presented as a Master Elite stylist. I had booked a partial highlight. The result of that appointment was my hair going from warm blonde to being totally washed out and grey looking. A few days later, I returned so Crystal could try to correct the color she did. Unfortunately, I left with the result of a yellow correction that looked like I try to do it myself. Additionally, my first two appointments with Laura also required corrections. Altogether, I have spent nearly $1,300 at this salon, yet my hair has consistently required rework and still ended up looking horrible. I have photos but cannot see how to post them here. I posted a message on X but have not received any response from this studio. The title "Master Elite" carries a significantly higher price point and naturally comes with a higher level of expectation and expertise. Based on my experience, I am no longer willing to subject my hair to additional corrective services. At this point, I am requesting a refund for my last appointment. I believe that is a fair resolution given the repeated issues and the outcome I received.
